The Texas Air Museum-Stinson Chapter is a must-visit gem and a very interesting museum full of history. Established in 1999, it is an extensive museum dedicated to preserving the heritage of civilian and military aviation. The exhibits feature a great mix of aircraft, artifacts, and one-of-a-kind collectibles, with many things to see including antique planes and well-documented history. While some displays are a little aged, it is well worth a visit. Visitors can enjoy compelling exhibits, historic artifacts, and immersive displays, including films. The staff and tour guides are very helpful, nice, incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and very informed. They love what they do and are happy to share the background behind each piece, making the experience feel personal. The museum also participates in the Harvest Host program, allowing RV stays. It is a perfect place for aviation enthusiasts, families, or anyone who loves learning, offering an amazing experience with tons of interesting history about the beginnings of military air power and pioneers like the Stinson family. It is absolutely worth the visit for a fun and unforgettable one or two hours.
