My partner & I came to this branch last Thursday to have me added to the account. Destiny was extremely helpful & knowledgeable! She advised us on what we should o to get our finances in order so when we decide to refinance our car loan it'll help us out in the long run. On top of the outstanding service that was provided she was so kind & patient with our children. She even let my toddler color! Thanks so much Destiny you are so amazing!!

I went in Saturday Sept 9, 2023 with my elderly father to resolve some issues for him. Alan Barragan helped us out. Alan was professional and patient and help resolves all our issues. Definitely provided a level of service you don't often see anymore at financial institutions

Sabrina was extremely kind & knowledgeable of the products. I signed up and even got additional information about the vehicle warranty coverage package. Thank you Sabrina for being respectful and such an asset to your company!
I will see you on my next trip to the bank! ???

So I go through the drive-thru I have a torn $20 bill. So instead of giving me a new $20 bill the cashier laughs tapes my old one and gives my old one back. I could have done that at home myself. Hello McFly

Makes sense why there are do many poor or mediocre reviews. Loan officer asked for tons of info and promised 5 pct down. Finally get closed to closing, oh wait you need 10 pct down and we can't take all your seller concessions. Complete waste of time. Hoping I can actually close on this property. This place sucks. Looking for a good experience, not getting it.

The only credit union that I know of that has both branches in Utah and Colorado also. Why settle for a credit union with Branches in only one State. The only suggestion join be part of the Allpoint atm network. Allpoint has atms in both drug stores and grocery stores and gas stations. Allpoint atm network then our members would have everything

I'd give this credit union negative stars if I could. I feel so bad. After speaking SSFCU about their credit card consolidation loan program, I encouraged my good friend to apply to consolidate approximately 12K in credit card debt. He has a credit score of about 640, along with an excellent auto loan payment history for the past several years with the credit union. He has no late payments, only a high utilization rate. After speaking with a representative from the credit union about his chances for approval, I was ultimately convinced he would get approved. Even with only a 29% DTI (Debt to income ratio) and years of a loyalty to this credit union, they still denied him. He was already skeptical to begin with, but he reluctantly decided to follow my advice. In response to the denial, we asked the credit union to reconsider all of these factors in a well-prepared "request for reconsideration." After taking approximately a month to review his reconsideration request, they still denied him. After the second denial, his view of the entire credit system is just so pessimistic now. Once again, I feel so bad after leading him down this path. So what I've come to realize is this. After reviewing everything and talking with him, he was about 5-10 points below the required minimum score for the loan, even though he had all of these positive factors. What a crock. Good people, I encourage you all to look elsewhere for your financing needs. SSFCU simply sucks. This credit union cares little to nothing about personal circumstances. They could have cared less about his good payment history and his long relationship with him. With SSFCU, it's all about dollars and cents. You may as well go to a bank and take your chances. This credit union is the worst I've ever seen. The way they treated him, the lack of a response, the lack of any personalized consideration to his circumstances were the biggest disappointments. I've encouraged him to move on entirely from SSFCU. I hope you consider all of these things before conducting any business with them

My uncle recently passed away and had his monetary assets in 8 different credit unions and one bank (Chase). I am a co-trustee and responsible for the distribution of these assets. Each credit union has been wonderful to work with while trying to settle my uncle's trust...all that is except Security Service! They were one of the first credit unions I contacted when this process began. Noone has ever called me back to give me a status/update report. I called several times the first week and was told that they were reviewing the documents. This week, I have called every day and continued to get the same run around until yesterday when they informed me (after I called them) that they needed yet another form which our attorney provided and still, it was not good enough. They did offer to speak to our attorney for us, but it would be at the expense of the trust, not Security Service. In the meantime the other 7 CUs have closed out my uncle's account and wired the money to his trust account at Chase Bank so that it can be distributed to the beneficiaries. Currently, I am sitting and waiting for an email that was promised to me some time ago informing me of exactly what needs to be provided other than the 15 page trust document, death certificate, certificate of trust, photo IDs, and the IRS EIN letter which I already provided. This is ridiculous!!

Wanda approved me for a credit card and said just submit your documents. So I ran around to submit every document she requested just for her to turn around and decline me once I submitted everything she asked proving everything I put on my application AFTER APPROVING ME for $5000 there are much better credit unions out there such as RBFCU or Navy Federal. This is by the worst experience with a credit union I have had. Going to close my account tomorrow steer clear they suck.

I was out of town, no access to internet, when my account had been hacked. The perpetrators cleaned me out & had multiple declines. I was never notified & was unaware until I tried to use my card. When I notified SSFCU & asked why I never received any text, or alert (my card was flagged a few months prior when I purchased a meal near my home), I was told alerts were based on algorithms, not my spending habits (wow, just wow). I was also told it would take 10 business days to determine if it was truly fraud & return my money. I also asked if the new card would have a new expiration (mine expires in 2 months). After 2 weeks of no access to my account, my new card arrived, same expiration. Now I have another 2 weeks with no access to my account. I'm 4 hours away from the closest branch. Before I left my home state I was told shared branches had all the same services. This isn't true at all. If you're not going to protect my funds from others, just from me, why bother?

I would give a 0 if I could...now, part of this is on me, insofar as I've been attracted repeatedly by the low rates...and this said, I kick myself every single time because customer service is horrific. Honestly, it's a complete s*&t show...long wait times, circular reasoning and transfers...I am truly astonished as to just how bad the process is. Year...after year...at this point, I'd rather pay a higher rate on a loan that suffer the brain damage that comes from dealing with them.
