Try any other bank before trying this one. Customer service is not their focus. They have more negative reviews than positive reviews for a reason. I’ve had an unexplained higher credit card balance. I asked for a statement and their best answer is to wait and see if it falls off. It didn’t. Everyone I spoke with at 3 locations gives me a different reason but can’t show me anything. Dealing with a bank that can’t show you the numbers is not good business.

Customer service is on the decline at this bank. It seems like one of the hiring qualifications here is to be unprofessional and unethical. I am needing to get in contact with a supervisor but keep getting the run around. Keep in mind that their customer service is a reoccurring complain on their reviews.

Have been with RCFCU since 1980 when they were SATelephoneCU. I have never had a bad experience, and friendly tellers and staff. No Bank is perfect but I give them 10 out of 10!

I went thru the process of an auto loan with Jazzlyn Casas who took my info called me back promptly for approval and guided me thru the process with dealer flawlessly she made the experience very easy I commend her on her personable skills and is a great asset to the loan department and bank u all need more people like her she’s awesome

My deceased sister's account with RC was frozen by someone fraudently calling in as her husband. I am very upset that they did not require proof of her death nor did they ask for the person to come in person with picture ID. I have yet to talk to anyone from RC, I have only talked to the call center. The agent told me that anyone can call in and freeze the account and that eventually the customer would call when they would try to use their card. I could not believe what I was hearing! RC has a terrible policy or the call center agents are improperly trained. I have no idea what they are thinking! So please be aware that anyone can freeze your account without ever walking into the bank.

Unfortunately this credit union charges you $25 if you go over 6 transfers in a month on your savings account. In looking at other banks some allow more than 6 transfers and their fee is considerably lower than $25. This is more than what some people make in an hour. I understand it is imposed by the fed however the bank or credit union still has the right to increase/decrease the transfer limit and fees. I am in the process of looking for another bank to service my needs as RCFCU has truly disappointed me by imposing such a high fee and not willing to issue a courtesy adjustment or lowering the fee after being a 20 year member and paying off almost 30k+ in auto & personal loans. I thought credit unions were created for better customer service and lower fees. What a joke!I did message member services and I was only told that the fee was disclosed when I opened the account (20+ YEARS AGO). There was no mention of valuing my service just very cold, cut and dry. It is very upsetting that a company would be completely fine with loosing a customer over $25FYI - Under the revision to Regulation D announced in 2020, the Fed has loosened requirements for how banks treat savings deposits. Instead of limiting bank customers to six convenient transfers or withdrawals from a savings or money market account per month, Fed rules now allow for unlimited transfers or withdrawals

I opened an account on their new location 3014 Rivas. Their office is inside The Neighborhood Place. The reason open an account with this credit union was because they do not have high account fees like my former bank, who charged me $29 every month. Both ladies who were their treated me with respect. Both ladies had excellent active listening skills. if you are looking for a credit union to help grow financially then please give RCFCU a try. The customer service has been outstanding. I have been with several local banks and credit unions and RCFCU has given me more opportunities to get personal and business loans. During my hardship of 2019 while other banks denied my loan RCFCU took a chance on me and gave me the loan i so desperately needed. RCFCU is a small credit union with very knowledgeable staff, that care about their clients. Give them a chance to prove what I’m talking about.

It's such a great Credit Union! So grateful I found them! Liz was so kind and easy to work with. Opened a checking account with no fees! They also offer great loans too!

Worse place ever they put my money in someone else’s account and then shorted me a on a withdrawal, on top of that just not very professional. Will be going to a different bank. 0 zero stars would not recommend

River City is not a convenient bank to be in because, they are scarce in their bank buildings! Especially a drive-thru. I think there is only one drive thru available but all the way down town which is soooo inconvenient for us. Im serious about leaving them because they also have the worst telephone inquires, take long to answer you. I really like the Staff at River City at H.E.B. on Huebner Rd. But it doesn't have a drive thru and Senior Citizens who can't walk too far or feel weak or anyone with a walking injury really need a drive thru service with River City. The far West side needs a River City bank but they haven't made an effort to get one on Culebra Road. There's an empty bank sitting there by 1604 doing NOTHING!!
