I don't want anyone going through what I went through. Two years ago, I went with a tax issue from a previous return that was very easily solvable. I signed paperwork and was sent on my way, told I was all done. IRS contacts me months later. Nothing was done. I go back in, sign again. Months later, IRS contacts me again, nothing was done. I emailed and called Bandera Tax Services so many times without a response that I resorted to literally just showing up until they would help me. I begged in the emails. They never did anything. I should've known better and gone to a professional from the moment they first lied but each time they said they would fix it, I trusted them- plus, they had all my paperwork. Final result was my issue ended up in collections even though I didn't owe anything. I went to a proper tax service and solved the issue in one day. Seriously, save yourself the grief and don't go to them. They are irresponsible, do not return emails or calls and do not do what they say they're going to do. They can get you into serious legal and financial trouble.

So, first impression was opening the door and being greeted by Cash. Could not have asked for a better way of being greeted. After spending 10mins petting the good doggo, a human came out and helped me get signed in. I was offered snacks, coffee, soda and more pets from Cash. Then I got called in and was helped by Yaya. She reviewed my taxes, and explained a few things I didn't understand. If you're wondering if these folks do a good job...they lowered what I owed the government (by 80%) by finding a tax credit I qualified for. I found this place and didn't expect much from a nonprofit, but wow I was super amazed and extra happy for coming in.

This was my first time ever filing my taxes in the San Antonio area, and WOW WAS I IMPRESSED. I had the honor of working with Jorge to file my taxes, who was incredibly knowledgeable. I was asking questions regarding charitable donations, tuition and fees, loan interests and he was able to help me understand not just my taxes but my finances better. This is one of their three locations, and they also work remotely for those who may not live in San Antonio but still want to use their services. I recommend this location and their other two if you are looking to file your taxes or receive financial advise, as you will not be disappointed.

Uros Ceglaj did an excellent job, fastest tax return I have ever had + the fastest I have ever gotten the cash in my account (less than two weeks from the appointment for both State and Federal!) They do more than just taxes, helping people set up small businesses and involving themselves in various charitable and local business networking. Good people!

I usually do my own taxes through turbo tax, but I decided I would give them a chance and see if they could make the process easier and more thorough. We were able to make an appointment quickly and the customer service was great! We arrive to our appointment and the office was very nice and clean. Stephen promptly helped us and we were very surprised at the difference it made to use a tax service and not a do it yourself. You won't be disappointed using Bandera tax service!! The only reason I gave them a 4 and not a 5 was because they had a dog there and I didn't think that was allowed. The dog stayed out of the way though. I'll definitely return next year!
