Used to be pretty decent store.But recently we don't shop here anymore.Because the manager and cashiers are literally standing at the front door smoking cigarettes while people go in and out. Came one night with 10 minutes left. Manager was yelling at customers if you're not out of here at 10 o'clock. The register shut down and you have to get out.

I was in line to check out, with a full basket and a new guy was on the register while another was standing there talking. 3 people ahead of me and they say our registers have shut down, we're sorry but we are closed! Why the heck wasn't he on the other register trying to help the rest of us check out?! What s waste of time!

I went in close to closing time. All I needed was a hot glue gun. There were no small one in the craft area , however I remembered seeing some on an end cap. I was correct and grabbed it. There were no mini glue sticks extra with it or on the end cap so I returned to the craft area where there were none either. Across from the counter are discounted Valentine's so I stopped to see. It took me seconds. I went to the counter where the two male employees were chatting and after the short long-haired guy finished what he was telling the taller one he looked at his register and said "OH, sorry it's 1 minute past 10pn we are closed. I said what do you mean I have a $3 item you can't ring me up because it is 1 minute past? He told me yes that is because their computers/register.automatically. I'm not sure if he was lying to me or not. If he wasn't to me than I believe Dollar General should reevaluate this procedure. If there had been a few people in line and I was at the end of it and this occurred I would have been more upset than I was. Yes I was upset because I was seconds past 10pm.
