I have a leak in my roof due to an issue with installation of solar panels. I called and reported this to ADT solar who sent out a crew that week to evaluate it. They did a patch job and stated their roofing division would need to come fix as well as someone would need to come fix the interior wall damage from the water that had leaked inside the house. This was 7 weeks ago. I have called multiple times and have been told it would be pushed to a supervisor as well as "this is in scheduling." I have heard nothing back about when a contractor could come take care of the issue. Meanwhile I still have a large water stain on an interior wall with unknown damage behind it as well as a patched roof with unknown lifespan. The interior scheduling processes need work. This may be amended if it gets done quickly and appropriately without issue but as of now I am very frustrated with how a roof leak with interior damage is being dealt with.UPDATE: It has been 3 weeks since this review and greater than 6 weeks from when this supposedly went to scheduling with the contractor (which was the timeframe I am told the contractor should get back to me within). I have just received a message that they reviewed the complaint and do not feel it is a solar installation issue despite originally being told it was reviewed and they would send a contractor out to fix it. I have had 2 roofing contractors out separate from ADT Solar who both stated this is an issue from the solar installation. The inadequacies of ADT Solar have just piled up and I would not recommend this company. I will be sure to spread amongst friends and family to stay away from ADT Solar for any Solar Energy needs.

So apparently ADT Solar has bought out Solar Pro with whom I had my original agreement. Not only they didn't notify me about this change but they are not honoring the agreement Solar Pro made with me and do not keep the promises that were made upon my signing the contract. The customer service at ADT Solar is extremely slow and half of them have attitude. 2 of my 16 panels quit working, the company "contacted" one of their contractors to come and fix it and said "wait for the call from them to schedule your repair/installation". It's been over a month and no one called, so I called ADT Solar back and the girl on the phone said that there was nothing they could do, their contractors are overbooked and I just need to wait. That's it, no resolution, no "let me see what I can do or contact someone else". Meanwhile my solar production is down and my electric bills are pilling up. My emails go unanswered. And I didn't even have a choice to be stuck with this company. If this continues legal action will be taken.

My breaker outside popped and it sparked Friday night 11/24/23 at 11pm. My daughter called our electric company but since this was the third time in two weeks they said it was customer equipment problem and did not send anyone. We called again Saturday morning at 6am and because the technician that came out the first time it happened he told me to call them back, so when my daughter told the representative that she sent someone out. That technician came and told me that they only deal with the meters and not the breaker box. He saw that a different box had scorch marks on it and that the tag was not one of theirs that I would need to call my solar company. I called at 8am Saturday and spoke with Francisco, he started a case and said this was a high priority and someone would come out that day. I waited for five hours and no one came nor called me. I called again and the second representative did not give his name and told me that the technician don't work on the weekends and I would have to wait until Monday. He did not care that we had no electricity and that my house could have caught fire and when I told him that they are very quick to receive payment but customers have to wait for them to fix our problems he hang up on me that was at 1pm. I called right back and spoke with representative Javier R and he was trying to get a manager to get someone to come out or call me. Again no phone call and no one showed up. I called Sunday and customer service office was closed so I pressed the option for new customers and representative was nice to put a note on my account and suggested to call early Monday morning. I called this morning (Monday) at 8am and spoke with Dominique, she messaged a manager and that someone would call me. I called again around 8:35am and got Dominique again and she sent another message to a manager. I told her that I would be calling every 15 to 30 minutes until I get someone to help me. I also told her that I would go to the office near me. I still did not get any response from no one. I called back at 9am and got Javier R again and he tried 3 different managers and he had not gotten a response from anyone. He told me that he would still be trying and call me back. Within 10 minutes I got a call from a technician and he was 15 minutes away. Technician Frank D got here and it didn't take him no more than 15 to 20 minutes to fix the problem. He couldn't believe everything I went through. He said that they are on call and what happened to me was an emergency and he even said that he was available Saturday to come out and fix it. I can't believe that this company does not have a emergency number or after hours customer service. They handle electrical services. My house has everything electric and that includes my water heater. I really regret getting solar panels. Also you know what all this means, all my food in the refrigerator went bad. I know that they would be giving me a refund for my food.

