My experiences are absolutely horrible when needing service on the items they have installed. They eagerly installed heater, pump, and sole pool cleaner. I am currently three weeks waiting for my heater to be serviced. From my experience they are eager to sell and install, but turn it into a horrible experience if you need service on the products they have installed.

They deserve a Ten Star Rating for the Professional Service & Quick response to My problem. Philip came out in 105 degree Heat and fixed my pump. Way to Go guy's..... they deserve a TEN STAR ✨ RATING...

We've used Pinch a Penny for over a year now. We've had consistently good service with a few exceptions. Shout out to Marshall has been taking care of us for quite some time and is extremely knowledgeable and even compelled us to refer Pinch a Penny to neighbors! The last two weeks have been not good, as other technicians have been servicing the pool.In the few incidents in the past we've had pool service tech's who up - do literally nothing and leave. They look around. That's about it. (Anthony to be specific)Last week the pool service manager came with a trainee. The manager is new - 2 months or so into his job. I asked him to vacuum the pool as that is part of our service plan. He did not clean the pool properly or vacuum the pool after I requested. My husband called Phillip (the owner) to let him know, Phillip said he'd take care of the issue. This week, Wednesday is our day of service normally. My husband gets our record of service email from Pinch a Penny about 2pm. Our gate had not been opened, no one had been at our property, much less to our pool area. I walked out just to ensure no service was completed - baskets still full of debris, no chemicals balanced...The technician used someone else's pool as the photo in our record of service. We called twice and left two messages for the owner to call us back. We are awaiting a communication back to resolve this issue.We understand it's a holiday week, that doesn't stop the transactions for my payment coming out of my bank Monday, 7/3.Update: 7/6 - Valerie the owner called first thing this morning and committed to making this situation right. Pool tech Zay was out this afternoon and spent nearly an hour vacuuming, balancing chemicals and doing everything that wasn't done previously. He left the pool sparkling, clean and balanced. I will say, consistently, when there is an issue (this has happened only a handful of times at most) - the ownership is timely, very involved, makes things right, good and fair. I'm happy with the outcome and will continue to use them and recommend to friends and neighbors. Thank you!

Phil is great as well as his team. The reason for the 2 star is for not posting hours correctly on Google for Memorial Day. It is not enough to put it on your front door as by that time I had already driven to there (35 minutes round trip). Should make it a priority to keep Google hours accurate as most everyone uses this anymore to see if a business is open or not.

The wheel on my Polaris pool cleaner snapped off. Had an estimate to rebuild entire unit from another company $450. Stopped by Pinch a Penny and Phil Ott replaced wheel (no other damage) for a fraction of the cost!It's nice to see honest people in business!Thanks, Phil!

Had a great experience with them until I had to speak directly with the owner, Phillip. Look else where for pool services, other companies provide much better customer service and are not difficult to deal with. We will be going somewhere else for our weekly pool service.

Sooo happy with Philip and Valerie’s team. We had such a horrible experience with another pool company a few years ago and unfortunately had to find a new company to replace and redo some of the work we had just had done. The Pinch a Penny team came out to assess, provided me with an estimate, and had completed all the work within about a week of my first call to them. We even got a great deal on the equipment because they had a sale going. I have also been into the store several times to have my water checked and for chemicals and everyone is very nice and helpful. We are very happy and will be using them in the future! This is a company with a lot of integrity. We bought a booster pump from them and had them install it for us. The pump developed a small leak and the company stood behind their product and work and agreed to take care of it. Some other companies would have given us the runaround.

The tech service provided by this Pinch a Penny location has been outstanding!! Earlier this summer, our main filter pump broke. There was a shortage of pumps at the time, but Pinch a Penny had the pump we needed in stock - at a very competitive price - and was able to come and install it right away. They also provided the paperwork needed to get a $450 rebate from CPS. The pump is working perfectly!And last week, a separate pump for our waterfall stopped working. Another company told us we would have to replace the whole motor, but when I spoke Phillip at Pinch a Penny he let us know that it was likely just the capacitor and a much easier (and cheaper) fix. Zach came out this morning, quickly replaced the capacitor, and now the waterfall is working perfectly again. Have been so impressed with the tech service at Pinch a Penny and this will be my go to place moving forward for our pool needs. Highly recommend!

The showroom is beautiful. I just wish the manager or owner would be less shy about coming outside the office to assist customers. I called ahead and then came with part in hand. I was told they did not have the part and should visit a competitor instead. Usually when that happens the business will call to confirm the part is available. This did not happen.

Don’t allow them to install your pump if you buy it from them. They installed my brand new pump sloppily. Instead of giving me the option to reposition a tube, they just threw the new pump on some PVC and now it’s warping. I know they wouldn’t do this on their own personal pool equipment. If you buy from them, get a professional pool craftsman to install it your expensive equipment. They just care about a quick sell and not quality work.

Phil and Valerie are wonderful! We've been going to them for years for chemicals and occasional repairs and cleaning. I had an unscheduled request for service the other day; they had a tech in the neighborhood, so they sent him to check on my system. Issue resolved. He was here within an hour. (They cannot always do this, but it sure made my day!!) Zach is always on time and knows exactly what needs to be done. Totally recommend!!!
