Staff was very friendly and professional, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The wait for the doctor was a bit lengthy, but worth it in the end. He was very interested and had useful tips as this was an intake/initial visit with our rescue dog Katy. We'll definitely come back.

Best Professional and Compassionate care my pets have received through many years. Dr. Ruiz and the rest of the team work together to provide high quality services.

They are always so friendly. Was curbside service during the pandemic but now its two people allowed per appt. They offer a variety of services and they even included nail trimming. Got a years worth of vaccinations and treatments I know it's gonna be expensive but that's what we do for our furry children

I can't believe ANYONE has had a negative experience. I have had large, high maintenance pets....Mastiffs, Akitas, Danes, Bouviers, etc....and even large cats: Servals and Maine Coons.....and this hospital has managed our family like we were part of their family. Sometimes, their services can take a bit of time BUT THEY ARE WORTH THE WAIT. In fact, I drive almost an hour to see Dr. Bauml and have seen a few other Veterinarians in the San Antonio area due to proximity and I ALWAYS return to the Assisi practice (ashamed for being lazy). I have Vet tech experience and am pleased with their methods and follow up care provided to our precious Mastiffs. They even connected me with a home Euthanasia service when it came time to help our beautiful female go chase Angels in the tall grasses of Heaven. Their prices are highly competitive and they work with their clients to help in almost every financial situation. Outstanding representatives in the Animal Healthcare Field! I Highly, Highly recommend this practice and any professional Dr. Bauml has employed there. Your Pet family will be treated to the best care available in San Antonio!

The visit itself was fine, just routine vaccinations. They come to your vehicle to get your pet and bring it back so no one goes inside the building right now and that's all fine and dandy. What I didn't appreciate was after my pet was brought back to me, waiting another 20 minutes for my Bill and then no acknowledgment or apology. Just here your total how do you want to pay. Even when I stated I had been waiting that long, just ignored my comment. We are leaving the area so won't be back anyway but wanted them to know the poor service that front office is providing.

Took my new puppy for a check up. By far the most thorough visit. I felt my puppy was completely taken cared of.

Dr Bauml is our regular hero but Dr. Musquiz and team were beyond excellent. Honestly, I expected nothing less. Mike came out quickly in response to my text just having picked Cheeto up from Angel of Mercy. He needed close monitoring and O2. Dr. Musquiz and Richard kept me informed throughout the day while taking care of my little boy. I was able to take him home by the afternoon. I was so relieved to see him breathing much better. He had such a long day and was pretty tired. He slept well throughout the night without any issues. Thank you all for the wonderful care!!!

I have been coming here since we moved to San Antonio about 4 years ago. For the first two years they were great, a bit pricy, but I liked them. Over the last year, pre and during covid, they have gone downhill quite a bit. Last year (pre-covid) we had an appointment for 1pm and we were not seen until almost 2pm. This became the norm. At one point you couldn't reach a live person on the phone, you just got to leave a message. The doctor has always been great but I think the office staff was lacking. We set an appointment for my two dogs today to get shots. It was set for 11am. We drove there and got to the parking lot at 10:55am and saw signs that said they are only doing "curbside" and to text a number. We did that and about 10 minutes later someone called. My daughter, who set the appointment, answered the phone and questions the whole "curbside" thing. "What if I have questions or concerns?" to which she was told the vet will call during the exam. My daughter expressed that "I wish you had told me it was curbside when we set the appointment". Someone will be out to get the dogs soon. 15 minutes later two techs come and take the dogs. 30 minutes later we get a call from the vet to go over things and also to tell my daughter "You need to be nicer to the staff". Are you kidding? So, they bring the dogs out and someone calls to take payment over the phone. I don't give my credit card number over the phone so they say they can come take the card. They do and 15 minutes later they come back with it. I will not be coming here again. Their service and attitude are awful. I get precautions with covid but come on, everyone is wearing a mask and you won't let us in with our dogs? This isn't caution its paranoia.

This is the best veterinary in San Antonio. They care and treat your pet as if it was their own. We had to put our dog down due to her having a heart attack- the vet was up front and gave us all of the options. Stayed with us in the room and made sure we had support. They talked with us and ensured us we made the right decision. We have lived here 2.5 years and have only been to money hungry vets - sad we are moving away and leaving these amazing vets and staff behind.

I would like to start this by saying I should have wrote this review weeks ago. We have had several issues that has kept me from doing so, But hey better late than never. We have taken our babies here 3 times in the past 3 weeks or so. We have 5 labs and 2 small dogs. We had been going to another Vet on this side of town and had the most horrific experience ever, only to find out that they never have the same vet on site, they use rotating vets. NEVER AGAIN!! and I found this clinic and decided to give them a shot. Our first visit was with our oldest girl Hershey she is almost 14 and has had chronic ear issues for many years. after seeing Dr. Ruiz he suggested abaquil along with cytapoint shots monthly. What a difference this combination has made. she is a so much happier. The last couple visits we had scheduled with Stacey through text, which I absolutely LOVE! She is a blessing! as is every staff member at this clinic. I wish I had written down everyone's names. I usually try and do this, but... well life has been crazy lately. My Husband and I would like to Thank everyone in this place for still being our hero's and taking care of our babies during this pandemic. most places are just simply closing until it is over, but ya'll are making sure your staff is safe and healthy which we respect immensely. While also still taking care of our babies. We happened to over hear someone being very rude to one of your staff regarding her appt. running a little longer then she expected it to. We all need to take a deep breath and realize that we are ALL going through this together. Things might get hectic sometimes with all the patients ya'll have but please know that we all greatly appreciate all that you are doing for us and the community and the babies. It is wonderful to get to see the same Vet so he knows all our gang and knows us also. Please stay safe and healthy. You are truly Hero's to all of us!! Thank you Stacey for your endless help to all my questions. =) Laura & Jose Bonillas Hershey, Maggy, Lucky, Daisy, Sassy, Bodie, Jewles =)

Horrible customer service, they cancelled my appointment and didn't even tell me so I showed up and they wouldn't see my pet.

