Staff is always friendly even when the line is crazy long. I rarely change my order and the taste it is consistent, making my start of the day great.

A good starbucks, usual selection of most common drinks and snacks. Always busy because of students. Fast service.

Location is perfect for those who attend or work at the Health Science Center or University Hospital or those who use the library. Unfortunately, tepid eggnog latte equals disappointment. Who serves a lukewarm "hot" coffee drink?

Great service at this location, did an amazing job of both listening and delivering the goods.

Every single barista I've ever encountered at this location has gone above and beyond to be not just kind but compassionate. I often work really early mornings, so if I want any semblance of caffeine from a store, it needs to be quite early. I often come in expecting people to be a bit grumpy due to the crack-of-dawn hours I run, but instead I'm always greeted here with a smile, a compliment, or a lovely greeting. It makes my day instead of breaking it. Orders have always been timely and efficient. Sometimes, the baristas on duty even let me know the best time to order certain drinks or treats based on the traffic flow. I feel very fortunate to be able to frequent and dine here. Walking in during the afternoon, there is a wonderful hush that falls around the area - perfect for those looking for a quiet study. Definitely an oasis in the hot summer months. More than your typical Starbucks. Lovely ambiance!

Very attentive employees eager to please. I ordered an egg, ham, and cheese sandwich and before I could they could tell them I do not need it warmed up they were already getting started.

This location is lightly staffed, but they do a good job. Decided to try their new S'mores Frappuccino. I needed a caffeine fix without the heat. It was a good flavor, but still more a fan of the Caramel Ribbon Crunch. But it definitely hit the spot. Might just make it the rest of the work day.

Stopped by this location at 6am, you would think in the medical center where people come in early the coffee would be hot. Not so on this morning. After them messing up my order ( it was just a protein box and coffee) I had to ask for my money back for the lukewarm coffee. Because I had hit the time wall. At 6am it shouldn't take 10 min for coffee

Inefficient Starbucks run at low standards at the hands of Aramark. Slow lines followed by inconsistent coffee. Not exactly the employees fault. They seem to be understaffed & overworked.

The UT Health Science Center at San Antonio now has a Starbucks within the facility (although there is one across the street on Medical). It's located in the in the School of Medicine in the lecture hall commons, and is pretty convenient, especially for those studying at the library or those who don't want to venture off-campus. I like it because it's now easier for me to get snacks without leaving school. Food/Beverages: The standard menu of Starbucks beverages and pastries are available. Also, a lot of the hot food (paninis, oatmeal, etc) are also offered; however, the cold sandwiches, cheese/nut/fruit packets aren't sold. Service: The staff members are really nice and do a good job of keeping things quick and friendly. Ambiance: Since this isn't a stand-alone Starbucks, don't expect chairs and tables; however, there are plenty of those around the campus. The area is clean and can get busy in the morning or between classes. It's not open on weekends, which is a big bummer because a lot of students do their studying at school during that time, esp during exams, but maybe that will be something included in the future. Pricing: Standard Starbucks pricing. (If you're looking for a more economical cup of joe or tea, I'd check out the express kiosk near the main doors... the line may also be a lot shorter) Hours Monday-Thursday: 7:00am-4:30pm Friday: 7:00am-4:00pm Saturday & Sunday: Closed Note: You can't use online deals / mailed gifts from the rewards program - have to go to a freestanding Starbucks for that!

Now, when I heard a Starbucks was going to be built on our UTHSCSA campus, I was mostly happy because I love Starbucks, I go there as often as I can. But I was also slightly disappointed because I knew I would probably spend a majority of paycheck here too. ;) The closest Starbucks to the UTHSCSA is the one at Medical/Wurzbach. Anyone who lives or works here knows that, that Starbucks is a freaking nightmare, especially the drive-thru, in the mornings before everyone goes to work and school. I rarely ever went to Starbucks, only if I left work early when I knew it wouldn't be packed. So, when I found out a Starbucks would be built only a few steps away from my office, I have to say I was over the moon. This Starbucks isn't like all the rest of them. There is no sitting area specificially designated FOR starbucks. There is sitting areas around, but those are for people eating lunch/studying/etc... as Amy Y posted before me, most of the hot sandwiches and breakfast dishes are served just like at other Starbucks, but there is no lunch items, like cheese platters, cold sandwiches, etc. All-in-all, this Starbucks is my favorite, but then again I'm not one to sit around and drink my coffee there, I usually take it and go. The ladies are always welcoming and friendly. It's kind of embarassing because I've gone there so much that they know what I have to drink. :/ It's never really busy because it's not in a spot where you can mingle around it, which I really enjoy.
