I was warned by several people that I shouldn't go with Home Depot for any projects. I definitely learned my lesson. I'll be going elsewhere for all of my household projects from here on out. I had to special order a sliding glass door which took 2 months to arrive to Home Depot. Totally understandable for a special order, I get it! Once it arrived, we had to wait another 3 weeks to have it installed which was ridiculous in my opinion. During this 3 week wait time, there was a lot of confusion in the scheduling/delivering department which caused us some major frustration and buyers remorse. They called my husband at least 3-4 times wanting to deliver the item and leave it in our driveway until the installer could get here several weeks later. Seriously? They finally agreed to deliver to the backyard the day before install was supposed to happen. Major $hitshow again... Delivery guys get here and said we didn't pay for that service. They could only leave it in the driveway. After some begging they agreed to put it in my garage. On the the morning of install- the installer opened up the doors and they slid the WRONG freaking way! Really? We waited this long and you didn't even check the order when it arrived to make sure you got the correct order? If you would've, you also would have realized that the screen was ripped. The installer was apologetic and very kind. After speaking to the GM, he immediately agreed to refund our $2770 + $40 for measurements. We waited for the additional $40 for several days (and a few calls) and it was finally refunded. The GM sounded genuinely apologetic so (stupid us) we decided to give them a second chance. They said they wanted to make it up to us blah blah blah....Several days go by and the GM offers us $150 off and another few months if we want to go through hell with them again. Seriously? All of that headache, frustration and incompetence on your end and you think $150 is enough for us to go through that again? Um...no thank you. I'd rather keep the broken slider we have right now. On another note, before any of this happened, we also had someone from home Depot come out to give us quotes on replacing all of the windows in our house. The guy was creepy and couldn't stop showing us old photos of his life. Weird. Obviously, we went elsewhere. But wanted to point that out for all of you considering doing any projects- you may want to consider other options.

$1400 to install 2 new barn doors but won't finish the job by removing the metal plate & filling in the hole from the door knob. "that is hazardous work that's considered construction." don't you just need a screwdriver and some plastic wood? I am really annoyed they want a company to install the doors, but then want me to pay a handyman to remove the metal plate & fill with plastic wood. I am so confused on how anyone would have their barn doors installed and not have the hole fixed? I have never seen a doorknob plate still in a frame of any newly installed barn doors? Does anybody know what's going on with this? If I have to have a handyman come out to remove the metal plate, I might as well just have him install the doors too get it done all at once. Seems like this would be part of the process. Not sure who I spoke to but he was not the older nice gentleman. He was making me feel like he didn't understand what I was talking about, but kept talking over me talking in a circle about construction. Then says I'm yelling. Well, yelling means to say (something) very loudly especially because you are angry, surprised, or are trying to get someone's attention. I was def trying to get his attention, but I don't think we were on the same page. Just letting y'all know in case you want new doors installed, glad I asked about it, bet everyone expects it to be included.

I've been here a few times and it definitely has most of everything you may need for your home. My mediocre score is because of the employees that work in the aisles and their poor attitude. Several times I've gone here and the staff were not knowledgeable about what I was asking about, didn't even try to help or were just outright rude. Today I was misled where to find a product I was looking for. I know that everyone must be terribly busy, but Customer Service shouldn't suffer. Knowledge of the store and where to find certain products should be part of the training for anyone who works here. I'll still go because they have most anything you could need for your house and it's right down the street. I do want to end on a positive note that I've had very pleasant experiences in the paint department, and during checkouts.

I have always had tremendous success when purchasing from Home Depot. I remodeled all my bathrooms and unfortunately a chemical was used on a sink drain that discolored the drain plate. I contacted the manufacturer BWE faucet to purchase another and they responded promptly and after minimal discussion BWE faucets sent me a new drain at "no cost". They were extremely professional and I am sure not required to do that. There consistent communication throughout that process was appreciated. Thank you Home Depot and BWE faucets!

On a recent afternoon this Home Depot actually had a helpful employee who located a lift and pulled a grill from a top rack.

