Great company and a shame they're going away. It's a going out of business sale ! I Don't know what people expect but take advantage of the finest quality in the state for give away pricing. Better than settling for the low end box stores and disposable furniture.

There marketing was terrible Buy one piece full price " three times markup" second piece 1 cent. . Interior designers , are the way to go. I can buy anything they sell, with no overhead.

Connie helped me decide on perfect pieces to furnish my living room. We ended up getting an entire room set from Stickley and it is amazing! What’s more amazing was Connie: kind, funny, helpful, no-pressure, and very helpful!! Go to Louis Shanks and ask for CONNIE!! SHE IS THE BEST!

We went to check furniture for the big closing sale and were very disappointed. Even with the listed sales price, furniture prices were exorbitant. We were also followed closely behind by the sales person that greeted us at the door. He even jumped on the elevator when we went to the 2nd floor.

I walked into the store today to look for a new sofa set. At the start, my impression was that the sore was not particularly busy, despite the fresh "going out of business" signage. There were many employees standing or sitting around, chatting about their weekend or the recent football games, but not ONCE in the 30 minute visit were my partner and I approached about assistance. We watched several other individuals and couples of various ages be offered help, so I'm not convinced the lack of help is a sales tactic. We walked in with plain clothes, received plenty of side-eyed looks, but no offers for service. I've been to numerous other affluent furniture stores in the Austin area and at MINIMUM you're asked if you need assistance. I thought it was all in my head until I read other reviews, BUYER BEWARE (if you're even able to be recognized as one). The reviews seem true, inhospitable, very non-Texan in regard to hospitality and frankly, outdated and damaged showroom furniture. Glad to see this retailer being pushed to improve their sales practice (it's clear they've been resistant to change). It's 2023, not the 60's.

I can see why the furniture store is going out of business. I read a review and immediately understood what they meant when they said they felt judged. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m young and she felt like I was a “threat” to the store. I barely stepped foot in the door and felt that judgement. I was approached by a women known as “d rod” or Deborah but was stared down by other employees. I definitely felt like she was being a helicopter employee. Like if she needs to watch my every move as if I’m gonna “ruin” furniture. I felt like I couldn’t comfortably look at furniture without her watching everything I did. It made me feel so uncomfortable and I couldn’t wait to get out of there. GIVE PEOPLE SPACE when looking at furniture. You are not going to be in my home when I purchase furniture. That was my first and last time ever going in this store. Glad it’s closing!

Sorry to see them close, but this "Going out of business liquidation" is a complete con. They increased the retail price with new tags, then put the " reduced" price under it. Then said they will take off even more from the reduced price. LOL. The reduced price is the real retail price to begin with. Everything in the store, even after additional savings, is more expensive than anywhere you can find the same item online. Additionally, the liquidation company they're using brought in low quality items the store doesn't usually sell, just for the "liquidation". The store in San Antonio will stay open until their lease is up in December, so don't waste your time trying to get any good deals until then.

I wanted to take a moment to share my absolute joy and satisfaction with the furniture store that I recently visited. I must say, their products and services are beyond exceptional. In particular, I want to shower praise on Christine, who was my sales associate during my visit. She truly went above and beyond to assist me throughout the entire process. Her knowledge and expertise in furniture were evident, as she provided me with valuable insights and helped me make the right choices based on my preferences and needs. Not only was Christine incredibly professional, but she also exhibited exceptional customer service skills. She was attentive, patient, and took the time to understand my vision for my space. Her friendly demeanor and willingness to go the extra mile really stood out to me. I cannot express how grateful I am for her assistance. The furniture store itself boasts an impressive selection of high-quality products. From stylish sofas to elegant dining sets, they have something to suit every taste and budget. The showroom is well-organized, making it easy to browse and visualize how the pieces would look in different settings.Furthermore, the staff at the store were friendly and helpful, creating a welcoming and pleasant atmosphere. It was evident that customer satisfaction is a top priority for them. The entire shopping experience was smooth and enjoyable, thanks to the team's dedication and attentiveness.I have no hesitation in recommending this furniture store to anyone in search of exceptional products and outstanding customer service. Should you be in need of new furniture, I highly encourage you to visit and ask for Christine. I am confident that you will have a similarly positive experience.Once again, thank you to Christine and the furniture store team for providing such an exceptional level of service. I am now a proud and satisfied customer, and I will definitely be returning for any future furniture needs.

BUYER BEWARE!Let me preface, there were two salespeople we spoke to, with one discussing the restocking fee if we were not happy with the product after delivery. We were in the market for living room furniture . We found what we thought was a good choice and were on the fence because of price. We decided to go search elsewhere until there was a sale. We decided to move forward, and between getting financing and signing, we left believing we made a good purchase. It was delivered right before Christmas and looked asthetically beautiful. THEN, after two days of real usage, we realized this was a major mistake. The furniture was the most UNCOMFORTABLE furniture we have ever purchased!!!You can feel the framing through the cushions over the course of, let's say, watching a movie... Something you don't realize when testing it on a showroom floor for a few minutes. We contacted Louis Shanks immediately and requested a return. We were told it was possible, and there would be a restocking fee... We figured 10%. They came back after several days and texted that there would be a 20% restocking fee on $15K.We asked our sales person to advocate for us on a lower restocking fee. They denied taking the furniture back - All Sales Final. Now we were very disappointed, but pleaded they would reconsider, especially considering the company has been around for decades. They refused. We would have bought other furniture in place of those items with Louis Shanks, but their integrity is now questionable, and to be frank is nad business. In the end, we will never set foot in this establishment again for as long as we live.