Really regret going with ADT, after installing the panels and turning them on they haven’t worked some micro inverters issue . Talked to my project manager Morgan Morris (not helpful at all) send me to customer service which told me it could take up to a week to get assigned a technician. DO YOUR SELF A FAVOR AND GO WITH A SMALL RELIABLE COMPANY.This people have a huge pool of customers for a little handful of employees. Very disappointed. I’m about to start to pay my loan and I’m still paying my electricity bill.

I hope people can see this message before you contact with ADT solar system. The salesman name Tim( I forgot his last name, but I have his number with area code 361) sold the ADT SOLAR SYSTEM to me and after they get ready to set up till now it’s very hard to contact him for questions. We had conversations about how many panels we need, and also he said that adding 2 more panels for Electric car will be more than enough. But my electric bill still higher than they expect. I contact him just to stop by check it out if the systems working right but he didn’t answer. That made me so upset, not cheap almost $30,000, and not worth it.I hope whoever about to getting solar system with Tim just be careful whatever he say.( thank you for reading the message)

Abraham was great! He was very cognizant of my time and cut to the points that really mattered to me and the company. Afterwards, he did not bug me like many others do... Instead he made it apparent that he was always open and available to any and all questions I may have... Small or big.

Beware of sneaky Salespeople, One guy told My parents that they will need 30plus solar panels-which is more money for commission for salesperson. When they talked with other solar companies, they said they needed way less. Be warned

The solar representative put on a good presentation, asked us to write a review in exchange for a yearly supply of lightbulbs, lied to us about several things.... And after the curtains closed things have been a complete nightmare! After the timely installation of our project, we have been wasting concerns that our system was not running properly. Month after month after month the repair team found one thing after another wrong with the installation. ADT solar, promised to reimburse us for the month's loss. This was approved by upper management but the check was never sent out. To make a bad situation worse, ADT solar told us that our system would cost $40,000! We got paperwork back from dividend finance saying it would be 54,000. When we confronted our sales representative about this, Steve told us that we would have a rebate and process and the $14,000 would come off- THIS NEVER HAPPENED! OUR SALES REPRESENTATIVE STEVE ALSO LET US KNOW THAT AFTER FILING OUR TAXES, WE WOULD ALSO RECEIVE ANOTHER CREDIT WHICH WE WOULD BE ABLE TO PUT TOWARDS OUR LOAN... Also NEVER HAPPENED.I have been in touch with so many chains all the way up the ladder through the customer service team. Most recently I have been in contact with the escalations manager emily. Emily has ignored my phone calls countlessly and is purposefully avoiding speaking with me! This company has been extremely dishonest and breaks the hearts and promises of their clients.

We did months of research before deciding to reach out to ADT Solar (they were still SunPro at the time). Our salesman was okay, but he was a salesman and VERY full of himself. However, the installation teams were nothing short of polite, respectful, and professional. Due to our salesman messing up something with our paperwork and then leaving the company, we had a minor hiccup. However, once everyone was on the same page, things started moving again. After talking with friends/family I feel confident that the salesman leaving, was the root cause of all our issues. My only criticism is that there be some way to keep a installation job on target, in the case that the salesman leaves the company. Now that our system is up and running, we are very pleased. We still have a minor issue, but it's most likely due to a lightening strike and not any fault of the products or installation. Overall, we selected ADT Solar because ADT has an excellent reputation for quality and customer service (from our own 12 years of experience), so we expected the same from their solar division. We also like the quality of products they provide. It definitely appears that they work hard to resolve issues, when they arise. I would highly recommend ADT Solar for the Hill Country of Texas; and have recommended them to several friends and family members.

