I recently visited the Old Navy store on Thursday around 7:30 PM to pick up an online order. There was a clearly marked line for in-store pickup, so I waited there. At that time, the lady at the register was checking out only one customer, and after that, there was no one else in her line. She clearly saw me standing in the pickup line. I was the only one there and instead of helping me, she stood around waiting for more customers to arrive so she could continue regular checkout.
She had every opportunity to either assist me herself or tell me to stand in the regular checkout line while it was still empty. Instead, she allowed the line to fill up. I waited for almost 15 minutes. By the time another associate finally came over to help, the regular checkout line had grown to about eight people. Then, despite knowing how long I had been waiting, I was told to “Hop in the line” by the associate. Employee on the register saw what was happening because she made eye contact. She saw how frustrated I was and still did nothing to fix the situation.
I want to mention that I work in the service industry myself. I understand how busy and stressful it can get. I also did not argue or cause any scene. I quietly stood in the checkout line for another five minutes, but after already waiting so long, I couldn’t stay any longer and had to leave. The staff never even realized I left.
I had to return the next day and when I went back, the pickup process took less than 2 minutes. Clearly, the situation the night before was unnecessary and could have been handled easily if someone had simply acknowledged me or communicated better.
I hope this store can work on better communication, training, and respecting pickup customers’ time moving forward. Also hope that this feedback is taken constructively, as I would like to continue shopping here.

Best location I've been to! Jocilyn helped me find all the right sizes and even educated me on all the current sales! I went in just looking for one pair of shorts and I walked out with $200 worth of clothes and an old navy card! Sweet and caring staff and such a beautifully organized store. I really was pleasantly surprised as my experience at other locations has been nothing more than a complete mess! Great job Northwoods location, will be back soon!

I signed up for an Old Navy credit card and bought so much that they declined me for fraud. Amber, the manager, went ABOVE AND BEYOND THE CALL OF DUTY to make sure we left satisfied and with all of our entitled discounts. She was with us for over thirty minutes as we battled with customer support. She was a joyful help the entire time. We’re very happy with her service.
