Slowest RBFCU branch in the state. Front desk is always understaffed. Each customer transaction takes approximately fifteen minutes at the minimum. Never seen any banking branch this slow. Not sure if it's procedural or lack of training.
If you are in a rush, do not come to this branch.

I have alot of problems with this credit union and its starting to get real old. I suggest finding another credit union before putting your money in this one. I have the option to freeze and unfreeze my card when I want. I go to unfreeze at 7pm. .can't unfreeze have member services when they open in the morning. Lol ok. That's why I have a different credit union I use. I only use this trash for subscriptions which I am going to change...still trash lmao 9/2/25 atms that don't take cash and slow service

9 times out of 10 the ATMS are either not working or dont accept cash deposits(or cant even give cash) . This is so funny considering they just sent out a marketing email about how their ATMS are 24/7 now accepting cash deposits. Pointless to have them at all.

One of the ATMs here just stole $85 from me. I stopped by to deposit some cash and after putting in the cash it asked if I needed more time. I said no and it just gave me back my card and that was it. No receipt, no deposit, no money.
I have multiple accounts here including my business account and I'm not above moving them over $85. I'm not doing business with a bank that won't fix something like this.
Stay away from these ATMs. They're junk.

Terrible customer service in the drive thru today. I had been waiting for some time after pressing “call teller” button. No one ever came on to say “I’ll be right with you” or acknowledge that my call was received. I pressed it again…. Waited for a few minutes. I hear the tellers on the other lanes saying “ I apologize for the wait” etc… so then I’m wondering if my call teller button is not working. So I hold it down. Someone comes on and says “hi” with an annoyed tone in her voice. Proceed to tell her oh hi I didn’t know if you had heard me calling so I held it down. There was no response to that. I then asked her if they can tell me if the check I have will clear because it is also a RBFCU check and I just didn’t want it to overdraft the person who wrote it to me. She said we can’t tell you that, we can tell you if the check is negotiable. (Same thing). Annoyed. All the while my 2 year old is In the car being extremely patient. Wait time to finish 20 minutes.

I’ve been a member for only a couple of months now everything’s been great but today I Went down to the branch to deposit extra cash & coins I had I got the large male teller twice so rude very dismissive literally gonna cancel my account after this

9:30 am Monday morning: only 2 drive-thru tellers are open (after 2 bad experiences I’m not even trying to use them - in the past they were very slow and inefficient, long lines are proving that nothing has changed in their service); one ATM has a line of 4 cars, another one is showing a Windows screen and asking to restart.
Since this is the only location nearby I cannot make a cash deposit and have to go to work. This is the first time my account was overdrawn because of the automatic payment I didn’t expect to go through earlier, all I wanted is to put money on my account and couldn’t do it in a quick and efficient manner. For this few negative cents the bank is going to charge me a large dollar amount, but I cannot charge the bank any fees by making my day uncomfortable and being unreliable when I needed the convenience. Going to stop supporting this business and keep other local bank cards. RBFCU has been nothing but problematic for me.

Tried to open a business account today for my business because the builder has an account here and I want to make it easier to deposit large checks from them. The online lady who helped me was very rude, dry in humor and very difficult to deal with. The scanner was broken so I couldn’t submit the id so they moved us to another room where the scanner worked. She wanted my wife and I to first open savings accounts individually even though we are obviously married and both are names are on the business documents. However she said we could open a joint business account. I didn’t understand that logic but who am I except just another guy. So we proceeded. Then she tells me that because my EIN lists the business name twice and the SOS document only list it once that I would need to contact the IRS to change the name on my EIN. Crazy because I have other accounts from other banks using these documents with no problem. To me it felt like they are a “NO” bank with poor customer service. My business isn’t huge but we do 2M per year. I’ll not waste my time opening an account here because I guarantee if this is my first experience it won’t be the last that’s similar. Life is too short to give my money to rude and difficult banks. Thanks anyway. DONE

I've walked into the RBFCU at Bandera and 1604 at 12:54 pm. to open an account since I've heard good things about them, and the lady up front told me "unfortunately we just took our last appointment today." I can't believe this. It's not even 1pm, and they are not able to help. I'm retired military and moved less than two miles from them. If they don't have enough staff, maybe they are not as strong financial institution as I thought they were.

I've been a customer for about 8 years, and have loved their service. I used them to refinance my mortgage, and had a great experience with them. The shared branching is awesome when im traveling and need to get ATM access. Kudos for doing great by your customers.
