Bad customer service and bad attitude with the girls in the front desk. We booked a check up appointment for our cat to get spayed, and the vet was saying that it’ll be better for us to go to Mexico because it’s cheaper which I find it super inappropriate and unprofessional to say.

Service is terrible. The desk clerk was condescending after I made an appointment online and expected the services I believed I had scheduled. I was informed when I showed up that the online system will allow you to book services that aren't necessarily possible. I was somehow supposed to know then and told "well, you should really just call" when I explained I tried but no one answered and when I tried again later it was after hours, I was told "well, the website just really isn't that good" somehow implying I was getting better service in person... I guess... I mean, I wasn't, but I guess that was his opinion of himself.I did meet with the vet and was told my dog needed blood work twice before a teeth cleaning (ok fine seems reasonable, I guess, I'm not a doctor) so there would need to be a second visit for the actual cleaning, but I was talked into what I thought was pet insurance but turns out it's an overpriced discount plan. It doesn't cover much of anything, and the costs were still pretty high even with their lovely auto renewing plan. I found we never used it, and it wasn't worth keeping. I called and tried to cancel, and I thought it was all good until I got a letter threatening collections for unpaid payments. I hadn't agreed on that call to finish the contract year (our 2nd year of the plan) and was told it'd be prorated. Called again and spoke with another annoying dude who said "Um, well" upwards of 25 times (I was bored and started counting). I ended up just paying off the rest of the year to be rid of them. Wouldn't recommend getting any of their "plans" and would definitely go to the Bandera location if you have to use Banfield at all.

Did not get to speak with anyone in person due to long lines. However, was able to call the next day and speak with someone over the phone. All my needs were addressed and will start taking our ne puppies there next month

There were the adopt a pet people Pause ...these two ladies about as old as Rome itself standing in the middle of the walking areas talking at decibel level 30000 and couldn't get around them very cluttered and hot plus several foor employees not one greeted me not one asked me if I needed assistance store manager was walking around with a bag of dogfood I selfhelped and shopping for a 3rd party gig vendor was on a time crunch. No body smiled the cashier was snarkey I needed a tax exempt number a n d she snapped I don't know as I fumbled through the app she gasped and stated it's probably on the receipt just go back a few pages and I went back a few pages and it was there was by the barcode so it wasn't really good experience so I'm going to give it three stars they need to have somebody come in there and redo some Smiles some enthusiasm some empathy you know you're working in a pet store yeah

I have been taking my fur baby to Banfield since he was a puppy, and now he is a healthy, active senoir chihuahua at 12 years! Banfield has always been his veterinarian place for vaccines and dental care. I would absolutely recommend!

I just want to say how thankful I am for the staff the front desk associate Lyn is always very nice. Also Dr Julia Mueller is always so nice and explains everything so well, We cancelled our original appointment and waited 2 weeks just so we could make sure my sweet Lulu was able to see the same doctor. My baby is super scared to go to the vet and I know that Dr Mueller does her best to make her visit as good as it can be!! Just want to make sure Dr Mueller gets the recognition she deserves!

Always there when needed, and very cordial. It's a quick in and out and my dog had never once dreaded a visit. He looks forward to coming in every time without being promoted by any reward mechanism. Will continue my patronage and recommend others to do the same.

Close to 12 years ago. My family and I encountered a pitbull puppy abounded in a parking lot of a superstore. Hyper and thirsty, we took her to this hospital. We found out that she wasn't chipped or cared for. We posted her pic in the hope that someone would claim her. We decided to foster her in the meantime, forward 11 years later, she was part of a family, and the staff of Banfield pet hospital treat her as such. A family member. The care and support we find within the hospital through 11 plus years is superb. Rosie, the pink nose pitbull will live forever in our hearts.

Do NOT join the plan at Banfield! You will still have to pay even if your pet dies. We paid our monthly plan fees consistently and also all the charges at any visit she had. She was pretty healthy up until the end, so we were not in very often. They say you can cancel your plan at any time, but we were charged more than 250 dollars to cancel our account the day after we had to say goodbye to our dog (and had all ready paid all the fees for that).Additionally, the doctor changes frequently at the clinic, so no one knows you or your pet. It’s always someone different.When our dog was very sick (dying), we could still only “drop her off” for an appt, and received the hard news about her by phone.The plan ropes you into payments, you still pay plenty at each visit, the service is ok at best and we won’t be back.

Love Banfield. I would never take my animals to any other pet hospital. Staff is very friendly and seems to genuinely care about you and your animals!
