Dr. Blanton and Dr. McCabe are both wonderful veterinarians and the staff is top notch. They have helped our elderly dog with everything from a damaged eye to a stroke. Our dog recently passed away and they just sent us a flower in memory of him, which to me meant the world. He was a huge part of our family.

Just called asking about setting up an appointment for my male kitten... The receptionist, Dawn, was literally so rude that I came to Google to leave this review. Its not as if I called using any kind of aggressive or hostile tone.. I'm trying to get my boy fixed.. and she was so ill mannered that I simply cannot let it go. If I worked with customers directly, and I spoke to a customer like that, I would expect to get fired soon after. She talked to me like I had poured sugar in her gas tank. Absolutely nothing professional whatsoever about her side of the conversation. She showed no empathy, didn't seem to care about anything, and honestly as if she didn't even want to be there today. If you don't like your job, especially when it comes to a profession involving the care of pets we love, maybe you should consider finding a new job, because your terrible personality is only going to drive customers away from seeing a vet who everyone has nothing but compliments about, and I think that's extremely unfortunate because I can only imagine how many clients Dr. Blanton loses any time you're working the phones, Dawn. In the interest of full disclosure on my review, she told me we had to wait another month before getting him fixed. I understand this, and I would have been perfectly fine with that answer, but I think everyone can agree that the smallest amount of customer service and communication skills make all the difference in the world in a situation like this, and you, have neither of these things, hence the purpose of this review. My apologies to Dr. Blanton for leaving a bad review that is in no way, shape, or form his fault. But I refuse to leave my boy in the hands of even an assistant with your attitude. Clean it up, sort yourself out, or find a job that doesn't require answering phones. Towards the end of the conversation I had paused briefly to think about what I'd like to do regarding finding a new vet or giving them a chance, at which point she went so far as to ask, "What else do you want me to say?!" in a VERY aggressive tone, at which point I had my decision and had immediately decided to post this review about her. This is NOT acceptable for someone answering phones for a business.

I have used Dr. Blanton and his wonderful staff for at least 26 years and he is the best. He is a very warm and caring person and has taken the best of care for all my dogs. I wish I could give him 10 stars.Theyra Ward

Every person Ive met there has been kind, professional, and personable from phone inquiries to in person clerk interactions to the vet assistants and vet. Appointments are quick and easy to make. Today I was able to call at 11 am and secure a 3pm appt; pretty great! The vet is really easy to talk to and is very gentle with my pets. Prices are super affordable. Try them, you'll love them!

First of all, I like Dr Blanton . I will continue to use him as our vet. The boarding experience was horrible . New to San Angelo , & I expressed that . I was not given a tour of the facility . It was a cacophony of barking & whining . I paid $30 a night for him to be kept in a "separate " room . Not! When I arrived to pick him up , I watched as she went towards the see thru cubicle to get him. When he saw her , he laid his ears flat , and backed up in fear. She kept trying to call him out, he kept backing up. I went and got him myself. I know my dog and judge how he was treated by his reaction, I have NEVER seen this reaction from him, & he was boarded several times at our vet n the town we moved from . Once we got home, he drank like he hadn't in a while, and won't let us out of his sight. We won't use this boarding facility again.

Friendly staff, I was traveling and ran out of heartworm medicine, they got my dog in and did heartworm test. Was very happy with the cost and the professional performance of vet and staff
