I don’t leave reviews like this lightly, but after over three months, multiple long stays, and more than $3,000 spent, I feel obligated to warn people. If you’re considering bringing your car here, don’t.
I brought my car in for one issue — a check engine light with code P0012. That’s it. The car drove fine otherwise. That was 3–4 months ago. Today, after all the money and time I’ve wasted, that same exact code is still present, along with new problems that didn’t exist before they touched the car.
It took them around two weeks just to diagnose the issue, and the first major repair (about $2,200) took over a month. I was told it was fixed. Within a week, the check engine light came back on. Since then, the car has been in and out of this shop at least 3–4 times, with them keeping it 2–4 weeks at a time.
At one point, they said the parts they installed were defective, removed them, and then somehow ordered the wrong replacement parts — even though they had already done this repair once before. That mistake alone added more delays.
They also charged me $600 for an engine flush, claiming sludge buildup was the cause of the P0012 code. Later, when I questioned why the code kept coming back, I was told the flush “doesn’t always clean everything out.” So the area causing the original problem wasn’t even fully cleaned — yet I still paid $600 for it.
When I asked what the next step would be if the code keeps coming back, their answer was to pull the engine head, and if that doesn’t fix it, sell me on an engine rebuild or a brand-new engine. This is after already spending $3,000, with the original issue never being resolved.
While the car was in their care, my Ford app showed the vehicle at 0 miles to empty. I had to call and point this out myself. They eventually added $15 in gas, which tells me no one was paying attention to the vehicle at all. Running a car that low risks damage, and the fact I had to catch it is unacceptable.
Communication has been awful. I constantly had to call for updates because they never proactively reached out. Almost every time I called, I was told the person handling my car was “on lunch” or “busy,” and that they’d call me back. Most of the time, they didn’t.
Now, after all this, I’ve got:
• The same original P0012 code
• A new P0299 turbo underboost code
• A Powertrain Control Module warning I never had before
When I asked about the PCM warning, they admitted they didn’t even look at it, because it “wasn’t my concern” — unless I wanted to pay more.
The most alarming part? The manager straight up told me he’s done research and doesn’t know what’s causing the problem. Their solution was for me to drive the car for 30–60 days and see what happens.
At this point, it feels like trial-and-error mixed with upselling, not real diagnostics or competent repair work.
I will never bring my car back here for anything that isn’t absolutely forced by warranty, and I would not trust this shop with something as simple as an oil change.
If you value your money, your time, or your vehicle, take it somewhere else.

Great place to go to have work done. Real friendly, great work, and at a fair price. The owner and staff is great real easy to talk to and he will explain to you anything you need to know about the repairs that have been done to your truck and show you the parts they change out. The owner will even sit there and talk to you like an old friend. They guarantee their work and even go above and beyond. Just picked up my truck a 2011 Chevy Silverado. Truck was leaking coolant and overheating, ended up being two hoses in the back of the motor. They also found the thermostat was broken. When they drain the radiator they found grime inside. They notified me what they found and advised me they would recommend a flush. They found dirt and grime, now my truck is running great. While test driving my truck the gearshift line broke, so they fixed it at no labor charge what so ever. They just asked if I could pay for the part. My truck is a 2011 Chevy Silverado, so it's a old truck, so that part was originally equipment nothing lasts forever. They didn't have to do it but they love taking care of their customers. I can go on talking about all the great things about this shop have been coming here on and off for the past 9yrs. I would highly recommend this place and I have to friends and family.

A few months ago I brought my my vehicle in loud clunking noise in the engine and yup engine was messed up bit the honesty from the guys and owner was what got me they were true to there word and didn't try to make a dollar on something that wasn't an over night fix I really appreciate them giving me knowledge on what could've caused my vehicle cam/crank to go and cause scarring on the cylinder walks of the block. I got another used vehicle and will be going to them to check it out so thanks guys your one in a few shops that really care and do excellent work, we need you in the community you represent this community and we respect you

The team at Tieken Auto Services did an excellent job of diagnosing and repairing an ongoing issue that I was having with my car. Two other repair shops failed to correctly identify the cause. But years of experience by the mechanics at Tieken Auto led them directly to the problem. They also showed a great deal of ingenuity in coming up with a solution. I am very impressed by their commitment to getting the job done, no matter what the obstacles might be. I was also impressed by the clarity and care with which everything was explained to me by the staff. I felt empowered and respected. I highly recommend this business because I feel that it is a team that you can trust.

Drove from Virginia with a broken AC during the summer and really need to get the AC fixed. Local Nissan dealership quoted me crazy repair price prices and I was lucky to Google Tieken auto shop. The shop is honest and reasonable. My advisor Bruce was a great guy who kept me informed About the various components that needed to be replaced. The original repair quote was 2000 but he called me back to say that my evaporator coil was OK so my repair dropped down to 1300! Quite a sincere place.
I would have a recommend!!!

If you are looking for a GREAT and HONEST repair shop this is IT! Have been going here for years and always felt they were honest. Just did my 125,000 mile service and all they did was replace the cabin air filter. They could have told me lots of things needed to be done but they didn't. Fantastic place.

I went to a inferior auto repair shop. I should've known better. They made my brakes worse. "Breech of Intended Warranty" Here at Tieken , they found the root cause of bad brakes. Now i have a safe vehicle to drive. Tieken staff are highly trained with intelligent skilled set. Rolled in as a Lemon , after repairs it's a Prized Peach.

The people here are super friendly. Unfortunately we spent a few days getting some work one on our F150 while traveling and not a few hours after we got back on the road, this same issue started up again. After $1350 nothing was resolved. Pretty frustrating.Update 10/18/2023: I went to get the issues resolved at another facility and was told that the installation on the ring and pinion for the rear wheel drive was replaced incorrectly (causing the humming noise). The fix is to apparently start all over! After $3200 this is completely unacceptable. Brand new parts twice. I didn’t even know it was an issue when I went to this shop for another issue. They found this issue so I am not convinced it was a problem in the first place.update 10/23/23: talked to some specialists locally who told me that when you replace the ring and pinion that there is a 500 mile break-in period. So all the work that was done at this shop needs to be redone. Tieken knew we had to travel and didn’t inform us about the fact that it was not supposed to go in the highway for 500 miles. I’m absolutely blown away by the incompetence. I was absolutely taken advantage of. Do not let them work on your vehicle.

This place is amazing. I have been having so many issues finding a shop and being a female isn't super hard. But this place is clean friendly and gave me great advice and awesome quotes for other work I will need in the future. They don't push nothing on u and give u fair prices. Just call before make an appointment . They are busy cause they do Great work. Office staff is awesome owner is super nice n friendly. My new shop for all my future repairs. They are amazing come one down .
