I have had 2 appointments scheduled this week one for my son and one for my husband both 8 am appointments. Both time the doctors have not been at the office. Why are we scheduling appointments if the doctor isn’t there?My husband actually left his appointment this morning at 8:30 without seeing the doctor because he still wasn’t there and had to return to work. This is horrible practice and we will most likely be switching our whole families eye care needs elsewhere.

My eye exam was a lot more thorough than my previous optometrist. Staff was really nice and professional. It's homey and nice and everyone makes you feel comfortable. Definitely would recommend. Thanks Dr. Frost!

From my husband: The phone lines are a joke. The staff acts like they don’t want to work; very unprofessional with their kids running in the office. Chatting away like there were no customers around. The people who put the glasses together are inept. I was excited to see Larsen because he’s so well known in town, and I had been going there since 98. However, when I got my glasses, I could not see. It was as if he randomly decided what my prescription was. Plus, the lenses in my glasses were warped and ill-placed. There were gaps between the frames and the lenses. No follow through. It took me 4 weeks to get someone to help me because even though they say they’re open on Saturdays, they weren’t. 3 Saturdays. I had to go somewhere else, to Advanced Eye Care, and pay out of pocket. All I have to say is that after being a customer since 1998, I was extremely disappointed with Larsen and EyeDoctor, and I won’t be seeking their services again.

I agree with the previous review about the staff acting like you are a problem. Dr. Larsen has always been great though.On my last visit, the front desk ladies told me there was a $45 charge for REQUIRED testing not covered by insurance. My cousin warned me they would try to do this, but advised me that she was able to refuse the service on her last visit. I asked during my visit if I could not do this testing and the ladies at the desk told me it was required.I was also told there would be a $145 "contact fitting" charge, which is ridiculous because I don't need anyone to inspect my contacts to make sure they fit. I've been using the same brand for 25 years now.Anyway, the two ladies at the front desk got a defensive tone when I asked about the additional charges (for the record, I was NOT being rude). I was resigned to just pay the charges but they said they would collect payment at the END of my visit. I imagine this was so they could tack on other charges and then surprise me at the end. No thanks.In the end, I walked out of that appointment. Found a different eye doctor who did not force me to do the $45 "REQUIRED" testing. I actually opted in this time because they gave me the CHOICE. Also, eye doctors should get on board with the fact that people can get $15 contact exams online now and quit charging people so much money just to look at a contact and say, "OK it fits fine". It's ridiculous and customers are not made of money, especially in the current economy.Edit: Provider is asking to review my invoice but there was no invoice because I left before the exam began.

Dr. Larsen is an excellent doctor and the staff is great as well. I do know since MyEye Dr took over the staff and Dr. Larsen have no control over prices or the rules the corporation has laid out for them to follow. Dr. Larsen and the staff are knowledgeable and kind so I will continue to be a patient.

Very much love Dr. Larsen, he's great.The reception staff and the techs make you feel unwelcome and like you are an inconvenience. And that's when they aren't being actively rude.I've reached the point where I no longer will see Larsen because I just don't want to deal with the staff any longer. This was my last time.

I called to get a copy of my prescription. They sent it to me with "EXPIRED" written on it. I called back and explained that I needed a clean document. They did the same thing again. I called back, and they refused to send me a clean prescription document, saying that its "policy." Policy eh? Right. I wouldn't mind paying a dollar for the copy, but the prescription is my property, and your prescription is your property.I no longer need need the services of MyEyeDr.--San Angelo.

Dr.Larsen is a great eye doctor , he’s helped plenty of times with visits , and every time he was great.The staff was also great every time i went in there , friendly and nice . 10/10

The experience was absolutely amazing. I typically go for funky glasses and a lot of places will have me gravitate me towards something simple. They completely stuck with getting me my cool glasses and I love them!!! They were so much fun and we got Mother’s Day perfumes! Definitely recommend!
