I thought they did a good job until water starting leaking thru the ceiling. We used them thru Nations Home Warranty. They replaced both our water heaters. Apparently they did not install the water heater expansion tank correctly. All they needed to do was add a Tee nut and it would have been done correctly. No support cause stress on the copper tubing. to crack and spray into the drywall UPSTAIRS. Since the sensor is on the drip pan it didn't go off. All the drywall will need to be replaced, as well as the expansion tank. The tank alone is $450 out of pocket. Fortunately we caught early enough or it would have destroyed our scraped hardwood floor. They also replace a dishwasher and when I had the faucet replaced I was curious why they didn't connect the air gap. Apparently when they replaced the dishwasher it had a dedicated air gap. So this too was installed incorrectly. I have had a toilet fixed that now makes a lot of noise when flushed. The only other thing they have done is replace a jacuzzi tub motor. We don't use it so I have no idea if it was done right or not. Buyer beware if you aren't up to speed on all things plumbing you may not be getting what you pay for.Service: Water heater installation

They do measure once cut trice.I don't have time to describe a total fiasco they pulled on my property for thousands of dollars.I am looking to do everything all over again.Unprofessional unequipped and don't stand by their "we guarantee" done was done about 4, month ago. Pictures show hom much dirt wasn't packed back in by their contractors and also the pipe with sitting water after their "we guarantee"Waste of money and time.

Website indicates they do drain cleaning, sewer repair, they do not. This is third time to our home in one year, the first time the installed water heater, second time was drain cleaning for water sewer line. Those times plumber arrived in a vehicle marked as Ajax Plumbing, He had the app or device to accept payment. This time plumber arrived in a white, unmarked beat-up van, with nothing to indicate Ajax Plumbing. Equipment was old, problems with snake/auger machine, he had to fix equipment before he even started work. He said our plumbing line was clear and the problem was in the main city line. He gave written receipt with insufficient information for us to provide to city. We called Ajax office, in order to get a detailed summary of work done, we had to pay the bill. Payment was done by phone. Brian was the person I spoke to and he transmitted the summary of work done from a different phone number. When I researched the phone number it is in area code for Virgin Islands. City of Kirby utility department came to our home after Ajax plumber was finished. They checked the line with a camera, found the blockage is in our line, not in City main line. Called Ajax and was than told they do not clean or repair sewer line, we should contacts sewer engineer. I asked about the phone number in Virgin Islands, he said his son is helping and that was his phone number. We will report as fraud. Something has changed at this company and it is not good.Services: Drain cleaning

I called for help when my outdoor faucet broke with the cold spell. I am a senior and live alone. I talked to my son in law and he told me if it was just the faucet he could probably fix it but could not get away from work until the following day. He told me to ask whoever showed up if he thought it was an easy fix so my son in law could do it. Although the man that came seemed very nice he told me that it could be an easy fix or it may turn into a big problem because the pipe was so close to my brick wall and if it was done wrong they would need to break into the wall. Although he did not pressure me to have him fix it I went with what he told me and to save my son in law any headache I told him to go ahead and fix it. I went inside and not more than 10 min he knocked on the door and said it was fixed. He charged me $250. It was the day before Christmas eve so I gifted him a little bag of homemade cookies for coming within an hour . On Christmas day my son in checked the work and told me the faucet could have been purchased at lowes or home depot for $10! He was very upset because he said I was overcharged and he felt the man knew it was an easy fix and could have been nice enough to tell me. It is really sad that older people get taken advantage of. I am on a fixed income and that money could have been put to better use.

We contacted Ajax to install a temporary sink while our kitchen is under construction. They were incredibly friendly and easy to work with, and did a great job. Their quote was also very reasonable.Service: Faucet installation

I had a low pressure issue on my bathroom shower. They went off of what I said I had tested, but did not run their own tests to figure out what was wrong with it. Solution was to change the valve, which required opening up a tiled wall or an external wall. The ramifications were not discussed and I ended up with a hole in the tiled wall in the shower that at least some contractors would not want to fix due to having broken the water tightness of the wall. Additionally, while opening the wall, they managed to break 9 tiles on the bathroom floor as well as chip a few inside the shower pan. More egregious, they did this opening with a rotary saw that filled my bathroom with dust (they did not even asked me to remove toiletries or anything) and used my own bath mat to try to half a** block the gap under the bathroom door. This did not work, and my master bedroom was also covered in dust including my 3 month old baby crib. They said they would cover the repairs to the tiles, but they stopped answering my calls after months of telling me to give them my address so they could mail me a check to cover the cost of fixing the bathroom floor. Horrible company to deal with. Terrible communication and even worse workmanship. I would strongly not recommend them to anyone. I am giving them 2 stars, because changing the valve did fix the water pressure issue.

Kitchen sinks were clogged and would not drain. Tried baking soda and vinegar, it bubbled but water wouldn’t drain. Jimmy from Ajax arrived in the early minutes of their estimated three hour window. He was masked, pleasant, very helpful and showed us the clean-out valve under the sink was seeping. He was careful when the backed-up debris in the pipe was released as he opened the clean-out. Jimmy was courteous and did his job efficiently and well. Very pleased with his Saturday solution to our nasty problem. Thanks, Jimmy!!

Toby Martinez helped me with a free estimate and even beat the quotes of 3 other plumbers. I ultimately chose Toby with Ajax and I am very happy with my decision. He told me everything I needed to know about the installation and what he would do to make sure it was done right. He was quick with the install and had everything up and running in no time! I highly recommend Toby with Ajax and will be letting all my friends and family know about the great service that was provided to me.Service: Water heater installation

I submitted a request for repairs and was contacted within 45 minutes. They were able to send the plumbers out within a couple hours. Plumbers were courteous and gave me what the cost of services would be without a pressure sale. Agreed to have services done...it only took them an hour and I'm happy with the work they did. Would use them again for plumbing needs.Services: Faucet installation

Well, the job got done! It took weeks longer than it was supposed to due to City interrupting the job midway; requiring Permits that had not been prearranged and then the time consuming process of getting that permit and then having final plumber's work inspected by the city. What a big headache throughout. Ultimately, job did get finished by Jimmie and he was hardworking, professional, and the kept me informed. They were nice people to work with and i might hire again. I do recommend their services.

Came in, provided quote, and completed the entire removal and reinstallation of our water heater in 4 hours. Very difficult installation and not surprisingly some damage occurred but was immediately identified with a handyman arranged to repair without me having to bring it up. Very much appreciated that professionalism!

The guy from Ajax showed up and only work for 20 min and said he couldn't unclog the washout. He said the plumbing is broken and never suggested to put hydro jets in the plumbing to push everything out. So I was the one to bring it up and said he was going back to the shop to get it and charge me 150.00 for just showing up to put a snake and never come back nor accepted any of my calls back. TERRIBLE service. I will not recommend Ajax to no one.
