Sue and Rick (owners) are amazing.
First off, I DON’T FISH but spend way too much time here.
This Bait and Tackle shop is also the unofficial lottery spot in San Angelo.
I often frequent this location to purchase hundreds of dollars in lottery tickets.,. And unlike gas stations, Sue and Rick know how to lotto. Easiest (quickest) way to Lotto in all of Concho.
The place is a local treasure. Amazing beer selection also!
Note - place is ran by locals and is popular amongst locals. Hours (like many places in San Angelo) may vary depending on the owners schedule/availability.

This is my boyfriend and I'm GO TO bait shop when we drive from Big Spring to San Angelo to fish! Always friendly, & have great bait and tackle to choose from. Won't ever choose another place here!!

Will never go back! Cinco de mayo, friday 05 May 2023! Hours on the door state: 7 am to 10 pm! I was looking forward to a good night fishing with live bait, but they were closed with no signs on the door, no notices of closing! Sorry, I had to go elsewhere and will continue to do so.... no respect to close on customers with no notice!

On the way to the lake this is a great place to stop and get the things you might have forgotten. You can get your fishing license, drinks, snacks, ice, live bait and tackle. The owners are very friendly.

Their website today said open till 9:30pm, I went at 4:45pm and they were closed, same deal two days ago. They need to update their website if they are on vacation or whatever, but it’s not cool when you advertise to be open and then a customer shows up and you are closed.

Wonderful folks that work there. Always friendly and helpful. Small store but lots of stuff. Much better then going to the gas station or big chain. Always nice to shop local at a quality place.

Today was the second time we have stopped to get minnows and the are closed. That was at 830 am. Sign on the door and on the internet sows they open at 730 am. So how do they expect people to get bait. Just because its a weekday does not mean anything. I happen to be off and taking the boat out. So off to FIELD AND STREAM TO BUY MINNOWS!