Recently purchased a Samsung refrigerator on my Home Depot credit card. The refrigerator is on backorder and I will not receive it until late April. But the credit card department sent me a bill already. I called them and asked why would I have to pay a payment without receiving the item yet. They couldn't really answer me and just said that they immediately start processing bills when transactions are done. I have never experienced any other company that does this. Will probably cancel this due to bad customer business practices.

This is my favorite Home Depot! It is in a nice area and has lots of parking. The parking lot was free of clutter, and I felt very safe there. I went in to the store And I was greeted by someone standing there. I was going in to get some paint supplies. They had exactly what I wanted For a decent price. The biggest problem about the store, is it makes me wanna buy a bunch of things while I'm in there. Lol. However, I refrained myself, and I just got the paint supplies like I intended. They do have self checkout And the woman that is normally there is always very helpful to me. I commend her for being an awesome person!! Home Depot, gives you a 10% military discount which is awesome And it is super easy to get. I want you load the app you just scan it on your phone. I recommend this Home Depot and I will be going back many times.

We went to pick up materials to build a foundation for a small shed. Many options were available. Decided to go with gravel, and blocks. 2 flat carts full. Without us even asking, Oscar came out to our truck and helped unload everything! What a life saver, as we're not as young as we used to be! What great customer service! Oh, and fruit trees are in! So we'll be back!

Too bad but it appears that the Home Depot on 281 North has had their telephone disconnected or the phones aren't working. Or, the staff simply refuses to answer the phone. Not sure... I can say that when I walk into the store I see plenty of people in orange vests so probably not a shortage of staff "due to Covid". What I also notice is that many of them carry a phone but maybe those phones don't work either. Seriously, it is very aggravating having to drive to Home Depot when a quick and simple telephone conversation with a real person, not a virtual person, could answer a basic question. Lowes is not that much better but, it is closer.

If I could leave zero stars I would. They are not well staffed and there is no communication between managers. We had selected wooden flooring to be delivered and unfortunately could not be installed. In order to get a refund they need to pick up the flooring. It has been a nightmare to set up. After waiting an hour in person since you can't accomplish anything on the phone with them, they told me a day and time. THEY set the day and time. Said time came and no one shows up. No call, nothing. I call and am told they have no trucks to go get them. (Apparently they rented out the truck instead of holding it and have no idea when it will be returned). So they have no way to reschedule because they only have this one truck. I was livid and needing to talk to a manager and all staff could do was apologize and say oh the manager is dealing with a situation and will call me before the work day ended (10pm). No call, of course, and so the time to return the flooring to get a full refund is running short through no fault of our own, but their incompetence is costing us a lot. Like are they more busy than doctors or nurses during the height of the pandemic or what? That's what it seems like, and I witnessed other customers desperately trying to speak to a manager like myself while there in person. It's irritating to be told something, and even receive a confirmation phone call and nothing! Do not use them for home improvement, because if anything goes wrong you will pay for it.

Gabby at the 281 north location is rude.... She called since I did not designate a pick up person for my online order . I apologized profusely and once she verified her could complete I asked how we could apply our military discount. Once she informed me she would handle again I thanked her sincerely and got a "mmhmm" and she slammed the phone /hung up. Gabby .. sorry you're having a bad day . I don't expect a reciprocated attitude since I am a little over the top bubbly ... but remember you are in customer service . Don't like it? Find another job.

Easy in and out at this location. The employees here are usually pretty helpful and knowledgeable. This is pretty much the only hardware store north of 1604/281. The next closest is Lowes off Blanco.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. My main complaint about home depot is the new military discount app. Ever since home depot changed the way veterans can get their 10% discount it has been frustration and a pain. I was not aware that home depot restricts access to phone use in the store so could not use their app to show my veterans qr code. The staff is aware of this and should have honored my retiree id card. Did I just get my 10% discount knowing that the app doesn't work in the store. Short answer is no!!! From this DAY forward Lowes is getting my business as I know they will honor my discount and it is a lot easier getting the discount as information. Is in their database. I imagine home depot losses alot of money to veterans and 10% discount so my suggestion is to not give it if you do not plan on honoring it!

Great customer service. Very good selection of home products. They generally don't move things around so you can go directly to previous purchased items.
