The building was abandoned for a while then this hotel came in renovations it's nice move unlike the west coast most people don't living in the inner city pearl brought alot of "innovation" anyways come across as greedy hotel overpriced stay. Their designs are nice etc "Selena" wanted to add a clothing line upper Broadway why most people in San Antonio get critical once someone tries to renovate this area she was like the "mayor" Pearl can stereotype the Hispanic staff like everyone else in the hotel industry "Selena movement" was natives have rights. Can come across as an overpriced hotel. Real life castle from a theme of"French Disney film" play at that theme sometimes I think hotel moving forward with that. Very real that many Hispanic soilders in the army passed away in France during WW2. The hotel just seems to push hispanic staff around.Design team could capitalize on the morning sunrise put a "yellow" hallway and gold wall finish lack of creativity if your gonna charge over 700.00 dollars a night. I think the design team puts no thoughts into the little details of artistic hotel throughout the hotel. This hotel was abandoned building for long time charge over 700.00 get reality.

everything was good except for the lobster pasta it was to much oil I couldn't eat it, I took it home to eat later and got more oily.overall is good but i didn't enjoyed the pasta and it was my birthday but I didn't complain, beer isn't in the menu you have to ask for it then have like 4 options the one we choose was really good.

What can I say? Hotel Emma was simply amazing. I was contacted by the concierge prior to my check-in, and per her recommendations, I reserved seating at Sternewirth and a couple spots on their historical tour. Both were awesome. Hotel Emma does an awesome job at showcasing and preserving its fascinating history. I highly recommend reserving seats in one of the former tanks at Sternewirth if you plan to enjoy some cocktails. The noise level gets pretty high in the evening and the tank serves as a sound barrier! There is even a call button inside the tank you can press for service. Seating is comfortable and the drinks were tasty. I enjoyed their Three Emmas, Dragonfall, and Golden Truth (alcohol-free) cocktails. Conveniently located in the Pearl District, we enjoyed the weekend farmer's market and a live band at Stable Hall. The room was lovely and we really enjoyed the balcony view of the Riverwalk and fireplace. They also offer guests exclusive access to their library which was a nice quiet spot to enjoy a few complementary beverages and look at their book collection. Staff were all welcoming and attentive and seemed to genuinely care about the quality of your stay. They were exemplary.

Words can't express how absolutely perfect Hotel Emma was for our wedding. From the very first moment we reached out and stayed in fall of 2023 to tour the venue to the final goodbyes on our wedding on 4/20/2024, Hotel Emma and every employee we came in contact with provided an unprecedented level of service. We hosted our entire wedding weekend at the hotel and our guests raved all weekend--it's no wonder Hotel Emma is the #1 Luxury hotel. They are unlike any place I've stayed. I have traveled, dined, and visited many many places, and I've never had an experience quite like this!!! The entire hotel down to the details is an experience in and of itself.Meghan, the event/weeding coordinator, is absolutely incredible. We had the pleasure of communicating over a 6-month period and I am so grateful I had her in my corner for the wedding. She will make you feel like her only event!!!A special shout out to our welcome party server/host at Sterinwerith, Patrick. He put up with all of our shenanigans on both nights!! He was extremely accommodating and made all of our guests feel valued.I wish I could remember the name of every person, but I want to make sure management recognizes the valet staff & concierge from the weekend of 4/18-4/21. We were constantly impressed with their service & kindness all weekend, despite all of our wedding happenings and things going on around the hotel. It seemed as if there was something we needed, the staff was ready before we even asked.Hotel Emma provided the backdrop and orchestrated the best day of my life. I cannot wait to come back and spend many more special days here!!If you are thinking about visiting or hosting an event here, just DO IT! It is 1000% the best choice you will make!A few quick notes if you're just reading reviews for a visit:-- the hotel itself is truly stunning; they've put thought into every detail and it's rich with history. You will literally miss the iconic Hotel Emma smell when you leave.-- they've thought of everything; you don't have to even leave the hotel if you don't want to. Between their fully accommodating concierge and room service to their bars, market, coffee shop, restaurant, and pool, the hotel has everything you need.-- the pearl is such a cool place to stay, so if you want to get out and explore you're surrounded by some of the best food and shops. Go to Cured!!! Highly recommend

I booked The Emma for a staycation and it did not disappoint. The staff were all professional and SO friendly! Everywhere we went on property, we were greeted with enthusiasm and acknowledgment. I loved that everyone asked to make sure we were doing great during our stay. I’ve been to handful of 5 star hotels in the past year and none have made us feel more welcome than The Emma. The room we were in was fairly large with 2 queens beds and comfortable sofa overlooking the pool. The bathroom was nice, great toiletries that you’re able to purchase in the gift shop. The pool is great! Comfortable and plenty of lounge chairs. We stayed there all day! Drinks were good, some food options are available. The gym is right next to the pool and overlooks the Riverwalk. Really great views from here. The library was a great spot to escape the busy lobby in the evening. The hotel bar was really busy on Friday and Saturday, the guests flow into the lobby so it can get loud. If you’re lucky to find a seat, I’m sure the drinks are good but we didn’t try.Don’t skip the room service for breakfast. The cinnamon roll is a must!!We can’t wait to stay here again! Worth every single penny!

As someone who regularly travels and seeks out the most luxurious and unique boutique hotels, this is my all-time favorite. The history behind the hotel is etched into every corner of the building. The service is the best I’ve ever received from a domestic hotel. The food is all locally sourced. The details. The details seal the deal for me. It’s like being transported through time to a midcentury tale with all the luxuries of modern time. Adrien is one of our favorites!! He runs Supper and ensures that each guest receives a completely personalized experience. Also, Johnny the server is amazing. The smell… they have the smell of old leather pumping through their lobbies complimented by their two custom scents. If you are considering staying here, please make the jump. It’s worth every penny.

Amazing food. Beautiful architecture. Stunning decor. Friendly staff. Rooms are clean as a whistle and spacious. Just be aware that the location is far from the main sightseeing locations in San Antonio but it’s only a short drive or a 35 minute walk to the tourist area.
