Reversed a car on a Wednesday for Friday to Monday.
Showed up Friday and the guy says we are all out of cars. He wasn't sure how I was able to reserve a car since they've been out for awhile. At this point I mentally checked out because I was supposed to be on the road in 30 minutes. Messed up whole weekend. So disappointed. I just walked out of the office.

If you need to rent a car, always and only use Hertz. The manager Chris, really took care of our family!

no cars in stock, and didn't give me the right customer service number now I gave to wait 2 weeks before i get my money back,

One and only Hertz rental ever. Rented car to drive from Austin to Corpus Christi and there was not one facet of the experience that rates more than 1 star. They don’t have people on phone just a recording to text and they don’t respond to text. Online checkin doesn’t work and you still must stand in line at counter. Car didn’t have USB plug for phone but they did tell me where I could buy a converter. Pick up area is so dimly lit even in middle of day you can’t tell color of car much less whether or not it’s damaged. In short: never again

The car was filthy with low tire pressure warnings and the customer support is nonexistent. Will never return to this location and likely never to Hertz.

Booked a car with Hertz over a month in advance for Thursday pickup. On the day of, they called to say they had no cars and couldn’t honor my reservation. They offered no solutions and left me to figure out my own travel. I had to scramble and book with another company at a much higher price. Completely unreliable and zero customer service

I had the pleasure of renting a vehicle at Hertz, and Shalonda Williams gave such good service. I thought she was the district manager. She was extremely punctual, professional, and understood the concept of serving others. I want to take the time to personally acknowledge your employee as she was very deserving of good feedback.

I had the pleasure of working with agents Gabe and Chris. Both gentleman provided excellent customer service and handled themselves with utmost professionalism. They provided a thorough explanation of the rental process before, during, and after.

So this 4-star review is a mix of a 5-star customer service rating (Chris helped us) and a 3-star rating for this branch’s policies.
We had a long West Texas trip ahead of us and made a reservation using the “manager’s special”.
It appears that, for this location, the manager’s special consists solely of electric cars — a fact that was not communicated until I got to the branch in person.
I should note that I have used this manager’s special feature many times at the airport and have never been forced to take an electric car against my will.
Thanks to Chris, we got a normal car this time. There is no way an electric car would have been feasible in the vast empty spaces in West Texas.
So Chris, thank you for helping us. And to the branch owners — please do not force these electric cars on customers unless they know beforehand.

I recently rented a vehicle through the San Pedro location, with the help with Chris. I was ready to give up when he offered another suggestion and it put me on the road to my destination. Thank you, again so much.

Made a reservation via CapitalOne travel on Apr 13th for pickup on May 23. Received a text message the day before reminding me about my reservation. Ordered a Lyft and arrived at the location and was told that they didn't have any vehicles available in the size that I reserved. I rented a van and they only had a 5 seater available at a different location. They claimed to have called me but when asked what number they had on file it wasn't even remotely close to my number. I verified that my phone number was correct within my Gold Plus Rewards President's Circle profile online. The wizard behind the counter was not sympathetic and needs to learn how to treat customers. He was not apologetic to any degree and simply told me that they had 40+ other people in the same situation. If that is the case then why would you overcommit and allow reservations to be made over a month in advance when you don't have the inventory? I will never rent from Hertz again nor will I recommend them...

No obviously signage to let you know where this location is. Only one person to help a long line of people waiting to get cars. Website won’t give information about location or office location. And calling, the automated prompts hang up on you.
Well, I’ll do what Hertz won’t do….
10010 San Pedro is located inside a tall office building at the corner of Ramsey and San Pedro. The building has the address of “10000” on it , not 10010. There is no signage.
Go in building and look for hertz’s office.
Good luck getting prompt service.
