The store itself was nice. When asking for assistance, they told us sorry and walked off. No help was given and we were basically just treated as if we weren’t good enough. Do not recommend.

It's like the Walmart of guitar stores. They'll more than likely have what you need, but common sense, courtesy, and knowledge are usually nowhere to be found

Was trying out new guitar pedals and the store manager cut the power to amps and instruments 30mins before close. Was this close to buying 2 pedals. But not anymore. Thanks for nothing bud.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for the staff in the retail store up front.
This review is for the guys in the back.. my daughters and I came to buy a Viola, we just needed to ask why only one was displayed and to order the one we wanted.
We were standing there for 5minutes, two men were servicing a gentleman already, but NO ONE EVEN ACKNOWLDGED US!
Not a "Hello" "Welcome In" or even "well be right with you" - Nothing.
So, of course, we left because WHY would I spend hundreds of dollars in a store where the employees are clearly some kind of ignorant.

i’ll start off by saying i don’t mind the prices or the inventory. they always have what i need 100%. my issue and this has always been my issue with this place is the customer service / employees. i stopped going here for this exact reason years ago but since the other main chain sam ash has recently closed this is the only place i can get anything i need in person. i’ve never had a good experience here but recently i went to buy some stuff i needed, took a long time but i got it.
i ended up getting the wrong size so the next day i went back to return it. when i asked for help and told the guy what happened and that i really just needed to swap this out and pay the difference which was like $1.67 he sent me to the drum area and said the drum tech will be there in a second and to wait for him. why? i have no idea i just needed a simple return. anyways i ended up waiting for 15 minutes and no one ever came. i saw other employees walking around but no one helped me. i went back to the front counter and told the same guy who sent me over there that no one came to help, can he just help me. he tells me one second and walks away and then comes back and says sorry the drum tech was in the other room drinking coffee. okay? finally he helps me but as we continue with the process he doesn’t know what he’s doing and he literally tells the other employee next to him some other girl use to handle all this and why did she quit or whatever. he didn’t know how to do the transaction and ended up having to refund me and charge me again. they need to retrain their staff. this was my first visit in years and my last. to top it all off the dude did my refund wrong and gave me a store voucher so i called and explained my issue only to get attitude (probably the dude who messed up my refund) and then told he was going to transfer me to a manager. i wait for about 6min and then get transferred to someone who i think is the manager. i explain what happened and they say oh, let me get you to a manager. seriously ? luckily i was transferred to a lady in an office at a tech support place and she finally gave me the info and help i needed but that’s insane. buy online people. sweetwater has better customer service than this place.

I miss Sam Ash, here customer service sux. I will rather buy online than waste gas coming here. Horrible people working here. Place is falling apart looks like I walked into a pawn shop. Get it together. Go buy online dont waste your time coming here. It's less expensive for the same brand stuff online.

I walked in there trying to buy a piano.
Everyone and their grandmas are in there punching the piano keys. Mostly people who live in the street trying to get a few hours of AC (understandable). But it makes it incredibly difficult to hear the piano to make a selection of what I'm trying to buy. I couldn't hear the piano because there were 5 other people (who were not there to buy a piano) heating the piano keys. So I couldn't buy the piano because I was unable to hear it's sound. Then, I wanted to buy some recording headphones, another person who was not in their right mind, with incredibly dirty hair was trying them all on so I did not even attempt to put them on. They are also not being cleaned afterwards so that's another Hazzard this place is exposing you to. Place is dirty as can be and the location attracts a bad crowd that are not even trying to make a purchase.

There’s not enough staff for the amount of people in the store. Went in to purchase a Fender Pro II PBass. Asked for help and waited nearly 40 mins before I just left. The line to purchase anything was around the corner of the displays. It’s one of the only places left in that area since Sam Ash and Music Go Round closed, but I’d rather buy on Sweetwater without even trying the bass out just so I can avoid going to this depressing store.

Don’t bother trying to sell to them. First time I drove out the system was down and I was told to come back. I came back and now they aren’t taking guitars. Waste of time coming out here.

Decent amount of bass guitars to choose from. I couldn’t reach some of them to try and there was no one around to help get one down or at least look at the price tags. It is good they are busy so I wasn’t too put off and I found a sweet used bass to buy!

Applied for a card in store and never got the card shipped to me, but a mysterious charge of $2700 appeared on my next statement. I only ever visited the store once and never input the card information anywhere, let alone use it, and when calling the support number I was told that they couldn't see the status of the order, the delivery address, or the purchaser's name, but could confirm the statement on my account. I tried calling this store since it was the one that was listed on the statement and the one I visited. The first time someone picked up and gave me the manager contact information, and afterwards for around 2 weeks every time I called, the manager Aaron wasn't there or couldn't reply to my email for some reason despite one of the employees confirming that they received it. I plan to file a police report since they refuse to take this seriously.

I've been to this store twice and I always feel like I'm an inconvenience.
I was really disappointed with the poor customer service...I ended up going to Hermes music around the corner. The store is smaller but they really made me feel welcomed.

Had to fly in and rent speakers for a gig. Had to call several times to get someone. Very busy place. Management was very polite. The regular workers seemed to be irritated and not very friendly. Speakers I rented were beat to death. Speakers had dents all over. Stand was broken. Then, they wanted me to add insurance on beat-up equipment. I did only to protect myself. Although a bit of a rip-off. Will not rent there again. Darth Athena out...
