The so called (General Manager) Cindy she was being rude and obnoxious. She likes to flex her position about being the general manager while talking down to the customers then hangs up.

This was my first time in San Antonio and in Texas overall, and this hotel was a highlight of my trip. First and foremost, the staff was outstanding, particularly the two young women at the front desk, Shasta and Milena, with whom I interacted the most. My room was better than I expected. It was spacious and had everything I needed. I never had any trouble falling asleep, thanks to the AC and king size bed. Even the couch put me out quickly when I need a nap. My room was near the elevator and ice dispenser, so that was a bonus. The hotel itself had many good features, including a laundromat, and was in a prime location for sightseeing and shopping. The complimentary breakfast was excellent and got my day off to a good start, so compliments to the staff! I'm not sure if or when I'll be going back to San Antonio, but if I do, I'll be staying at this hotel once more. I highly recommend this hotel!

Lupe the night front desk gentleman was amazing. These was an oversight on our end for booking and he made sure the problem was resolved and we were able to get a good night sleep ! He was wonderful and we are grateful.

When we arrived we asked to have our room changed because the first floor was so loud due to the traffic flow. We were moved to the fourth floor. Getting off of the elevator we saw a carpet that was dirty and buckle and the floor has a strong musty odor. When getting to our room it too smelled bad. We had no other options than to stay here but I have to say that I might end up getting bed bugs. Thank God we did not. The free coffee was always lukewarm warm except during breakfast. The breakfast on the first morning was not good. Watery oatmeal and the sausage must have been overcooked on the microwave. The second morning the breakfast was much better. The staff were very nice and even allowed us to park the day we departed for a bit longer so that we could get to see the Alamo. Evenso, I would not recommend this location to anyone and am very disappointed as a Hilton Honors member for more than 7 years. This location really needs some attention and upgrading. I feel like I should be reimbursed for such a terrible stay.

I had a truly horrible experience with their front desk at night. Avoid Lupe at all costs, he will threaten to call the police on you as you stand there mouth agape. My cousin reserved a room for me and her. When she checked in, she did not add me to the reservation. When I landed from the airport, she picked me up and dropped me at the hotel and went to do some things. I went to the room but my keys weren’t working so I went to the front desk and asked for new keys. I showed my ID and was told I wasn’t on the reservation. I asked for Lupe to call my cousin to straighten things out. He refused and started yelling that he was cancelling the reservation. I was immediately scared because he appeared unwell to be overreacting in this way. I said ok, would we get a refund. He said we’d get a full refund. I then asked if I could get my bags from the hall upstairs. Lupe said I could not and that he was going to call the police. I said ok…… and sat down in the lobby. Eventually, my ride came and he let her get my bags….. I’m not sure if it was racial or gender discrimination but it was truly scary to see someone become so unhinged over a miscommunication. Best of all, they didn’t refund me…….Safety: Not safe because the night employee is mentally ill

**ATTENTION**My stay at Hamptons would have been a great experience breakfast was great, customer’s service from Ninfa was awesome. But unfortunately my friend got BIT BY A BED BUG!!! when we went to the lobby at the moment this happened nobody was there. At check out we talked to management and they said that they would check out the room and give us a call to see if an adjustment to our bill could be done. NEVER AGAIN COMING BACK!Management never called back to do any adjustments nor to give us an explanation/or at least a sorry we can’t do anything for you!

Hampton Inn downtown/Market square could save you some money if willing to bear with its deficienciesHampton Inn downtown/Market square bears its years and certainly could do with some maintenance, refurbishment, and facelift, but overall, I believe everything sits on the bearable side of the balance. The pros, certainly its location, within –considerable– walking distance from downtown and all its attractions and businesses; price, which can sky rocket disproportionately when the town gets busy, but when booked in anticipation saves you quite some money; and staff (but housekeeping), who –I believe– are well aware of the property’s deficiencies and still try to make the best with what they have. Though I read reviews highlighting this hotel’s bad surroundings, I did not see homelessness nor felt insecure; I even did some late food runs to the HEB without any worry. The cons, of course, the building itself. It’s hard to hide –and list– all the imperfections you’ll encounter throughout your stay, however, keep in mind that worn out does not mean filthy. Carpets are dingy, furniture has seen better days, the in-room fridge buzzed annoyingly through the night, and the shower hanger was broken, making showering a bit of a challenge. When it comes to style and charm, well, let’s better not walk down that path. Regarding housekeeping, it was strangely “fortunate” that they knocked at my door 5 minutes after my arriving to the room regardless of the time in the afternoon, forcing me to request them to come back later, which of course, they did not do.The neutrals, sometimes left off of the reviews but this time worth mentioning, were the bed, comfortable; the linens and pillows, beyond decent; the gym, clean and well taken care of; the parking, which was 10USD/night but, because of the location and the fully booked dates, thought would be more expensive; and noise insulation, which helped me with a good night’s sleep even with a thunderstorm going on through the night.Rooms: Stay away from the 4th floor... not sure why but all complaints came from there...

Great location, lots of walkable places like market square. Overall good service, only reason I gave 4 stars is because the DM who was on duty was very rude, how she spoke to her employee how she spoke to her customers, I've been in customer service over 15years, I would NEVER treat customers or employees that way hopefully the employee can reach out to HR because that is NOT how you should be talked to, some people get a little bit of power and think they are above everyone but at the end of the day you are just a DM at a hotel who seems miserable. OTHER than her the place is great lol

Hi, The whole experience was a mess with hampton inn, from going to one hotel originally booked that didn’t have me in the system so then ended up booking at this location at the last minute and worst decision, it’s better to pay more to get a better experience. The outside parking lot had trash, a dead bird and rat that was out there for the majority of my stay. The manager had a rude approach, and was not customer friendly at all and could have went about the situation differently. Being that she works in a “pet friendly hotel” she should know there is going to be some accidents along the way. The parking also has a fee however there is not even a garage or to where your car feels safe because once it gets full you have to park at their old spot that they apparently still own. Not to mention the curtains had stains and the shower was all rusted. Spend your money elsewhere!!!
