This literally the worst company ever. DO NOT GO HERE. I wish I could give 0 stars. They are scammers, customer service is impossible to deal with. Cancelling your service is a literal nightmare. They just want to charge you for no reason. THIS HAS BEEN HELL!! Don't go here!!

Sorry place to do business.They say they will call you back and never do. I have called the store over 20 times and they won't even answer there phone.Update......As you see below they respond to the review but still no call back from a real person on the phone. I even emailed that email address below and still nothing.

While the brick and mortar location seems to have representatives who actually want to be there, the Call Center is a whole different issue altogether.I was signed up for a service that I never requesred and wanted no part of. I received no identifying information regarding "my" account and was expected by the retention (they make it obvious their team name is a misnomer) team to provide this. They stated they emailed it to me, I never provided an email. The service is provided through the apartment complex and is a bulk account.I was even sent equipment I never requested after picking up the cable box. While telling me it is policy to request this information, they somehow failed to follow this policy when setting everything up (e.g. My social was never put on file which is required for sign up).Do not use Optimum unless you plan to never have any issues with your service.Edit after Reply: As anyone reading this will see, they are not even trying to help and have most likely set up an automated response. Do not use this company. The employees at the Call Center, the people you have to talk to after setting up service since that is all the brick and mortar locations can do will make for the worst experience and you will not be able to cancel even if you decide to before you even leave the store.So again, do not use Optimum. Sleep on a bed of thorns, it will make for a more comfortable experience.

I really can't figure out why I'm paying 85 bucks for internet that goes out 8 times a day. There has to be better service here. I have never had internet this shoddy before.03/2024- So after 4 years of horrible service I decided to switch to Vexus, which is wonderful! However! It shouldn't take saying "i just want to cancel my service" 6 times to cancel the freaking service! Then i am getting hounded by phone calls from you people multiple times a day! Stop! If you want to retain your customers you should have fixed your horrible internet years ago.

The company itself is a pain to work with. They don't make moving easy. Their internet will work if you move and bring your modem with you. However if it does and you cancel the service tech to come over. They like to go back and charge you for not returning your modem and altice tower, eventhough you updated that you moved and the modem They provided is working. They will then not refund you what they charged which BTW is $500.00 they will put it as a credit on your account instead of returning it to you. The instore location doesn't have business hours on the weekend to add to the inconvenience. Also when leaving they will waste your time multiple times trying to get you to stay. Giving you discounts that only last for 3 months and will raise back to the same high prices they had before. Avoid this company at all cost, there are better less expensive options for better internet here in San angelo now.
