Don’t let the unassuming exterior fool you! This is an incredible piercing shop. It’s incredibly clean and there are so many jewelry options! I got my daith piercing done by Derek a couple weeks ago, and not only was it the most affordable and least painful piercing I’ve ever had, it has also been the easiest healing process! He took the time to really make sure that the placement was perfect, and I truly believe that Derek’s patience and passion for his art is the key to the best healing process. He’s super talented, and I would 100% come back to him!

Derek was really awesome! i got both my nostrils pierced and he made sure i was happy with the placement before i went through with it. he made sure the area was very clean and sanitized beforehand and was really funny. he’s very kind and informative, making it super easy to trust him.

Got my septum pierced with Derek and my partner got both of her nostrils pierced, and it was such an easy visit! Derek made sure that we were comfortable and talked us through the entire process. It was my first time, so I was a little anxious, but he made sure I understood everything before going through it. Told some great jokes to calm the nerves too. Lots of clear after care instructions, and gave us a pamphlet to take home. Amazing pricing and totally fair. Jess was also really nice. She made our appointment and showed us all of the different options and let us know the prices up front so there was no surprises later. 10/10 experience!

Derek did my piercings and he was amazing — professional, friendly, and made the whole experience great. Five stars for piercings, no question.
Unfortunately, every interaction I’ve had with tattoo artist Miles has been unpleasant. He acts like he doesn’t want to be there or do tattoos at all, and that attitude really brings down the experience. If you don’t want to tattoo, don’t.
Buddha Box is a great place for piercings, but dealing with that negative attitude on the tattoo side makes me not want to go back for anything else.

I got an ear piercing with Alessandra, and she was incredible! She’s skilled, personable, patient, and communicative. She took time to consult with me about all of the details of my piercing, and empowered me to speak up when I wanted to play around with piercing placement.
The piercing itself (earlobe) was quick, easy, and with minimal pain, and the entire process was very hygienic. She’s got great bedside manner and I felt at ease throughout the process.
Alessandra is an excellent piercer and I’d recommend her to anyone! But especially to those who tend to be people pleasers or those who have trouble speaking up about what they do or don’t want. She makes it clear that she’s your champion in the studio, and that she wants you to walk away with something you’re happy with.

I got my first piercing (septum) here about a week ago and my piercer Xene was really awesome! They were really great at explaining the aftercare process and how to take care of my piercing. I didn’t at all feel intimidated as a young person with no tats or piercings and so far everything has healed nicely!

Took my daughter to get a nose piercing. This was her second time getting it pierced because her first time was done by a different studio and it didn't heal well. I researched studios and decided to take her to Buddha Box. Xene was her piercer. Xene was thorough and explained the best placement and all of the aftercare. Regarding the actual piercing, my daughter said it didn't hurt and she absolutely loved it. If you want a piercing, call Xene at Buddha Box. You'll be happy you did. The jewelery selection was great too.

derek is literally the best piercer in san antonio. he’s amazing at his craft and extremely friendly and informative. he’s done a lot of my piercings over the last 5 ish years and i will always come back! he did my faith piercing at a 12g today and i was freaking terrified but it was a breeze thanks to his skill and it looks amazing!! <3

Just went in to get my snakebites redone after letting them heal for a couple of years after another piercer messed them up. Derek was GREAT. The pain was minimal, I have no bleeding and the soreness is minimal as well. Everyone there was also so friendly and kind, I can not stress enough how much I trust Buddah Box with this. Derek was was patient and gentle and even was super sweet to my son who came along with me. I’ve always trusted Derek and I’m glad I did! Please come here and book with anyone available, they’re all great! 10/10!!!! ♥️

Amazing piercer, quick in and out with little pain. Most definitely going back for more! Great jewelry selection and accessories, awesome vibe, cool chicas with master skills. Polite, not pushy or stuck up like some places and reasonable rates too. Thanks for a great experience peeps.

I had my first piercings in 11 years! I had Xene as my piercer, sweet lady! Super nice! super helpful! And my piercings came out wonderful! I was a little hesitant due to it being 11 years since my last one, but it was actually not that bad. It was quick and easy. If I have to go back, it would be Xene I would go to.
