Year ago I got a brand new battery for my VW Atlas. The battery included a 3 year warranty. I was very happy with the warranty. Sadly, my car was having problem staring the engine today, so I went to a one of the BatteryPlus location to inspect the battery. He said that the battery was low in power, he wasn't sure wether the battery or my car has a problem. He claim that in order to use my warranty the battery must be fully charge in order to do the testing. Apparently, the testing takes about 24 hours. I went to one of the local dealers, service department inspect the battery, and they found that the battery had problem not my car.The testing took only 1 hours. Today, I had to pay 450 dollars for service and new battery. I am very upset with BatteryPlus because they claim to have a excellent warranty, but their customers can't use it. In my opinion BatteryPlus warranty is a scam.

Very honest and great folks at this location. I’ve bought 3 deep cycle AGM batteries from them. I had the first one go bad recently that I bought in 2021. Since that time the manufacturer changed their warranty period (from 5 years to 4 years) making it shorter. Unknowingly the employees said I was out of warranty. I left to think about it as I the battery started the vehicle still. Soon after I got a call from them saying the original warranty still had a years time left and they had my new battery waiting for me!!! They could have just let it go without saying anything but they didn’t… Very much appreciated

Great place to buy your motorcycle battery. Duracell batteries made by East Penn. The only place that has a warranty that is 24 months. You'll be luck to get 6 months anyplace else. Great Battery and easy online purchase and then pickup in store.

My experience was with one (22yo?) man staff who was not trained in excellent customer service. Who wasn't trying to help me find the best deal to meet my needs. Just tried to upsell. I had to find and buy what I needed on line, In the store! And pick up 5ft away. And I was the only one in the store. Might not be a reflection on the company...but was not at a level
to keep a customer.

The key fob for my beloved 2012 Nissan Frontier finally wore out and needed replacing. I chose to buy a new one at Batteries Plus rather than going to a dealer. Having bought an extra key fob from a Toyota dealership for my wife's new Toyota, I figured at least $300 or more.
Instead, I chose to check with Batteries Plus. The dealership closest to my home did not have the key fob for my Frontier but referred me to the BP on 1604 near Redland Road, which had one. The manager assigned a younger employee to install it for experience, but after about 20 minutes, he gave up. The manager took my keys and the fob; it was ready in less than two minutes. Note: programming a key fob to a specific vehicle is not easy at looks.
I could complain about the length of time I had to stand and wait for the trainee, but at a major dealership, I'm sure the wait would have been at least an hour or more. (That’s why they give you all the free coffee!)
And the cost? With a $10 coupon given to me by the first Batteries Plus dealership, my total bill was less than $100, and at least 60% less than a car dealership. Batteries Plus was a good choice.

For some odd reason, this location, or Assistant Manager Henry, refused to sell me a $30 key fob without purchasing their $80 programing and key cutting fee.
I told Henry I didn't need programming nor key cutting.
Henry suggested I could go online to Amazon and purchase a key fob as he could not sell me a fob without the added programming fees.
I told Henry I was well aware that I could purchase a fob online but seeing that my local Batteries Plus sells them in stock, I thought I could just drop in and purchase.
I didn't think I needed to explain in great detail my situation, but Chevrolet has a recall for my generation of Camaros where the switch key on the key fob should not be used therefore it would have been a waste of money to pay for key cutting from Henry. Also, some of us don't need a key fob to be programmed and may just need a refreshed fob to replace the shell. But Henry said what he said and I still found it strange.
I told Henry never mind and walked out of the store. I got into my vehicle and thought, why don't I try another location 15 minutes away and see if they give me the same spill. If so, Henry was right. If not, I wonder what the difference may be.
Sure enough, the next location sold me the key fob with no push back or hesitation as I received from Henry's location.
I took my item and receipt in-hand of my newly purchased fob and went back to Henry's store to solve my curiosity.
I met Henry at the key station's counter as before and asked, "Henry, is there a reason you could not sell me the key fob earlier?"
Henry replied, "we cannot sell you a key fob without programming and key cutting."
I responded, "what is your company's policy for not selling key fobs only?"
Henry: "That's what my manager told me."
Me: "But that's not a policy. That's what your manager told you. So is that specific to this location, because I went to another location and purchased a fob with no issues?"
Henry: "I just told you, my manager told me the policy. He's worked here for over 10 years. You can call and speak to him if you want."
Henry attempted to walk to the back office to, I assume, get his manager's phone number for me, but I stopped him.
Me: "No, I don't need his number. Henry, aren't you a manager?"
Henry: "The assistant manager."
Me: "Well, still a manager, no?"
Henry: "Yes."
Me: "Ok. So, why don't you have access to said policy as a manager?"
Henry paused before insisting I was challenging him. I told him a policy is something employees would have access to not something someone said, especially in a large business chain such as Batteries Plus. That could cause a huge lap of misinterpretation across the organization between customers and between employee standards. Henry insisted on giving me his manager's contact, again. Again, I declined and told him that wouldn't be necessary.
I didn't come back to Henry's store to be confrontational, but I was genuinely curious as to the inconsistency with point of sales.
