Zero rating. Rented a car over two months in advance and your car failed and now you want to charge me for the tow??? To the attorneys at Budget, I am in receipt of your notice that you are charging me for a tow of your vehicle that failed while on vacation. First of all, I never requested an electric vehicle when I Booked the reservation. When we were finally helped at your counter (long lines) we were told that your company was short on vehicles so we were asked if we would try an electric vehicle. Never having used an electric vehicle before I expressed my concerns about charging stations for a Toyota Electric Vehicle and I was handed a piece of paperwork with a link to charging stations and also told by your counter clerk that the battery would last 4 days before we needed a charge, so I thought okay as long as we can charge the vehicle while on vacation (per your rental agent at the counter), we will accommodate your shortage of gas-powered vehicles as I had reserved originally. Well, we picked up the vehicle around 1pm on Wednesday the 15th and drove 10 minutes down the road to my mother in laws house in San Antonio and parked the car there for the rest of the day and overnight until we left the next morning on our trip that turned into a disaster. An hour into our trip the car the car was losing battery power, so I brought up the app for charging stations that was given to us by your counter person and we located a couple charging stations, but they were all TESLA CAR CHARGING STATIONS ONLY. While stranded for 5 hours at with my 76-year-old mother-in-law at yep, a TESLA CHARGING STATION we were approached by a local TX resident who told us that South of San Antonio there are no charging stations except for TESLA cars. How am I supposed to charge an electric car when there are no charging stations equipped to charge a TOYOTA Electric Car. Let me bring up the fact that we were stranded, and your roadside assistance (Uber) was unable to provide a ride for 5 hours. (I Have all the documentation from Uber showing them being unable to provide a ride) Once again still stranded with my 76-year-old mother-in-law I was told your roadside assistance team that I needed to call the Highway Patrol because your roadside assistance was unable to get us a ride because your roadside assistance said we were on the side of the highway. Nope- We were at a business parking lot with a TESLA charging station only and I explained that in every phone call made that day. Finally, after my mother-in-law started to feel faint and exhausted due to being out in the sun for almost 5 hours, I took it upon myself to find a LYFT driver to get us down to Corpus Christi to pick up a replacement vehicle. What was supposed to be lunch at 1 in Corpus Christi ended up being dinner at 7pm and unable to view the sites in the area. I have contacted my attorney and my credit card company, and the charges have been denied. Please let me know who my attorney and my credit card company should contact regarding your negligence (Possible Elderly Abuse in the state of TX) and two out of state residents stranded by your rental car company. BAIT AND SWITCH! I have rented cars with various agency over the years and this was the worst experience I have had in my entire life. I have literally cried a few times this weekend because of what happened at this Budget. booked a rental car with Paisly a few weeks before getting to San Antonio and received an email confirmation with quoted price. My flight was on time and I went straight to the car rental center. There was a bar code scanner I activated for check-in, then proceeded to wait ONE HOUR in what was about 6 person line. It was obvious the agents did not know what they were doing and that there were continual problems. IT GETS WORSE! Imagine how I felt when I finally get my turn and the agent told me the price was 100 dollars more than the Paisly quote. I patiently told him this was incorrect and I showed him the email from Paisly with the quoted price. He didn't know what to do and said he could not change what Budget had on their screen. I then asked him to get the manager. She dismissively told me the was not Budgets concern but Paisly's. The line behind me was growing and the agents were in chaos due to complete inefficiency. As for me, their attitude was a complete take it or leave it. I told them I would dispute this and they rushed me out. I immediately called Paisly and told the agent what happened. She agreed that I should have gotten the quoted price and arranged a 3 way call with a Budget representative who was rude, dismissive of both me and her, and was clearly lacking the communication skills to solve this matter. By this time, I was TWO HOURS post flight and needed to get to work and to my mother who is under hospice care. I am a retired public school educator who has served childre with integrity. At every turn, Budget had treated me with disrespect and inferred I am lying. Shame on you all for this, and for taking away time I could have spent with my mother.

Why is there only one person bringing cars to customers? Better yet why can't the customers retrieve their own car and proceed out? This is very inefficient and takes too much time. Then some customers are inconsiderate and want to tie up the agent for additonal time while we are forced to wait. I've never seen another a budget location do this and really no other car rental agency period. If you value your time don't use this Budget location.

