I LOVE this place. Used to have to have to go all the way to Austin to get basic stuff. I have used their studio several times and their kilns. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and even bilingual lol! There’s a big catalog to choose from but sometimes I like to order online just to avoid buying everything on site. Professional Artists: Avoid Roadrunner Ceramics Unless You’re Okay with Losing Your Work
I was using Roadrunner Ceramics for firings only, bringing in finished work from my home studio. It’s been a steady decline. The last several batches have come back damaged, broken, or ruined. And every single time, they deflect blame. No matter how clear and specific the instructions, verbally and in writing, they ignore them, then try to gaslight me like it was something I did.
What really crosses the line is how they hide the damage. They wrap broken pieces up like everything’s fine, act like nothing’s wrong, and hand them off without a word. They don’t let you inspect your pieces before you leave. You have to take everything out to the parking lot, unwrap it all yourself, and that’s when you find out they destroyed something you spent weeks creating.
They never acknowledge it. No accountability, no offer to make it right, just silence and blame.
This place is fine if you’re a hobbyist who doesn’t care about the outcome. But if you’re a working artist, if your pieces matter, don’t trust them. I’ve lost too much time, too much effort, and too much work here.
I’m heartbroken, they’re not worth dealing with, and I’m done.

Love this place for all our ceramic needs. I am a newbie and the staff there is very knowledgeable and super helpful. The young gentleman that helped was even bilingual and communicated with me in Spanish. I definitely trust them with my questions. They even have classes.

I always have questions, and they always take the time to explain things to me and make product recommendations for whatever I’m trying to accomplish.
