As much as I love this HEB, recently I noticed something that has been happening too often now. A few weeks back one of my shampoo bottles never made it back into my cart, although it had been scanned, and this time, the person in front of me’s bottle of hair product ended up in one of my bags. In general the employees here are very friendly, but it still kinda sucks when this happens because these bottles are like 10 bucks each

The H-E-B at Blanco and West Ave is a convenient option for quick grocery trips, especially if you're nearby. The store has a decent meat section with reasonable prices, and they offer a large selection of vitamins, which is a plus if you're looking for supplements. However, the produce section is limited, with not the greatest selection or quality, and the seafood section is a big no-go.
This location also has a nostalgic feel for me, as I grew up in the area and have been shopping here for years. While it works for small hauls, I usually prefer going to the H-E-B on NW Military or Costco for larger grocery trips, where the selection and quality are better overall. One major downside of this location is the area at night—it's not the safest, and there can be some shady characters around. So, while it's convenient for quick stops during the day, I wouldn't recommend going after dark.

As smaller H-E-B‘s go, I think this one is five stars even if I gave it four stars because the Alon is so nearby. Easy to get in and out of, I can find 95% of my groceries as long as they aren’t too fancy, and the management and staff are always very friendly and efficient.

Curbside works are amazing. What is not okay is that people who want to buy directly from the store park in an area that is not the right one and sometimes we have to wait for a space to become vacant.
