On 4/7/2025 I visited the Express location in North Star mall, San Antonio Tx. Upon taking a pair of pants to the counter I inquired about a small size, the associate went in back and could not locate one, the associate then returned to the register and looked at stock on a handheld device and advised me that I could purchase the pants today and then take them to the La Cantera location to exchange them for a smaller size (0) where they had them available. I made the purchase based on this advice. On 4/11/2025 I took the pants to the La Cantera location and attempted to exchange the item, I was advised the item sold to me was a non-exchangeable/returnable final sale. I advised them that I had been assured at the other location I could exchange them, and it was the only reason I purchased them and the reason I came to their location. The associate at the register spoke with the manager on duty, Evelyn Gonzalez, who advised her not to assist me with the exchange. At this time I requested the number for customer service to make an executive complaint, which I filed on 4/11/25, but the response I received via email from the customer service manager Donndee was simply a cut and paste of the policy. The manger on duty, Evelyn, refused to address the issue though she saw me standing there and simply walked off to another area in the store. I believe that I was sold an item under false pretense as no signage is posted in store stating final sale, nor the associate indicated the item as final sale prior to me making my purchase, additionally the item is available on the Express website and is not listed as a final sale item. This is an unethical business practice and appears to be a way to inflate sales goals and retain consumer funds.

I placed an order online and when I got there my items could not be located. However, the manager came out and tried to make things right. He went through the store and located the shirt for me. He didn't have to go out of his way to help. Then he honored the price I would have paid online. Great customer service.

Bought several expensive pants a few weeks ago, drove 45 mins to return them since they didn’t fit, was told not only that I couldn’t return them due to a new return policy of only 30 days, but also that there was no store credit either. Now I’m out 180 bucks. Called a customer service number they gave me who rudely informed me that I was a week past the 4 week return window. Refused to let me speak with a manager or transfer me to anyone else. Wasted money, wasted Saturday. No wonder they are going out of business.

I went to store this morning around 11:30 and I wanted to return something, the girl work at front desk was really really rude, I’m fine with store policy but please explain it for customers to understand. I show her the order number, and my phone number, but she still asked for receipt, even though I ordered it online everything in the email. And then I try to buy something from men’s side and I asked the guy there that if i can checkout on the men’s side, because I don’t want to see her again, he said have to go up to women’s side, and I felt those people so different and difficult so I left without but anything. This store need to work it out with that lady, if not they will lose business.

Don’t go here! The two blouses I chose were on discount rack but were not part of the discount. I asked the sales people if they can honor discount and Abigail the sales lady said they were misplaced and could not honor. She was not even phased by the situation. Seems like it happens all the time. Sad service

Came into express with my boyfriend to try on clothes, I had set down a plate of food I had taken from Kona grill and the rude girl (by the name Lauren) just went ahead and threw it away when I told her it was mine she went on to say “who leaves food there, I mean” with a smile on her face. I eventually was able to speak to a manager but Doesn’t erase nor does it take away the bad taste from the experience. Definitely not going to be coming back here. Corporate office do better on who you hire and or train. The disrespect she upholds and how rude her comment was, honestly never makes me want to shop here again. Thank you to the manager for making it better.

If only I could afford most the clothing here, I could say better things about the selection of clothes. Haven't bought anything yet. Walked in, looked at a few items with my wife. Thought about maybe getting a watch, but no price tags and didn't get any help offered. Walked right out.

I love the team at this location because they help and ask you questions about your vision of style when looking for items. I forgot the name of the floor associate but I do believe she is the manager (we spoke about the former styles express discontinued [photographer suit] and she informed me of the new styles). Thanks for a great experience.
