Dr. Kirby is the best! He also is very careful who he allows into his practice! So everyone there is very knowledgeable not only the other doctors! Everyone is very capable and obviously enjoy helping people with their furry family members! They’re an extend family and you would be wise to entrust your furry family members with them!

Dr. is great. The staff is nice, but when they put you on hold for 15 to 20 min, it gets ridiculous!

Dr Kirby is the best Veterinarian in San Antonio! We’re so lucky to have him here. He truly loves his animals and takes care of them as if each is his very own. I am positive that he has saved our furbaby’s life more than once. We love him! ???

We highly recommend Alamo Heights Pet Clinic! This is the best Veterinary Clinic, ever! The doctor who takes care of your dog keeps you informed on any treatment, results, the same day, personally! Every time we take the puppies, the service is 5 Star. The Office Staff are informed and love their jobs. Love it!

I cannot remember if posted a review so I am making sure I do. Dr. Kirby is one of the best vets I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. The back is a bit chaotic with dogs on the ground, in surgery and in cages, but Dr. Kirby knows what he is doing. He works extremely hard and is so compassionate and extremely intelligent. He takes time to speak to you about your pet even if he had another urgent matter. He tries his hardest to fill you in when he can even after hours. My doggy may he RIP had some type of tumor inside his nose that no other vet would investigate without putting him under who refused because he was a senior and it was dangerous. Dr. Kirby was the only one who did it with alternatives with my baby awake so he was not in danger. It is very hard to find good caring vets in Texas, but I will always highly recommend Dr. Kirby. He is a beautiful soul inside and out and it makes me tear up to know that good people like him still exist. He is an Angel. I owe him for trying to help my first love. Vets do not get the recognition they deserve.

This clinic has the worst staff ever! There is absolutely no customer service skills here what so ever.First off, the front receptionist owes here delivery driver an apology. Apparently, she order door dash and when the driver comes in to confirm his drop, she yells at him inside a fairly quiet office, "I'm missing my drink!" The driver quickly apologizes and says there isn't one listed nor did they give him one at the restaurant. She then ignores him. After a few moments, she finally says. "Okay, whatever, that's fine." The AWKWARD SILENCE in the office gave me so much second hand embarrassment for the driver and made the atmosphere of the room completely uncomfortable. She takes the food to the bag where it sounded like she threw it. She then comes back, clearly upset. Her eyes were swelling and her voice sounded broken. She barely acknowledged me. Then she kept asking me the same question. I basically had to wait for her to calm down before she could resume over an incident that may as well be considered just spilled milk. When I finally go back to pick my pup up, this same women again ignores me because she can't fine HER pen. Mind you this is after she not only ignores the yellow bucket full of pens in front of her and the other few pens she picked up and tossed because they weren't her pens. After a few minutes of just standing in front of her, she finally asks if I've been helped. I have no idea what is wrong with this lady but this is two separate incidents of complete and utter disregard of treatment of patrons. I will not be bringing my business back to this clinic. I encourage others to look for a more pleasant staff. Because, if this is how the staff treats not only their guests but delivery drivers, I hate to see how they are treating their patients. After seeing this lady be so rude to her door dasher and myself I cannot in good conscious recommend this clinic.

It's nice to be contacted by the vet while my sick cat is there everyday. I liked how I could get a same day appt, as in they said I could immediately bring him in. I liked how detailed they were about everything and answered my questions. I will always bring my cats here from now on ?I was weary about going because heard of the not so nice front desk people but everyone seemed efficient and got the job done. Nobody was rude or seemed unprofessional but maybe greet or have sign on desk saying Please be seated; it was my first time there, and nobody acknowledged me like a smile or hello or to say be seated. I understand why some people would say they're rude. No one was. Just maybe not clear on what the process of checking in was because no one said anything to me.

Great people here. The front office, the doctors, the groomers - even the customers are nice! They care a lot and the prices are good. The lines can get a bit long, especially in the morning, but that's expected for a place this awesome.

We have been with Dr. Kirby & staff for years. We have 4 fur babies. As close to holistic as you can get for vets. There is a reason that we drive 2 hrs to come here. We know ?% that our babies are in the best hands. You can definitely tell everyone here has the love for pets. Words can't express the love for everyone that is here. They all go above and beyond for all the babies that come here.
