Came in, and they closed in 20 minutes. They said, "Take your time dining in." Food is always great and service stellar. BTW they had someone walk in after closing, and they still served them!!!

They have the best BBQ I have found in San Antonio. It's a little far away from me but the quality of the food is worth it. They have menu options that have a Cajun flair.

If you follow me on here then you know I post honest experiences so let’s begin. The cajun pasta was good and very flavorful. The brisket was mediocre just salt and blk pepper it was cook to perfection but also bland and you don’t get any pickles and onions. As a Louisiana native I know dirty rice and red beans and this was not it, complete failure. Now this could be from batch to batch but the dirty rice and RB were extremely salty (03/17/24 whoever cooked that day needs to hold the salt) I could also tell salt was the only season they used as you can taste the difference between salt and seasonings. The dirty rice is in no way authentic. Overall, I’ll be back to try the fish and chicken.

Nice counter service BBQ. The ribs were good. We weren't a fan of the BBQ sauce, but that is just personal taste. The Mac n cheese and fries were very good. Also had the Cajun Pasta, which was fantastic and a large portion as well. We both had leftovers. Service was very good as well. We did get the beignets but were not a fan at all. They were hollow and crunchy/chewy. Again, personal taste, but not like the ones we've had before.

If someone tells you to go anywhere else in San Antonio for BBQ, know that they don't like you and don't want you to have a good meal. After having 225 Urban Smoke, I'll never make a drive up to Black's again. Can't go wrong with the brisket or turkey. A true hidden gem here in SA.

225° Urban Smoke is a diamond in the rough. I ordered The Big Easy...this sandwich gave me brisket, pulled pork, sausage, cracklins and BBQ sauce. It was amazing! The flavors of the meats can stand on their own, but also complement each other. My ONLY criticism is the bbq sauce...it was light with subtle flavor. I feel it needed more boldness. Then I tried the fries. What a surprise! The fries are seasoned Cajun style...I found the boldness I was looking for. Thank you to the cook and staff for the great lunch.

I got turkey, brisket, and fries for $20.00. Turkey was the best for me, it was pretty dang good and I give it a 8.4/10. Brisket was pretty good, very very tender but lacked the flavor for me so 7.8/10, fries were fries 5/10. I would’ve loved to try the other stuff but I couldn’t.I had called before coming to ask what I could have with my food allergies to eggs, dairy, sesame, peanuts, and tree nuts; and I was told I could have almost everything. When I got there that wasn’t the case. After asking some questions to double check, I had come to find out that I could only have the bbq meets and one side, that being the fries. Unfortunately they put butter in and on nearly everything. It was a little disheartening to learn that and a little frustrating that some people don’t know dairy includes butter. I really appreciate the staff answering my questions for me and being helpful and apologetic!Everything on their menu looks great! I wish I could have them but that’s just life for me.Unfortunately, with being able to have only a couple times on the menu, I won’t be coming back. I can recommend tho to check this place out, I’ve heard and read great things.Dietary restrictions: They don’t really use eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, or sesame. Dairy, specifically butter, is used in almost all their items. Watch out for eggs in the buns. I couldn’t get a definite answer on them.
