Lady was super nice. The man on the other hand was rude to a kid that asked about a gaming system. He gave a snappy/sarcastic answer back telling the kid something along the lines of “What Nintendo 3D are you asking about? That’s like going into a Ford dealership and asking about a Ford truck…. Like what ford are you looking for?” All cause of the kid not being specific…. Sir pipe down and take a shower.

Amazing place. The classic "mom & pop" shop. Super nice owners and very knowledgeable with all things retro. Shop is PACKED with everything you could hope to find.

Great experience every time I stop in. I'm not a collector but a seller rather. They always have helpful info since I'm not from San Antonio and if they don't buy it they send me to the people that will. Prices are always fair and they explain why they value what you're selling at that price so there is absolute transparency. Plus they have the cutest little dog too.

I absolutely love this place. Both owners have tons of information on everything. I like that prices aren’t priced. Each game is taken for its condition and nostalgic value. How crisp the quality of the game and even its packaging. I bought UNOPENED & STILL WRAPPED in plastic games here. I bought old records for my grandmother. She really loves her CDs they ordered for me and records she can listen to at home. These tag team Duo of owners are almost a part of San Antonio. I appreciate them and their business they run. Anyone wanna get beat in Need For Speed 2????

This is Such a cool little gem of a store! Saw an Instagram post about it and decided to take my bf here as a Valentines surprise cause he loves retro games/consoles and I knew he'd love to at least look around the store as much as I was looking forward to it.This place is absolutely bursting at the seams with games, specializing in retro long-forgotten consoles/games. Such as Atari, Coleco Vision, Commodore 64, ALL things Nintendo from the Super Famicom up to the newer consoles/handhelds, Sega and Playstation 1-4, a huge selection of games for every system imaginable plus accessories, paraphernalia and many in-box rarities. The owner AJ is super knowledgeable and was happy to chat with us in-between customers and his wife Raven was super friendly and helped us get checked out. Some reviews said that this store is over priced, both my bf and I heartily Disagree with this! The prices were all very fair considering the condition and rarity of the many items available. If there's something they miraculously don't have in stock, there's a good chance that AJ can figure out a way to get it for you and have it sent to the store for pick up.If you're a new or old game nerd, especially if you have fond memories of some childhood favorites that you'd like to play again, without spending an arm and a leg on it like you would if you bought it from a convention, then we both highly recommend you at least pop your head in and have a good look around. We're about $500 lighter but 500x times happier than when we walked in!! ☺️Thank you AJ and Raven, we look forward to seeing you both again, and I can't wait to get my hands on that Viva Piñata game again!!

They fixed my ps4,put a new fan in it and cleaned out 11 years worth of dustbunnys and dander inside of it and they did it at a very reasonable price and time.would recommend to anyone needing a system repaired.

All the 1 and 2 star reviews are 100% accurate. Bad service, cramped area with very minimal or no wheelchair access, looked more like a garage from a hoarder home, nothing priced 100% had to ask at the counter for all the nintendo NES & SNES stuff I was looking for, not able to browse without the owner telling "no touching" while staring at you, and WAAAY OVERPRICED games and gaming items. Avoid this place like the plague. Game Over video games in San Antonio is a much better place to take your business and time. Like with all the reviews, if I could give this place a zero, I would.

1.i got a ps1 for sixty bucks2. Games are,ten the most expensive I got ads game for 20 bucks3. Owner is nice unlike all the other 1 star reviews4. While yah some of the consoles are 120-500 there still cheaper than game over video games

Owner was incredibly rude and condescending,The games were priced at 2-3x the average value compared to other retro/vintage game stores in SAThe place is full of great stock but it is incredibly cramped, its essentially a hoarders dream with how little space there is to walk, especially with small items stacked in walkways and entrancesI would avoid this place like the plague as friends and family of mine have also had terrible experiences at this place as well!

awesome place, went here a while back and got upwards of 20 cds and 3 vinyl records for about 70 bucks, awesome deal. (got best of blur and ratm’s renegades, my favorites!) spent a good amount of time here just scrolling through shelves, had some great conversation :) it was great getting to know how this place came to be, i hope to go back soon enough. it’s pretty crowded so gotta catch them when it’s not busy, but it’s totally worth spending a nice afternoon at.

Came here for a specific video game for someone, and had no idea what I was looking for. The owners were very kind and made me feel comfortable with all my questions. 10/10 recommend this business!

One of the largest collections of retro videogames I have ever seen. However, items are way over priced. Was quoted $100 on a loose game with no case or manual I can find on Ebay for $23. The shop is small with most games behind a counter that you can’t see. No prices on items and owner seemed to pull them out of his head when asked rather than looking at a computer as most places I have been to do. He mentioned this is the stuff he is willing to sell and would not stop talking about all the “better” items he has at home and won’t sell. Spend your time and money elsewhere.