Worst. Decision. Ever. ADT has the WORST communication that I have ever dealt with. Signed my contract in August of 2022, had them installed in October 2022, and it is now March 2023 and they are STILL NOT WORKING. Their technicians have no idea what they are doing!!I put in a cancellation request in December of 2022 (because that’s something I believed I could do via my contract) but they waited till I went to collections and told me in March 2023 that that’s not something they could do. I’ve talked to 10 people about their cancellation process and not ONE person told me anything. Once the panels are on your roof you can forget about them ever reaching out again.

Worst company ever. Since ADT bought sun pro solar, the company and the service is worst than ever. I have been trying to reach someone called Brooke that’s never in the office for past 2 weeks regarding removal of the solar panel so I can get my roof fix. I call them everyday and I get the run about of why I can’t talk to Brooke. All we need is an app for someone to come out and take the solar panels down. It’s extremely exhausting to wait 30 mins to speak to a customer service and than nothing happens. I will never do business with them.Edit: Still trying to get an appointment to get my solar panel remove. Now they have assign me to Amber Stanfield, who has been trying to figure out if bell county needs a permit for past two weeks. When I have told her plenty of time that Killeen doesn’t need a permit. I think now she has me blocked on her email. I can’t even email her anymore. I am just tired of the fact that I have to email them everyday to get an answer from them. At this point, I don’t even want the solar panel from them. This is worst experience I have ever had with a company. This company needs to close down because they lazy employees

Unprofessional, chaotic, undertrained nightmare! Money grubbing company that operates like it’s run by toddlers. We began our project Fall 2022 and are still waiting for the installation to finish! I have personally invested weeks of work hours trying to keeping this company responsive and accountable, with no redeeming results. The front end salesperson did a splendid job lying to our faces about the timeline and process, promising a deadline by end of 2022…Firstly, we’ve bounced from account clerk to account clerk. Meaning we get inconsistent communication with each bringing a new set of empty promising. Then, clerks promise communication from installation teams which has NEVER happened. I specifically asked to speak with a crew manager and was lied to again about their attempt to connect me.On the day scheduled for panel installation, we had a group of strange men appear on our front patio with a bunch of solar panels with NO warning. Thankfully, my husband stayed home that day just in case.On installation of panels, the crew DESTROYED several shingles. We knew this because our roof had been replaced days prior. Then, MONTHS of silence from the company passed. I had to submit an inquiry online for them to realize our account was still pending. They gave me a little ‘whoopsies’ and NO accommodation in terms of a discount or an expedited schedule. On installation of electrical, the crew appeared unannounced to our home. After we scrambled to accommodate them, they began drilling holes through our home exterior with NO COMMUNICATION or warning. We had NO SAY as to where the electric containers were going to go. My husband ran to them asking to stop, which they ignored, ruining our whole exterior wall. We know this isn’t standard procedure because our neighborhood is affluent in solar panel installations, which do not look remotely similar to what we see everyday on our walls outside. At 4:30 PM, the team, without a word, packed up and left a mess of plastic wraps, screws, and metal scraps. We spent hours cleaning up after them since they decided to install over the space where kids play. The cherry on top was they didn’t finish and didn’t follow up to reschedule. After weeks, an account clerk was able to reschedule electrical. This crew did not call to confirm nor bother showing up. All we got was a text from a clerk claiming the scheduler computer is down after the fact. So, here we are, with dead panels and gaudy containers sticking out of our beloved home, and no way to escape the horror that is ADT Solar.I’m speculative if the company rebranded and changed their name to mask their abysmal management track record. But don’t worry, they executed our loan to start in a timely manner…TO BE CLEAR: the individual clerks are NOT to blame as it seems those people are overtrained in how to manage customers. The issue has been the installation teams and whoever is in charge of training and scheduling them.Save yourselves, it’s too late for us
