I’m a new Firestone customer who bought brand-new tires and wipers from the Concho location less than 8 months ago, opened a Firestone credit card, and have been going to them for multiple services—including oil changes. What I just experienced across three Firestone locations in San Angelo has completely destroyed any trust I had.
On April 26, I went to the Knickerbocker location for a scheduled oil change, and they told me there was a nail in my tire. But they were too busy and short-staffed to fix it and told me to make an appointment. I asked if it would be safe to drive, since I travel for work, and the tech assured me it was fine.
Fast forward to May 20—I had to leave the next day for work travel and figured I’d finally get that tire patched. I tried several Firestone locations, but they were all booked or too busy. So I went to the Southwest location hoping they could patch it and send me on my way.
Instead, the tech (Victor) told me the nail was too close to the track, and that the tire needed to be completely replaced. Then he claimed a lug nut was damaged, and the total would be $251.53. That was outrageous. These are Firestone tires installed less than a year ago—if a lug nut was stripped or cross-threaded, that’s on them.
I refused to pay, and the price suddenly dropped to $70, then $39. I assumed maybe they were taking some accountability, so I paid and left. I shouldn’t have.
When I got home, I had a gut feeling to check the tire—something I don’t usually do because I trust professionals to do their job. That’s when I saw it: they sent me home missing a lug nut. That is completely unsafe, and no one said a word.
Victor even admitted that Concho should never have let me drive around like that, but instead of fixing it, they had me call Concho to deal with it myself.
The next day, I finally spoke to the Concho manager, who claimed there was no record of my vehicle being serviced at Southwest the day before. That’s ridiculous—I have the online work order, receipt, and timestamps with all the employee names. He said he would speak to the district manager on my behalf. It’s been 5 days sense the incident and no one wants to take the responsibility let alone fix the issue.
In the end, I went to O’Reilly Auto Parts, paid $9.99 for a new lug nut, and a kind employee there helped me install it. That’s customer service. Firestone could learn a lot from them.
At this point, I can’t help but wonder if I was treated this way because I’m a woman. I felt dismissed, talked down to, and like no one at Firestone cared about my safety or about making things right.
I’m canceling my Firestone credit card, and I will never return to any Firestone in San Angelo.
To other women: do not trust Firestone in San Angelo. They are disorganized, unsafe, and do not take responsibility for their own work.

Had to make two appointments to get 1 tire changed, first time I went I was helped and my tire insurance wasnt answering the phone so I rescheduled for the earliest appointment the next day. I get there right at 8 and I was told they wouldn't be able to help me until 10... didn't even try to make the call just said no. Just go to Discount tire, service was so much kinder and I was in and out in under 40 mins. Its just down the road from this place.

Refuse to do a State inspection, no matter the date I come to get it done. Went on a Saturday, but was told they only do inspections on the weekdays. So I go on a Thursday, was told they're not doing inspections today, but when pressed about the previous story told to me, the employee clarified that the inspector "just left for the day." at 330pm, when they close at 6pm.

Victor and his team always take care of any issue I have with my vehicles and equipment. I have taken trailers, tractors, 4 wheelers there for tires, oil changes and general repairs and they always fix it right the first time and the technicians are always there to answer questions. I always recommend them to anyone I meet that needs repairs or tires, I know I can drop my vehicle off, tell them what's wrong and they will call me with an estimate and even offer preventative maintenance services!! Great place I recommend to everyone. Thank you

Just generally unenjoyable experience. Scheduled an appt for oil change and inspection (not sure I understand why). Was told it would take 45 minutes, ended up being over an hour and a half. Then the two employees in front had a verbal argument that lasted a solid 10 minutes. Can’t say I’ll be back.
