I have traded with AA of SA for the last 2 years. Over that time I have purchased pellets, airgun accessories, an air tank, and a fully accessorized air rifle. I have found Rudy and his staff to be professional and knowledgeable on the products he represents in his store. His inventory is plentiful with a broad range of options. I was in the market for a big bore airgun and had the gun, scope, and rings in my wishlist of an online retailer. After speaking with Rudy i decided to make my purchase from a brick & mortar retailer instead. Rudy guided me through the decision; I adjusted my purchase decision and ended up with a much better combination of gun/accessories.Rudy and Alamo Airguns will always get my business and first chance to earn my business!Keep up the good work!Larry E

I gave Alamo Airguns a $3,300 order to be shipped to Nebraska. I sent a cashier’s check overnight in order to qualify for their 5% cash discount program they offered me when I walked in the store. I called and asked if I could pick up the order since I could be in San Antonio in the coming week, and they said; “No problem”. They changed their mind a few days later and said the order had to be shipped out of state to receive the 5% cash discount. They had my money and I had already made the trip to San Antonio based on what THEY told me. I had to drive to their store across town and pick up a check that they said would be mailed 3 days before. It wasn’t mailed. I got my money back, but I wasted a trip from 800 miles away! Then they changed their minds again and said the cash discount now only applies to instore pick up, and was only available to “help local customers”. I am a local customer, have been for two years. Poor communication and policy making on the fly, or just plain lazy. You decide.I reordered a week later to be shipped to Nebraska, and they sent the wrong air tank. They said I ordered the wrong tank, but their website didn't even have air tanks on it when I first called! I ordered a 97 CF Air Venturi tank, but they sent a smaller 75 CF Omega tank (wasn’t on the web site as a choice) and charged me $50 more. Instead of calling me they threw 3 tins of pellets in the gun case and called the over charge of $50 good. It was a smaller size tank! The cans of pellet rubbed up against the FX M3 .35 cal. in shipment and damaged the finish on the receiver and trigger guard of the gun. Seriously, they threw 5 tins of .35 caliber pellets (8 pounds) into the gun case loose for shipment without any padding or protection. I tried to call them, no response. I tried texting, no response. I emailed them, no response. Customer service is almost nonexistent and they certainly don’t know how to pack something for shipment, more to come on that below.I refused delivery of the wrong tank when it arrived. UPS retuned the package on 4/5/22. Alamo Airguns tried to blame me for shipping damage! I never opened or even touched the package! It turns out they did not “double box” the tank when THEY shipped it. They just threw a shipping label on the single walled box and called it good. Anything that weighs 18 pounds MUST be double boxed, its common sense! Currently, extremely poor shipping practices, they simply don’t know any better.Communication with this store has been poor to nonexistent. I've sent many emails, left messages, and texts with little or no response. The responses I did get were confusing and didn’t answer my questions. I asked gun and tank questions that went unanswered. Simply unacceptable. I was ready and willing to help these guys, but you can’t help people who won’t communicate.Avoid this company for now for out of town shipping. They are simply are not experienced enough yet with acceptable business practices, shipping preparation, or proper customer service. Sorry, that’s how I feel after this transaction with Alamo Airguns.

I had some upgrade work done on an FX air rifle, and I'll tell you, these guys are truly the premier source for all your higher end PCP air rifle needs in Texas. They have an incredible selection of rifles, barrels, tanks, ammo, scopes, targets, accessories, compressors and more. I wish I found Alamo Airguns of San Antonio years ago, but boy, I can't recommend this store highly enough. Even if you aren't there to buy a rifle, they'll treat you right. Thank you Scott, Vincent, and Rudy!

The owner of this business is clearly a newbie and has little business sense. I left several messages on his voice mail and he never replied. I visited the business and left a message with an employee for the owner to call me and he never did. Following is a letter that I wrote him describing my experience with his establishment. He never replied to my letter. As I have been unable to contact you through telephone calls and an email through your website I have elected to correspond in writing to express my dissatisfaction with the Alamo Airguns Small Compressor with quick connect ($599.99). It was purchased along with a Benjamin Cayden air rifle, ($599.99) a Sniper VT 4-l6X44MFFP scope ($234.99) and UTG 30mm Medium Profile rings ($23.99) on 19 November 2021. I also left an old Benjamin pump air rifle to be repaired. The compressor failed on the second charging of the rifle. Using the manual supplied with the compressor, I could not get it to work. I went to the compressor web site where the video started with a male and female technician bowing in greeting which was followed up by a close up depiction of the complete disassembly of the device with no audio. There was nothing that suggested how to fix a nonfunctioning compressor.I made several calls to your voice mail and sent an email through your website support portal and have had no response. I came to San Antonio on 3 December and talked to an employee who explained you do not exchange functional products for failed products. He stated that you take the compressor and return it to the company for repairs and do not provide a loaner to your customer for the time period that the compressor is at the factory. I explained that that wouldn't work and that I needed a refund or maybe an exchange for air bottles to charge my rifle. He stated that it wasn't company policy to provide refunds, exchanges, or loaners.I have a few comments. First, I was not provided a copy of your company policy addressing these issues. Second during our pleasant visit, while your were putting the scope on my rifle, you mentioned that you were pretty much doing all the work keeping your business open including maintaining your website. When I mentioned that your website did not show products, just accessories, you said you were still working on it. I suppose that is why you did not see my email through your website portal complaining about my bad experience with the compressor. You will recall that I left a Benjamin pump air rifle for repair. You stated that the labor charge would be $90.00 plus parts that you would have to find on EBay. I can assume that, as you are obviously so busy, you have not had a chance to begin the repairs on the rifle.Second, as yours is a new company and you are apparently learning how to run a business on the fly, I'd like to give you some friendly advice as I have had experience running a business for 38 years. Sometimes it's best to learn by experience and take a temporary loss in order for a company to continue to grow.I think it would in your best interest to refund me the cost of the air compressor and return my Benjamin pump rifle and we happily go our separate ways. I have searched your website and noticed that you have no reviews. I have also searched Amazon and other sites and have discovered that I can obtain the same products you sold me at very considerable discounts: $516.00 at Amazon for the Benjamin Cayden rifle, $159.00 at Amazon for the Sniper VT 4-16 scope, and $379.00 at Amazon for the Tuxing compressor. Interestingly, If one purchases merchandise from Amazon and is defective and want to return it for any reason, Amazon honors the request with a postage paid UPS return label.Your value to your customers is your ability to advise them of what products you have to meet their needs in the pleasant atmosphere of your store. As you provide your products at a cost higher than can be obtained on line, you need to extend yourself and "go the extra mile" so your customers will feel they are getting value for their money.
