I would like to leave a rating of 3.5. If it were the typical US school letter grade system, I'd give a "B+." (We went to Carlisle at the recommendation of another mechanic we trust.)PROSVery communicative. The automated notification system is a good one that keeps you informed all along the way while your car is in service. The folks there seem friendly and helpful.CONSWe have been here twice; the second time because we were concerned that the first visit didn't fix the issue because we saw the exact same behavior in the vehicle after got it back from Carlisle.What didn't help was that they didn't leave a sticker with the next oil change date, or any other clear indication that they had done any servicing. Along with the oil change, we also had our A/C repaired to the tune of several hundreds of dollars.Because we didn't see any indication that the oil change was done, we left unsure and uneasy if they had done the MAJOR repair to the car that we primarily came there for, which obviously isn't the greatest feeling to have after you've dropped a chunk of money on the repair.In sum, we went there for A/C repair and an oil change. We saw no sign of the oil change and when we got the car back, the A/C did the same thing (once) that it had done before taking it to them. You can see how the question comes, "What did they actually do to the vehicle?"Services: Air conditioning

Love this place. The service quality is fantastic and the work is covered by their own warranty.My dad always told me that, when it comes to car repair, you can have two out of three but never all three: good, fast, cheap. Carlisle always does good work! I would not call them cheap, but I would say they are affordable. Sometimes they’re faster than other times.I consistently return here because I know I am ALWAYS going to get good work, and it may be faster, and it may be more affordable, but I know it’s always good and I know they’re not lying to me. As a woman, that’s the biggest deal for me.

They couldn't figure out what was wrong with my AC and told me everything checked out fine. I was without my vehicle for a day and they left their paw prints all over it but that was the worst of it. Decent customer service at the counter and at least they didn't charge me the diagnostic fee. I would have appreciated some options to upgrade. I was willing to spend good money on a new system but instead I drove off with slightly cool AC. I wouldn't recommend wasting time here.Service: Air conditioning

Overall had a great experience with Carlisle Air Automotive. It took a little longer than I had hoped to get the part in for my AC repair but they were great with sending me up-dates. They also made everything work with my schedule by using the lock box and letting me pay online. I would definitely recommend them to friends/family!Services: Auto A/C recharge

We took our vehicle for an AC repair. There were leaks and had to have their work redone at the dealership. We could've taken it back for warranty work, but this is not the first bad experience with this company. We have lost all confidence in Carlisle and will be cutting our losses. We will never recommend this place to anyone, and will in fact discourage anyone considering using this place for service.

Apparently, the work was done well because now I have good cold AC. The only complaint I have is that it was over two weeks for an appointment from the time I called and then once diagnosed and given an estimate it took two extra days to get it back from the date I was told it would be ready. During the time it was in the shop, I was the one who initiated contact to get updates. Instead of overcommitting and under delivering, most folks would appreciate under committing and over delivering, or at least honest reflection of how long it would take.Service: Auto A/C replacement

Carlisle is absolutely the best A.C. repair shop in south Texas. The technicians are skilled professionals with a commitment to quality service.Tony is an amazing diagnostician and tech. The service manager, Rich is also a skilled mechanic with expertise—his experience and oversight ensures the job is done right. They completely overhauled my classic van with new air conditioning- making it more efficient and cooler than when it left the factory. Then they worked on my idle control and wiring to improve performance. Ashlyn, service writer is courteous, knowledgeable, precise and professional. I had my AC fixed at Carlisle a few months ago when the weather was still decently cool so I wanted to wait to really put it to the test and after a week of 100+ heat I can confidently say I am so glad I got my AC fixed here. I believe I called inquiring on a Monday afternoon and my car was done and ready to pick up by Tuesday afternoon. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and the experience was as easy as could be. I will recommend them to my friends!

Took them my 2007 Dodge Charger R/T AWD as the AC wasn't staying charged. Andrew was amazing! He kept me informed of the AC check and what was wrong. He contacted me with updates and let me know when they found another issue when the dash was off and how much it would cost. It was ready before I expected and the AC works great! My only issue, the car interior is dirtier than when I took it to them. The driver bottom seat cover, driver door and center console are covered with dirty hand prints and grease, thus my 4 star review. The vehicle should not be returned in this condition. It should have been cleaned or at least put a seat cover on so the leather doesn't get damaged or discolored.Update, Andrew reached out as he didn't know that the car was left the way it was, he offered to have it cleaned or for me to take it and have it cleaned and they would reimburse me, within reason of course. I explained that I live too far away and don't travel to their location often and I prefer to clean it myself. This was very kind of them, and it shows they care about their customers, and reputation. Thank you, Andrew!

My 1989 Ford F150 AC and Vacuum system was a total mess. Hoses rotted away and nothing worked. I took it to Carlisle and not only did they replace and repair the AC system as needed they also completely reworked the vacuum system. The AC use to not work well when stopped and Andrew (service writer and awesome at keeping me informed of progress) recommended an external Aux fan which I had them install as well. During the install of the AC parts and fan it appears the old radiator developed a leak. Rather than call me and tell me they found something else that needed replacing, they replaced it FREE! Past experience at other repair shops tells me I would have received a phone call telling me I needed "additional repairs" and would have been charged extra. This is PURE HONESTY at its best. Kudos to MARK, a super skilled tech who was tasked with this 30 year old MESS! The AC works FABULOUS even in the heat when stopped in traffic. THANK YOU CARLISLE!Services: Auto A/C recharge

I have used Carlisle A/C Repair several years ago. Their service was good then and it has only gotten better. Very professional, trustworthy, and not over-priced. Yesterday, I had the A/C system repaired/replaced on my 2014 Ram Truck. I had a warranty issue with the compressor. They were very accommodating and made the replacement at no charge. Unbelievable service! Brought my truck in today for an AC repair diagnostic, not only did they diagnose the problem., they got right back to me with the price and had my repair completed the same day blowing super cold air again! The AC went out in my 2018. Took it in and felt like I was treated like family. Had to have the entire system fixed, and they did a great job. Wasn't cheap but it works like it did when it was new. Even found out my turn signal lights were both out and had them replaced as well, since the front end was disassembled ended up saving me the hassle of having to get that done later for more cost. I normally don't leave reviews but this time felt like it was warranted. Great job guys!
