When I chose this location a little over a year ago it had some of the better reviews of all the locations.I’ve been doing business with Banfield for over 6 years and this location has ruined it for me. Every time I come there’s always something new. I’m either told misinformation or they’re wanting to charge you for every little thing.I had my dog vaccinated for rabies elsewhere. I brought them the documentation to which they told me they would not see her if the shot was not up to date. To my surprise they ended up giving her their own shot of rabies and did not make me aware of this. The front desk receptionist gives out misinformation and doesn’t know how to do his job properly. He makes assumptions instead of listening to the customer.I’m only still coming to this location because my dog is enrolled in their useless plan. After almost 7 years of business with banfield I will be taking my business elsewhere.Better off enrolling your dogs in a healthcare plan for them than doing business at this location and with banfield. It’s a shame.

During two of the most difficult moments our family has faced, we've turned to Banfield Pet Clinic to help us say goodbye to our 13 and 14-year-old pets. Each time, the staff there displayed incredible sensitivity and compassion, not just towards our animals but also towards us as a grieving family. The professionals at the clinic took us through the end-of-life process with great care, allowing us to understand what was happening every step of the way. We never felt rushed, which allowed us to focus on our farewells.Besides the emotional support, we were pleasantly surprised by the affordability of their services, which is one less worry at a time like this.Though it's always painful to part ways with a cherished family member, Banfield Pet Clinic offered the kind of supportive and understanding environment that helps ease the distress. For those unfortunate moments when you have to say goodbye, I can't recommend their services highly enough.

DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!I have been taking my dogs here for a few years now BUT TODAY, my 4 year old healthy, sweet, happy go lucky american bully is fighting for his life. What was supposed to be a wellness visit turned into a hospital stay at a different vet. 10 minutes into picking my dog up, he was panting with what sounded like a dry cough, as we walked into the house he started peeing along with peeing blood, he threw up, his tongue was turning purple, had a 108 fever, and needed immediate assistance. luckily we got him to the ER vet in time. He needed to be sedated and intubated. So far he can not be released because his oxygen levels will not stabilize. We called banfield off of 1604 and blanco to ask them what was given to him and they state nothing he hasn’t had before. which is clearly not the case since he needed to be admitted to the hospital. Dr. Harlin was the doctor that was conducting his wellness. save yourself, dog, and money and find another vet. I will keep this updated with his progress.

We have the Banfield wellness plan which includes vet visits and called to this location to make an appointment because our dog was having trouble walking. Was told to call another pet hospital because they are more for prevantive care. I would think a vet would be able to at least see our dog and give us a diagnosis or recommendation.

The hours posted are 8-6 for a saturday. We went at 5:30 on July 8 for a quick check up and potential referral and the door was locked shut. We got back into our car and watched the staff leave at 5:40.If they’re going to advertise to be open certain hours, they should probably stick to them.

This year has been a really tough one on our family, but it has been made a lot better by the wonderful technicians, front desk and amazing, wonderful Vets that work there, especially Dr. Stromberg. She not only has been so kind but compassionate, listening to our worries about our cats and the financial needs it is to take care of them, and always has offered amazing solutions to find the best path forward.Today, for example. I don’t have the easiest kitty when he goes to the Vet, and it’s probably not helped with my own anxiety after loosing his brother a few months ago due to a sudden emergency. Not only did the staff take him back with smiles, a hour or so in, Dr. Stromberg called to let us know everything about his diagnosis. She remembered us, since when my other baby was very sick so suddenly, she had taken him in and tried everything she could possibly think of in her power to take care of him and sent him home comfortable and out of pain for his last few hours with us. In this call, she explained everything in detail, then listed everything she though would be best to take care of this issue. We spoke with her about our concerns, and we all together created a plan of action that helped our kitty, but also gave us time to get everything in order for work to be done in the future. They then continued treatment and recently called me once again just to update me on how he was doing, and what to expect from him. I really, really appreciate the staff being down to earth and going the extra mile to take care of our baby while making us pet parents feel more comfortable, especially in a critical healing time. Be patient with them as well, they have so many animals they care for every day and they are literally trying their damn hardest to take care of a part of your family.Thank you for what you do.

This vet is horrible just like all the other vets in the area. At this point what can I really expect. They act to love animals but do things that appose animals needs & well being. When you make an appointment, it isn’t for that time as you are only dropping your dog off. You can’t go to the back with your pet and your dog is waiting hours to be seen. Mind you waiting hours where they are filled with anxiety and pressure because unfamiliar territory & constantly hearing or being around random dogs. In no sense would this help a dog or it’s situation. It’s hard to get ahold of the main vets that see your animals. The communication goes a lot through the front desk staff that don’t seem to be knowledgeable about animals either.I purchased heart worm medication online and have been waiting for a doctors approval for 6 days now. How hard is it to approve medicine? The store can’t be that busy? And even if it is, Banfield needs to figure out another routine. The horrible one they have with all those dogs in there obviously isn’t working. Then again, vets do not care for pets and only care about cash.If the medicine doesn’t get approved tomorrow, I am asking for a refund and taking my services elsewhere. These vets act like they are the only one in town. Please, there are 3 down the street.

This Banfield has the worst service I’ve ever dealt with in the veterinary field. They take on average 20 mins to bring out a prescription from the back, make people wait 30+ mins for their dogs to come out from the back and are just generally SLOW. There is always issues filling our dogs prescription and the reasons each time are different. I highly recommend going to the Banfield on San Pedro. Their service is great.

We’re getting there with this place. They’ve gotten to a place where they can cut my dogs nails, which is nice. Staff is great. It is very busy, so expect a hold if you call. But everyone is kind and helpful.

I called ahead and was told that there was an over the counter flea treatment that would be available for $22 per dose. They said that they would have to weigh the dogs to let me purchase it and that I had to bring them with me. I offered to bring their shot record since they were not patients there, and they decided. We are retired, and it's a bit more difficult for us to bring them in, but we compiled. Once we arrived and waited our turn, we were told that they had to be seen by the vet, and there were no appointments available today. So very sorry.Yes, very sorry, services!

Do you like to visit a vet that is clearly short-staffed and in over their heads? Then this is the vet for you, featuring urine and vomit on the floors that will not be cleaned (or even noticed) because of how busy they are. This also is the first vet I have ever experienced where you cannot actually go back with your pet for basic checkups (perhaps this is normal and my previous 4 vets in my lifetime have been different) - our paperwork had "concerns to be discussed with a vet" even though we never saw anyone beyond the front desk workers through the whole appointment. It is tough to ask the vets questions when they refuse to see you, unless you want to wait 20 minutes for a front desk worker to go back and ask questions on your behalf. Terrible experience overall, won't return again unless it is an absolute emergency with no other options.

Very expensive for as little as they do. $300 to tell us our dog has diarrhea. We knew that.

Don't get the "Insurance". I have tried to cancel the service only to find out it is not a monthly service, but a 1 year contract where if I cancel I have to pay out the remaining payments right now...but not use the service? The legal side of it is all in place but its just not treating a customer in the right way and I feel scammed.