-5 stars. Don’t use. Horrible customer service horrible place to rent. My wife three children and I came all the way up to San Antonio from Bellingham wa. Flat refuse take a deposit from a joint bank account. They refuse to run as credit. Had to spend more money on hotels. Missing a funeral that we came up for and still no car. I will never rent from here and will tell this everywhere I go. This I the worst company ever.

Excellent customer care at Budget. Pearline helps us at the counter and put us into a nice car that I really liked. We enjoyed seeing San Antonio in a big SUV with a glass roof! Dad says he gives Budget and the amazing Pearline 11 out of 10 stars.

Do not rent a car from them! After returning the car to them with a full tank of gas, the company charged my credit card $245.00 for a "fuel service" charge. When we called for a credit they told my wife that even after sending proof of a gas receipt they may give us a refund if the correct department approves the refund. This is a scam and I wonder how many people get charged for the same thing who do not look at their receipt. The best thing to do is rent from a different company!

This company is crooked. They will rent you a car for a cheap rate but when you go to pick it up at the San Antonio airport the wait is usually 2 hours. They don't provide customer service reps to process the rental. If you can't wait all day to pick up your car they charge you a cancellation fee. Don't rent from this company

Terrible experience!!!! We reserved an electric vehicle only to find out that upon arrival the only vehicles remaining were 12 passenger vans. Really? I mean, REALLY??? There were about 20 customers behind us who got the same bad news as us. They would not budge on assisting with gas costs. And what was truly atrocious was we have a baby who needs a car seat. They would not even rent a car seat to us when we scrambled to make other accommodations. Will never rent from them again!!!!!

Reserved a car for our first trip to San Antonio. Not only did they not have the car but they stuck us with the most ugly big ole van. Not great for driving around downtown, making the trip a lot less fun.

The sales clerk was friendly and accommodating when they didn't have the car I reserved available. The process was quick and easy to pick up and drop off the car. They are open 24/7 at The San Antonio Airport even though customer service on the phone said they weren't. The car was clean and smelled fresh.

Worst experience ever! We rented a van for a trip, paid in advance, got here before noon to pick up the van just to be told we need a major credit card. When we brought to their attention the funds had already been deducted from the debit/credit card they would not accept the card. Finally got a credit card here and now we’ve been waiting here for over and hour and a half waiting in line again. We should have been on the road over an hour ago. When we asked why that wasn’t mentioned as a requirement when we received the email, we were told it’s in the very fine print. If you ask me this should be something that is in bold print that you must have a major credit card to rent!

First off I’ll start by saying I would have given them a 5 because of Courtney who works there is a great asset to this company! Not to mention he shares the same First name ! The reason I’m not giving a 5 because I had to get a refund where they charged 19.97 for gas that was brought back with a full tank . Quickly Courtney fixed the issue . We ended up at Budget because our flight was delayed coming from Charlotte almost six hours . Fox Rental closed at 12 and even after we called them to let them know I was going to be late they said too bad come at 8 am that morning and pick up your car . So In the meantime we would have not been able to get to our hotel and and had to be at my daughters Air Force graduation at 530 Am . Well to make a long story short we rented the car from budget and Courtney was just great ! I highly recommend Budget . Fox will be left another review which I don’t recommend them !

We breezed in and out of the budget rental car line when we got into San Antonio. The person at the front desk was professional and welcoming. He even upgraded us without additional charge! The car worked perfectly and the return process was simple. Overall great experience (uncommon for rental cars lol) so I wanted to commend them on a job well done.

FastBreak? Not today over 20 minutes and counting...rep has not called for help...a couple having trouble...several people (emplyees) walked into booth and back out...line is growing...why be a fastbreak member?Oh yeah, and you wait outside and it is 100 degreesOMG - Back Here 4 Weeks Later and it is just as bad...1st rental vehicle per-assigned, good, but they have rows of parked cars in way so you can't leave...once again 100 degrees, fully sweating...gross...But Seriously, it would be great if more than 1 person worked here to expedite the line in such temperatures...