I started going here after having a bad experience at my other clinic. I saw on the website that Dr Martinez is a cat person so i book a general exam for my two cats with her. I'm SO happy i did. With curbside service making it difficult to communicate with the staff at my last clinic, i was pleased that dr Martinez called me while examining my pets and made sure we were on the same page. She was very knowledgeable and personable. I'm very glad i made the switch over to this clinic!

The front staff completely ruins an otherwise good veterinarian staff- and I'm not sure if I'm even wanting to go back. Reason:I had an appointment scheduled for 10:30 today for my dog who is having bad allergies and bad ear infections in both ears that needed to be treated ASAP. (I just scheduled this appointment the day before, mind this as you keep reading). I arrive for my appointment, and I am told that they don't have an appointment for 10:30. I tell them to check their text messages (you can text this office) where they stated yesterday that I do. They check and they're like oh we did text that, not sure why you don't have an appointment, let me see if I can get you in. They also tell me that they meant the appointment for Friday at 10:30, not today (Thursday)- even though the text that was sent on Wednesday said tomorrow. They say there's no appointments available today, but I can drop off my dog and she'll be seen and treated by 12-12:30 the latest since I explained to them that I have work at 2. Okay, that's fine I can manage. I wait 50 minutes in the front for a vet tech to get my dog, and nothing. I have to call, and then ask if they're going to take my dog in. They say that I can drop her off, but she won't be seen till probably around 2-4 pm. I told them I can't do that because of work, and I would need it done by 12-12:30. They say they can't do that and not sure where I got the 12-12:30 time from. I explain to them that my dog being seen by 12-12:30 PM the latest, was the time THEY TOLD ME. Again- annoyed, but still keep my cool. So I tell them I'll just keep my appointment for tomorrow at 10:30 then. They tell me that appointment is unavailable now because they spoke with my wife, and my wife allegedly said she preferred for our dog to be drop off right now instead of the appointment tomorrow, so I lost my appointment. MY WIFE IS AT WORK AND THEY HAVE ONLY BEEN COMMUNICATING WITH ME- so that's a 100% a lie. (I even called my wife shortly after to confirm if she has spoken to them, and she said she hasn't spoken to anyone. Again...Despite this, I still ask if there's anytime they can see my dog tomorrow as it's a serious ear infection that needs to be seen by a vet as soon as possible. They say no, and now my dog can't be seen until next Tuesday. HOW?!?!?!?!? I was lied to several times in the 1.5-2 hours I was sitting in my car in front of the vets office (they're curbside only) about when my dog can be seen. All while my poor dog, is cuddled up to me the whole 1.5-2 hours because she doesn't feel well.I don't understand how any office can operate like this. The only small chance this office has of me going back is because my dog likes her vet. But even that, this experience has left an extremely sour taste.

I've been here ONCE and I can already tell this place will be amazing. Dr. Hale was so friendly and helpful on the phone. Since were mid-pandemic things are crazy and I really appreciate how easy they make appointments... even with being a new patient. So glad we switched to this place!

This was a good clinic. Something has gone wrong with the care and scheduling of the pets. It's always been more expensive but typically good. Dr. Musquiz has been good with the dogs but something has gone wrong with this place. Now there's a leave a message that answers calls. They don't return the calls. Then there is a message that says leave us a text. They don't respond. They have cared for our 3 dogs for several years now. The youngest got sick yesterday. My messages said that. I got a text that said call us so we can get you an appointment. I did. No answer. A recording to leave a message. I even left one message that said just tell me what to do if you can't see him. Nothing. He's had diarrhea for 24 hours. I called a friends vet who ask questions to ensure it was not an emergency since he just started eating a little and gave me instructions until I could get an appointment in the morning with this vet. He's better now but still needs an appointment to ensure it is not an underlying problem. We suspect bad hamburger meat from Walmart. Still, no call to find out any of that. No response. COVID isn't the excuse because months ago they got his heart guard prescription wrong. We got it from a regular pharmacy because they are $20 higher than the pharmacy so they wrote the prescription wrong, replaced it after we took it to them and assured us they would call and correct it. They did not. Now I have another prescription I can't use. Today I have decided not to pay top dollar for mediocre care from people who are indifferent about one of their patients being sick. It is now 2 hours from their closing. So far we see no indication that they even care about the mistakes and failure to respond to a sick call. Nobody is that busy. They were fully staffed every time we were there for their checkups. Five doctors, techs and 3 people at the desk, they don't work weekends and no one could call me back. I can't trust them with the well being of my pets anymore and would never recommend them again.
