Poor Experience — Will Not Return to this Store
I had quiet an experience at this store on July 22, 2025
I had a deeply upsetting experience at Ulta that I believe reflects racial bias and discriminatory treatment. While my partner and I (both women of color) were browsing the Maelys cream section, a store associate loudly and repeatedly announced, “Can I get a second set of eyes in this aisle?” singling us out without reason and making us feel publicly targeted and humiliated.
We were not acting suspiciously in any way and were simply shopping like anyone else. Following that announcement, we were then followed throughout the store. The message was clear: because we are women of color—Black and Hispanic— we were being profiled.
I even emailed Ulta corporate and called for a resolution, but received nothing meaningful in return — only a follow-up call from store management that felt unprofessional and lacked any real accountability. I didn’t even receive an apology. The whole experience left me humiliated and angry.
This is unacceptable, and no customer should be treated this way. I will be taking my business elsewhere and will not be shopping at Ulta again. I also strongly encourage others, especially people of color, to consider where their money is being spent and how they are being treated.
Do better, Ulta.

So happy I ran into Sabrina! She was able to help me get matched with a new foundation. She also had some great recommendations for other products I needed. She was super kind, patient and thoughtful!

Beverly was so helpful! She helped me color match a tinted moisturizer (which I’ve really struggled to do!) and gave me some really helpful suggestions on some other products I’ve been considering. I can’t wait to try what she recommended!

I was immediately greeted as I entered the store to look around for the first time in a long time. The large selection was a bit overwhelming so the staff offered their help and led me to a great purchase. I truly appreciated their eagerness and extensive product knowledge.

I had a terrible interaction in person with the manager Judy today. She has a very disgusting and aggressive attitude…yikes. She was snappy and interrupted me every time I spoke. Hopefully she can learn how to treat others with kindness and respect because her behavior was very inappropriate.

Brittany is amazing at brows she has truly brought mine back to life after having them threaded and completely botched. They are now full and coming back to life!!!! She is so good and if you want your brows done please go see her!!!

Came in looking for makeup for prom, completely lost because i don’t do much makeup. I was helped by Lilian, she was the sweetest employee ever. She made sure the things she helped me pick out would match my skin and last all night. She had the best attitude and was very patient when i didn’t know exactly what i wanted.

Gordon is the ABSOLUTE WORST manager on staff. I thought he was a regular staffer with the experience and attitude I had with him. Shocked when all the other cashiers told me he was the manager when I asked to speak with one. If you don’t have an account and don’t want to provide your phone number to him he will treat you like garbage. Walked in to make a simple stocking stuffer purchase and refused to give my number to “open an account” Gordon proceeds forcibly hand me my bag with the worst attitude I’ve seen from a “manager”. It was 3 failed attempts to get any phone number from me because he said “with this type of purchase a phone number is required” I would avoid this location at all costs as. Plenty of Ultas in town to get treated respectfully at.

I recently visited this Ulta location while in town for the weekend with my husband. We were moving our belongings from a warehouse in San Antonio, and I had planned to treat myself to some new makeup. Unfortunately, I had been rushed in Florida and forgot my gift card, so I never had the chance to purchase what I needed. I walked into the store feeling a bit lost, as I don't typically shop at this location unless I'm with my sister.
My goal was to find makeup that properly matched my complexion, and I was prepared to make a purchase. However, I found it frustrating that I had to spend money just to receive a color match. I was assisted by an employee with long hair and a blue streak, but I found their attitude to be less than helpful or friendly. This interaction led me to decide it would be better to wait until I returned to Florida to shop.
Previously, I had an excellent experience with an associate named Arianna in Florida, who was not only friendly but also very attentive to my needs, finding the perfect products without asking about my budget. Unfortunately, this experience was the opposite, and I left feeling disappointed and empty-handed. Overall, I’m looking forward to returning to Florida for a more positive shopping experience.
