Robot Monster Guitars is a great, centrally located, independently owned shop in San Antonio with a cool vibe and great ambience. It is a unique place worth a visit, described as a gem and a one-stop shop for musical equipment. The shop has an amazing and very interesting collection of used guitars, amps, pedals, and other gear, with a very good selection for the punk, the metal head, and the indie crooner. It also has an interesting collection of used records, CDs, and tapes. The gear is fairly priced and at great prices, with staff that can haggle a deal under certain conditions. The staff provides awesome customer service and is knowledgeable, super cool, professional, helpful, and welcoming. They are willing to take on challenging repair jobs that other places decline, keeping customers in the loop throughout the process. They perform custom fixes and work with specialists to bring equipment back to good, perfect condition. The shop is a fun place to visit and shop from, where you might find something you can't find online or at a big box store.
Been going here since they first opened over off of woodlawn, the staff has always been so welcoming, ready to help, and always so fun to talk to. Good vibes every time I go, not to mention more than half my collection of guitars, pedals and swords has come from here! Easily the coolest place in SA

The guy working there was very helpful and made good recommendations for pedals in a budget price range without seeming judgmental. He was very amicable and gave some good life advice as well.
