I've used Firestone stores for about 20 years for routine maintenance like oil changes, fluid services like coolant and AC, brakes, tires, alignment (they have a great $99 LIFETIME (per car0 alignment deal that pays for it self the second time you use it - I have bought this service for all my cars), and Complete Vehicle Check-up. Be aware that service, once you are checked in, is pretty slow. Oil changes typically take 1.5 hours, so I bring work if I wait, or if its brakes or something else i drop the car off for the day. Although the shops vary in quality, and management turnover at stores is pretty frequent, adding to the variables. In the past, I've typically been able to find ones near me that do a good job, but just as often I have hit a poorly managed store - and sometimes a store I have used in the past has a management change and service takes a real nose-dive. In San Antonio, however, I have not had much luck with the stores - at least those on the SE side. Service has been poor, they got my contact records all screwed up and it took 3 store visits and a call to corporate customer service to get it fixed. And work quality is between OK and questionable. The only store so far that I was satisfied with was the one at 2400 SW Military Dr, San Antonio, TX 78224. They fixed my records, gave good quality service and fairly timely - oil change and brake flush took less than 2 hours pretty fast for Firestone. Regarding routine services recommendation: I found that if I stuck to just the routine services, service quality was pretty reliable. I use the Complete Checkup because several times they have identified more serious problems that needed attention. They always provide a service estimate. HOWEVER, I learned early-on **never** to have them do the actual work because their tech turnover is too high, and none - or very, very few - are knowledgable or skilled enough for the serious work. Instead I find highly reliable and honest service shops **from referrals** that specialize in my particular car brand or country of origin (Japanese, German, etc), and get their opinions and quotes. I have had a lot of success handling repairs this way, saving a lot of money and getting higher quality results.

They made me buy a tire when they could have fixed mine. Then they changed me for leaving the old tire when I took it. I told them to put it in the car and had to ask for it at the end. The representative made sounds when I went back and told him about another tire.

Went in to get a patch and stood in line 15min just to ask a question as i was never acknowledged! Then told go outside and pull car up to get air. A car pulled in front of me and got air, and as they pulled out i pulled in. The guys (workers) again NEVER acknowledged me but made eye contact with me multiple times but never offered me air. I was almost tempted to get the air my damn self but i sd F it and drove off. And worst part is the guy seen me pulling in to the cone for air bcuz he was in the process to put the air tube back in its proper place! I will NEVER go here again…not even for air!

They advertise as a COMPLETE Auto Repair Shop but when I picked up my Car after being told repairs I had asked them to do were completed but when I got there the mechanic said they couldn't properly diagnose my 1998 Lexus for the "Complete" tune-up because they're computer didn't go back to the Year 1998 only to the Year 2000 so they couldn't diagnose the misfire in my car!!! Complete Auto Care, that's Fraudulent Advertising. They still charged me $838.00 for this lousy work!!!

I had an appt, and arrived 15 minutes early. 30 minutes after my appt. time, they finally got to my truck. Had a vibration in the front figured I needed an alignment... Three and a half hours later they had taken my tires off and switched them twice and test drove my truck three times and said I had a bad tire so they put it on the back so it wouldn't vibrate the front. charged me $75 and the mechanic put his greasy hands ALL OVER the outside of my blizzard Pearl white Platinum that I had just spent four ours detailing myself. Don't waste your time on this place!

The Firestone on Goliad Rd. really provided the best care for my 2008 Tacoma. They ran a complete diagnostic listing everything the truck needed. The services were completed in the afternoon. This is why I continue to go back.

I went in this morning asking for a diagnostic to trouble shoot. I described what may be the issue, but I'm no mechanic, but I wanted to leave it to the auto care team. Customer service suggested if I think I know what the problem is, I should take it somewhere else.

Always do my state inspections here... fast service for the most part but once in a while they're busy and it may take an hour for them to get to me... I don't mind but if you can't wait it's something to consider for a simple inspection

Love Firestone and all the service provided. I only come for the oil change but if they see something about to break they will let you know. I highly recommend this place.

I had my car inspected, it needed a brake light, they wanted to charge me 48.00 for that, went home about 2 miles away, changed it my self, went right back to the location maybe 30 minutes away, had to get it reinspected, another two hours, everytime I use their service they try and tell me I need a new battery or something else,I guess where I am a woman they try and take advantage, do not use location, go somewhere else.the man was taking to me like I am stupid, I was a mechanic and I know better

I went in here with a flat no appointment. Dropped it off at 10am got it back at 430pm. The tire "had" to be replaced. I'm fine with that it happens. Tire showing no problem was replaced. Where the flat tire with know problem still had original tire on. When I called and questioned what happened to the tire and why there was a new tire in the wrong spot. They told me they replaced the tire with mail in it and they didn't see any problems in other tires. I gave them the benefit of the doubt maybe someone rotated it and didn't put it in notes. Next day same bad tire is going flat again. I will be going to another location to hopefully get my tire fixed/replaced for real this time.

Where do I start off? Let's start off with the fact that there were four men there, but apparently out of the four only two were useful. When was the sales rep who only know how to sell tires and I guess over price you for everything but doesn't know how to put his hands on a vehicle so when a person calls out he can actually be useful then there is another person that I guess just pools cars and it's also useless to touch the car when I got there I only needed them to replace two tires and put them on the rams. You can get the tire off and put it on at the same time while you're doing other things like an oil change for another car that they didn't even have jacked up, so are you doing a Noyle change the right way? Are you doing it the wrong way? Who knows then you're telling me it takes 30 minutes for an inspection that's so funny cause I just got my car inspected and it took them no longer than 10 minutes and when I go to take five for an oil change, it literally takes no more than 15 minutes on their worst day 20 ever you to tell me, it is an hour wait before one of your mechanics puts their hands on my vehicle was an utter shame, and quite honestly a disappointment. It just goes to show that your men cannot multitask and do more than one thing at once, because they are useless you had four docs two of them were taken you had enough space to take another vehicle in and they take my tires but instead you told me it's going to be a weight of an hour while I have people standing on the side of the road keeping my car safe it is unacceptable. Business is Unacceptable service the people were rude and quite honestly unreliable. I would never take my car there if I was you, I wouldn't trust him to save your car. I don't want to chess put their hands in your car to see his house. He takes them an hour to do an oil change in 30 minutes do an inspection that should be warning enough that they aren't worth a damn.

I will never again use this location. They wanted to charge me over seventy dollars to simply change bulbs for headlights so I could pass inspection. I said no...I failed...went to autozone bought bulbs and changed them myself...I went back to this location same day and asked to have it inspected again. I overheard two mechanics speaking about me and looking over at me while I was at the counter. One of them was the guy who tried to gouge me over the phone. They passed my car without even looking at it. Never again. This was not the first time I was over charged and under served st this location and I will not be going back.Services: Oil change

Old school tire and repair. Outside and inside neglected. On the positive side they had the particular tires I was looking for and they mounted them sooner than I was expecting.
