☆☆ REVIEW - READ. IT WILL SAVE YOU TIME AND MONEY
I wanted to take some time out of my day and share my experience with this Public Storage provider. I initially decided to store and rent a 10' x 15' storage unit back in March of 2023 for $126 a month with mandatory insurance required. Over the span of a 1 year and 9 months my rent steadily increased 4x's to more than double my inital rental amount (more than 100% increase)! Additionally, during my time visiting the storage facility there were some items that concerned me, which I covered in the "CONs" section below.
Needless to say, I felt I was getting ripped off and price gouged and decided to move out on Veteran's Day. I decided to rent a U-Haul truck off of 1604 and Braun and also decided to rent a 10' x 15' unit from this storage facility (for $199 with climate control) too. I spoke to the owner, Jennifer, at the U-Haul Moving & Storage of Helotes about their price increase policy and they insured me that they wouldn't raise the rent until the 5 year mark (in which it would be less than $10). Additionally, my first month rent would be free and a lock would also be provided. This offer helped smooth the transition from one storage unit to another and help covered my rental truck (and gas). Additionally, this U-Haul storage facility has available personnel on-site during their operational hours.
I'm hoping my experience and transparent review helps someone make an educated and financial decision. Additionally, I do hope that the owners at this Public Storage facility will reflect on their business and pricing practices. I don't mind steady and fair price increases, but the way you are doing business is unethical and honestly price gouging your customers. As retired Veteran, I would have liked to enjoy this holiday, but instead I was busy clearing out my storage unit. Do better.

I would give a zero if I could please do not rent these units I promise you will regret it the elevator is constantly broken they have two and I just left with both of them being broken there was no way to access my belongings and no one was at the front desk even though it's only 3:00 p.m. which is crazy someone should be there technically it's open but of course they left so now I'm here not able to access my belongings also the lady informed me at the front desk that they do raise their rates every four to six months which is ridiculous be ready to pay triple the rate.

i had reserved a 15ft storage for $53 my first month & when i got there they literally said they dont have my space that i had literally reserved. like what is the point of reserving a space then??? & then they literally doubled my price??♀️ they didnt even try to make an acception, they didnt even OFFER to give me a discount. im really irritated with this place. i literally paid like about $100 instead of the $53 like they said.
just ridiculous. i usually only leave reviews for places i really like to put good out there in the world but they literally told me in person to leave a review on google, they emailed me, & they KEEP texting me to leave one. so here’s my experience with them.
