I am writing this review in response to an incident that happened and was falsely reported by another customer recently. Dillon was very professional and extremely patient with the man that was causing problems at the kid's fishing event. I hope that one person's supposed negative experience does not reflect poorly on a staff that went above and beyond to handle the situation appropriately. You can't make everyone happy.

Bass Pro Shops in San Antonio is an exceptional store for outdoor enthusiasts. The shopping experience is unique thanks to its impressive themed decoration and cozy atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to help with precise recommendations. They offer a wide variety of high quality products at competitive prices, ideal for fishing, hunting and camping. Furthermore, their commitment to conservation and the community is admirable. Without a doubt, a must-see for any adventurer. Totally recommended!

I just wanted to express my disappointment and concern regarding a deeply unpleasant experience my family and I had today at a Kids Fishing Event at Bass Pro Shop, San Antonio, TX. What was meant to be a fun and memorable day for my children quickly turned into an embarrassing, disrespectful, and ultimately threatening situation due to the behavior of one of their employees, Dillon. A photo of this employee is attached for reference.
When my 9-year-old daughter had her turn at fishing, Dillon reeled in the fish for her, denying her the opportunity to do it herself. Since we were required to wait in line again for another turn, I decided to go into the store and purchase a few small fishing supplies so that my 9-year-old and 4-year-old could continue to fish while we waited. By the time we returned and it was my daughter’s turn again, the event would have ended. I set up a simple fishing line with a bobber and bait for my 4-year-old, and while casting for her, Dillon informed me that I could not do that.
I calmly explained that we had already signed a waiver and were only using our own supplies because of the long wait time. When I asked to speak with a manager, Dillon became visibly upset and aggressive. He repeatedly told me I had to leave and began approaching me in an intimidating manner, closing the distance between us to the point where I had to continually back up. I remained calm and repeatedly asked him to stop approaching me, telling him that I felt threatened, yet he continued his aggressive behavior.
What was even more disturbing was that after this confrontation, Dillon then approached my wife, who was sitting with our 7-day-old newborn and our 4-year-old, completely unaware of what had just happened. He aggressively demanded that she get up and leave, further escalating the situation. My wife suffers from postpartum anxiety, and this incident caused her severe distress.
This entire exchange played out in front of multiple attendees, all of whom had their eyes on us as Dillon loudly berated my family. We were not causing any disruption, nor were we given any reasonable explanation for why we could not allow our children to fish with our own legally purchased equipment during the event. Instead, we were met with hostility, humiliation, and outright aggression from a member of the staff.
I expect Bass Pro Shops to take this matter seriously and address the unacceptable behavior of this employee. No customer—especially a family with small children—should be treated this way, and no employee should be allowed to intimidate and threaten customers without consequence.

White bald guy at the sunglasses section (i believe his name was alex) was so rude completely ignored my question. He looked dead into my eyes and continued his conversation with a lady lol.

Going to Bass Pro Shops is like going to an impressive museum in every aspect, you can find everything for outdoor sports, I love camping and I find everything there! The clothes there are also perfect for everything, cold, heat, against water, in fact for everything. I highly recommend. It is always a mandatory stop, adding to the beauty that is inside. I placed an online order for collection on Friday, no update on the order as of Tuesday. Called the store and spoke to someone who clearly hates their job. All I was told was that I'll get an email when the order has been picked and it's ready for collection. I asked if there is any idea of how long it would take to pick the order from the shelf, and again I got a very terse reply saying NO, you'll get an email when it's ready. Every other store I've ever chosen to do a online pickup order with has always kept me updated as to the order status, and generally the order is ready to collect before I am. I'll go with another vendor next time, as I'm sure they'll appreciate the business.

Every time I come here I sit and just enjoy looking at the fish in the big fish tank and watch the entire surroundings of nature. Loved the wide selection of men's clothing. Picked a couple of redhead brand shirts, great for the price. Could spend all day here.

Exceptional Service at Bass Pro Shop!
I had an awesome experience at Bass Pro Shop, all thanks to Orlando and Manny! I recently purchased a Yeti cooler for my annual family Easter getaway. The cooler had to be shipped from another store, but when it arrived, it wasn’t quite up to par—it had a bit of damage. Orlando and Manny didn’t hesitate to step in and make things right. They both went above and beyond, handling the situation with professionalism and a smile. Their excellent customer service made the entire process smooth and stress-free. Thanks to them, I’m all set for our trip! Shoutout to Orlando and Manny for their outstanding service. I’ll definitely be back!
