Great interactions with the employees at this location...I left my headphones in a truck and couldn't come back to get them for like 6 hours, but they held them for me and made it easy to get them back.Another time I had an insane paperwork snafu with a different Uhaul, and this location was my drop off point. It would have cost me at least $350 dollars!Fortunately, we all worked together to get it fixed and saved me that money.I recommend doing business with this location if you're in the area for sure.One critical point I can make is that I think Uhaul could be more clear about costs. They give you everything you need, but the estimated taxes and maybe some other fees were minimized on the reservation page so when I budgeted for the move, I was under-budgetting by 40ish dollars.Maybe they do that to give the appearance of being competitive with competitors, but it isn't helpful to give the estimated subtotal instead of the estimated total price. I'm confident many others would agree.

We hired a locksmith to cut off the lock for our unit so we could get into it. The management refused to let him in, even though I was with him. They refused because he was speaking Spanish. He even showed his card issued by the Texas showing he was licensed but they refused to let him in because they said he needed a paper. They even called the company and they proved he worked for them but the girls still refused him access. These women were racist again the Hispanic customer and Hispanic locksmith. Do not store your items here if you are too dark or beware of not being let in and treated poorly ☹️ I will be canceling my storage immediately and reporting these rude girls to management.

I had a smooth and fantastic experience from one of the employees her name is Casi Perez. Would recommend anyone who comes to this U-haul storage to request her for assistance. She’s respectful, kind and hard working she gets the work done, she got me checked in quickly, gives you every bit of information you need. You have questions she has the answers right away. If I can give more stores I would!

I had a horrible experience with this location. Everything was fine until it became time to return. I returned after hours and was unable to complete mobile check in due to the store not having the correct information in the system matching my vehicle .I had to wait a hour with customer service to try to resolve this which after a long day of moving was absolutely unacceptable. I will never book at this location again.

I'd like to put zero stars but I can't. My RV's catalytic converter was stolen twice from this place. They don't have any cameras near the large RV parking so you're taking a risk parking anything there. Plus the teens working the counter look at you weird when you ask for a pen. It's odd.

The GM and the young white woman with the trailer park trash attitude with the gothic style needs to find another job. McDonalds don’t require customer service skills at all, they would be a perfect fit for such company.

I had called the main U-Haul number and was told to go to this location to return my trailer. The manager was extremely rude, he did not want to deal with my trailer return and sent me to another location but could not give me an address for this other location. I had to call the main number again and ended up at the location on 6745 FM 78, they were very helpful and took my return quickly.

Have been a customer for 3 years and the security sucks. My rv got broken into and they could care less. The place is starting to look like a junk yard. Old, battered cars and other vehicles stored there. Useless pieces of equipment sitting around. Just looks horrible. Getting out ASAP..

I had a very positive experience returning my U-haul equipment here (15' truck & Auto trailer) after a cross-country move from Maryland in August 2023. Very courteous reception and efficient process to get me back on the road quickly.

Had a fantastic experience here today. Reservation at 7am for a trailer. The front desk person helped me right away, and got me checked in. In the meantime, they went and brought the rented dolly over next to the trailer I was taking. Sent me outside, backed up, and they hooked everything up and had me on my way in no time. Great, efficient crew!

I wish U-Haul did a better job moving equipment around on early reservations. I originally was trying to rent from a location that was 15 minutes from my home. U-Haul called me almost immediately and told me I needed to go to another location...25 minutes away from my home. My reservation was made at least 3 days in advance...plenty of time to get a 6X12 trailer to my location of choice.As for my experience at FM78...it was good. A little slow at the counter but the guys in the yard got me connected and on my way. Drop off was even easier.

Upon arriving for my trailer rental I parked to close to the propane area and a young lady rushed out to see if I was there for propane and then informed me to move my truck with "attitude". Okay, truck moved and I go inside where I proceed to wait 10 minutes with no acknowledgement from the staff. The one associate at the counter is helping an older lady who has a lot of questions. I wait patiently as I can see and hear the location manager in the office which is adjacent to the front counter. With the manager is the other young lady who rushed out to tell me to move my truck with attitude and another associate who has walked through the front counter area and not made any contact with me. Now all three are in the office as they know I am waiting still. Fortunately for me another customer comes inside and gets in line behind me which prompts the young lady from my propane parking encounter to IMMEDIATELY rush to the front counter and provide me with "attitude" service. I asked if I could have a certain RV trailer with the barn doors and was told with "attitude" that particular trailer was going to another city and that I could not have it. In 25 years of renting with Uhaul that was the first time I have ever been denied my request for a particular trailer. The trailer that I wanted also had newer tires. The trailer I was given had a flat during my rental that incurred a 3 hour road side assistance wait. Had I been given the trailer I requested I doubt I would have had the flat. I'm not sure why the Location on FM78 at WoodLake seems to have issues with me. I book my rentals online ahead of time. I have the proper towing vehicle and equipment. I can back my truck up to the trailer so the associates have the easiest hook-up possible. And yet when I arrive to this location I feel like I am the enemy. And to be fair the experience at most Uhaul front counters are NOT friendly. So I am constantly trying to find a location somewhat close to me that has the equipment I need and some basic level of communication and acknowledgement but that seems to be the toughest part. Propane lady could have processed my rental and I could have been hooked up and gone in the time I waited in the lobby for help but for whatever reason I was not important until another customer came inside. Returning the trailers at this location is easy enough and they check them in quickly.

This is my first time at this location and the last. The staff is full of misinformation about rentals and refunds, including the general manager. Their customer service is horrible, Melanie and Marissa have zero customer service skills and are just flat out rude. They don’t care about making the customer experience better or fixing problems caused by fellow employees. I will never go back, as Marissa says “100% sure”.
