I am pleased to share the positive experience I had at Larson’s Automotive in San Antonio. A very detailed report was provided with every recommended repair after a complimentary digital inspection. The report included an explanation of why each repair was necessary with actual pictures of the parts to be replaced. No surprises! From my initial call with Chris, John’s warm greeting at the shop and Esteban’s professional work, Larson’s Automotive is by far, the most professional and courteous establishment I have visited in San Antonio. Kudos to Pete and Trish for running such a fine establishment ??

Great experience all the way around. John was knowledgeable, communicative, and overall professional. They provide detailed recommendations based on their inspection, complete services efficiently, and even offer weekend/after-hours drop off and pick up. We plan on having more work done!

I recommend Larson's Automotive to everyone. They go above and beyond in their service, due diligence, and professionalism. Touring their facility and meeting some of their employees, you can tell they are well-equipped and care to do the right thing. They have been a true asset in dealing with my company's fleet vehicles. Prices are fair, work is quality, and the whole experience has been great!
We are very gracious that Larson's was able to help us with an employee vehicle safety day last week. They knocked it out of the park! Thank you Pete, Tricia, Chris, Jett, John and the rest of the crew at Larson's Auto!

Excellent at communication throughout, would notify me immediately when there was change or charge that needed to be made for the 3 visits our chevy van made for the same issue. Larsons started either the alternator along with other maintenance items that were done while they were in there. 2k. Had the same issue and was towed back in. Replaced the battery. $300ish. Not it. Towed back in, had me remove aftermarket sound equipment. Made it home. Not it. Towed to Kingdom Auto next door, made battery cable. Issue free since. $230, which included inspection fee.

I found Larson's automotive because I had some paint chips repaired on my truck next door. I saw the Amsoil sign in thier window.
When my truck was due for it's next oil change, I called and scheduled it for an Amsoil oil and filter change.
Positive things to say: Thier method of inspecting EVERYTHING and sending a very great report with pictures is amazing.
The way of describing the how's and why's to somebody who doesn't understand automotive tech is great.
The report is broken down into sections for recommended services. It shows everything that's good with your vehicle.
By virtue of that, I am impressed!
Now the negative:
I went in understanding that Amsoil is not cheap. My oil change cost was a bit more than I expected.
However, almost $60.00 for a cabin air filter, and over $50.00 for an engine air filter are completely out of any normal price range.
The brake fluid change, I expected that cost. Also, your shop needs to break down the parts and labor you're charging your customers.
Any person knows this.
So my review stands.
I expected excellence with integrity. I wanted no price gouging like the dealerships do. My search continues.
I guess at 60 years old and being a veteran who trained new recruits to serve my country. I take for granted that God, Country, honor and integrity are important to businesses. My review is to help the customers, and Larson's automotive with relationships and better ways of communicating.
Possibly I can bring my own filters next time? An engine air filter for my truck is around $12.00 online. So labor seems high.
Maybe I got charged as they didn't have the filters in the shop and had to have them delivered?

This shop has done work on my ‘05 Hummer H2, ranging from tune-ups to engine swaps, and I think I’ve found my Auto-repair shop Home. Great communication by John, Hector, Chris and most anyone you chat with, and when they say they will call or send you updates, that’s exactly what they do—large dealership service centers (Ford and GM) fail in this routinely. Chris was very helpful and walked me through the process. He worked with my claims adjuster throughout the process. The ignition and steering column vandalism repairs were done in a timely manner by Hector the mechanic. Thank you.
