I just wanted to share the DeZavala/I10 SSFCU experience I had with Tyler Horton in 9/26/2023. I have been a Member of SSFCU since 1968 and have met with several of your Team Members over the years. Tyler was extremely helpful, pleasant and knowledgeable in assisting me and answering questions I had. As a result, I opened both a CD and Money Market Account. I have further business to address and will definitely ask for Tyler each time!!! It’s not often you receive this kind of service these days and I just want to let you know how blessed you are to have him on your Team!

Worst experience ever! The insurance agent didn't want to waste his time going any further with an insurance quote. The 800 number that previously said they would return a call within minutes never even bothered calling back either. Our valuable time was wasted waiting for a service we never received.

i have been with this bank for over 20 years! I have over 10+ accounts with them, i have worked with tom, meleah, isaac, valerie @ de zavala and they are always there when i need help, melina on the mortgage team is also amazing, in business and in life you need a bank that is there like a silent partner with backup and resources and SSFCU has always been there!

Alberto Lozano is doing a great job. I showed up late in the day, and needed more than one account created after a computer scammer had seen my account numbers. He took all the time he needed, was very patient and stayed overtime helping me. I think we were among the last to leave that day. Since then he has helped to smooth out other related issues.I have been a customer for over 20 years and always been treated courteously and respectfully. Even this time, in spite of my mistake with the scammer, their patience has been wonderful.I was helped again today by Rubi Rodriguez, who saw there were issues that needed extra time and she gladly took that time with me. And then Ruby at Loss and Stolen answered questions when the gentleman with whom I had been working was off today.They work great as a team, which takes a lot of effort. I applaud them for that effort.

The bank made a, (I presume computer generated) snafu with a substantial amount of money, after an initial rebuff at front desk, manager Edward did an excellent job of resolving the problem. Appreciated there ability to resolve the issue.

I dread going to Security Service. It seems to always takes a long time to get into someone's office and whatever I want to do seems to take a long time. This time we arrived at SSFCU at 12:45 and finished about 2:30. I think the biggest problem is poor systems. For example, we bought new CDs and wanted to name charitable institutions as alternate beneficiaries. The tax IDs for those "Non-human" beneficiaries could not be entered through the system. We had to write the IDs onto the form. We also wrote in the names of those beneficiaries because filling out the necessary forms to enter them through the SSFCU system would have taken even longer.

I am always pleased with Security Service and will never go anywhere else. We use a special employee to handle our paperwork with the exception of deposits. Joseph Franco. We need a 10 star rating. Thank you SS

If zero stars were an option I would put that, or a negative number. This credit union it the worst I have ever worked with.In early December, 2022, I bought a vehicle in San Antonio. I went ahead and financed a portion through the dealership who used this credit union becuase my credit union was already closed.I completed all of the paperwork, wrote a check, and opened the account. I did not receive any correspondence from them forover 2 weeks. I had to look at my initial paperwork to find any information on the account. I was able to get logged in using that information. Once I logged in I began receiving emails from them. I transferred the loan to my credit union at the beginning of January. It wasn't until it was transferred that I recevied any mail from the credit union. What i recevied was an actual coupon book to attach with a check and mail to them for the payments. Seriously? I guess some people still use those, but I have not had one of those since the late 90's.I had a credit balance and wanted to transfer that to my current credit union. The process for doing this is pretty standard, but they are so slow. When they say 3-5 days, expect 5. It took a week to link the account and have it verified. I received an email from SSFCU telling me my account was no verified and I could transfer funds. I logged in to make that transfer and even though it was "verified" the system would not allow me to do it. I called the #800 to find out why. I was on hold for 20 minutes before anyone answered. The person I spoke with was friendly but could not figure out why it would not transfer as everything on her end looked fine. After 10 minutes, she transferred me to another department. I was on hold for another 10+ minutes and eventually hung up.I tried again the following day to make the transfer, it wouldn't go. I called again but the wait time was too long and I hung up again. I then decided to send an email through the secure message system. It was more than a day to receive a response - which said I had to have the account for 60 days before I could transfer funds. That is a bunch of garbage. I should have just set up from my credit union and pulled the funds. It would have been quicker.This credit union is super slow, their staff doesn't know what the rules are, they delay every change they can. Their interest rates are too high for loans, and too low for cash.If you use thie credit union, just understand what you are up against. I was unable to see a single positive review for this credit union. I am surprised they are still in business.
