Please make sure to book with an experienced stylist or just don’t book at all. I asked for long layers and ended up with a short layered cut. My shortest layer is half the length of my longest layer... Since my hair was styled after the cut I did not notice the error at the time. Very disappointed.

I stopped by the salon a couple of weeks ago while out shopping. A stylist at the register said she could do a quick walk-in cut for my daughter, which I appreciated. I understand it was a $25 haircut, but I wasn’t informed of the stylist’s experience level. Unfortunately, the layers were uneven and not well blended. Another stylist even had to assist partway through. When I politely mentioned my concerns, I was told the cut was done correctly. I didn’t want to make a scene, so I paid and left. The stylist was very kind, but the quality of the haircut was disappointing. We’ll be going elsewhere for future cuts.

Salon review: looking back now, I wish I would’ve walked out when Nasrin started arguing with me with how I wanted my hair. I was very specific about the length and that I wanted a curly cut because I’m wearing my hair natural more. (My stylist was out sick so they put me with Nasrin and told me she knows how to work with curly hair, which she does not)
She fought back so much about the length because she doesn’t like shorter hair…well it’s not her hair, it’s mine. Then she proceeded to brush out my curls and cut them with a lot of tension saying that’s how you do curl cuts. She had no clue what I meant when I said I didn’t want my hair to look like a triangle (spoiler alert, one side does, of course because she does not know how to work with curly hair). She kept telling me some of my curl patterns were pretty while others were not pretty. Who says that?! Especially a stylist.
Then she told me that curly hair needs almost no product in it and refused to put more in even when I told her that unfortunately my hair gets frizzy really easily so I do need more product in it. When she diffused my hair she was moving it around like a brush which made my hair frizz even more. I’ve never hated a haircut more. I’m always in the mindset of “it’s hair, it’ll grow”, I cried with how unhappy I was with everything.
Even other stylists were having to correct her but she wouldn’t listen. It was unbelievable.
Do not go to her unless you’re willing to have her do your hair how she wants it, not how you want it.

I really hated my saloon experience here, I opted for blowout my stylist Brianna done a horrible job. My hairservice never looked like it had a saloon service. I just wasted my 50 $ on this worst ever blow out. She disnot even ask me if I liked it or not. I asked for manual curls amd she did it with a machine and she is very bad at doing blowout. My hair is so flat and said the same to the stylist, she just sprayed some product amd combed my hair which is too worst. I wasted my money

They’ve got everything! And if you can’t find it, just ask and they’ll take you to it. They help you choose colors that work together and are always friendly.

Wow... just wow... I'm sitting in the car, just walked out. No one even said hello. I was able to walk the whole store. The only one who made eye contact was the security guard. Employees standing in the center gabbing. I purposely wore no makeup for a good color match. I guess that means I don't buy makeup and don't need help. I'll be shopping at Sephora where they care.

Ordered a lip balm online and picked it up at store. They put a used one in the bag. After finding it out and exchanging for a new one, they gave me a wrong item. Very disappointed. One of the worst shopping experiences.

I’ve shopped at this Ulta for years and get my hair cut and root touch ups with Amanda at the salon. I’ve always been happy with my experience and have talked to Amanda for a while about getting a balayage treatment on my almost black hair. I trusted Amanda and she DELIVERED!!! My hair looks so beautiful and the color exceeds my expectations! It compliments my skin tone so well and highlights my features in a way I didn’t know was possible!! She never pressured me into getting the treatment and took time to understand what I wanted so that I would love my hair. She was patient with my hair that took a little longer to pick up the color cause of how dark it was, but didn’t rush or force a bad job. I’m so thankful and happy that this major change to my hair was done by Amanda at the Ulta salon.

This is the worst location. No one smiles or offers to help they actually avoid you and it happens every time. The most recent time I went I wasn’t greeted walking in and everyone got quiet, it’s really judgy in that store. The females seem very stuck up or disinterested in providing good customer service. I was dressed in shirt, shorts with crocs so I’m not sure if it was the way I looked. Bandera location is so much nicer and friendly/welcoming!
