Our family has been so impressed with the experience our children are having at University Primary. The learning here is active and engaging—students are encouraged to explore, ask questions, and learn by doing. It’s been amazing to watch our kids grow not just in knowledge, but in confidence and curiosity.
The staff and teachers are truly exceptional. Their commitment goes far beyond academics—they take the time to know each child and invest in their individual development.
We also deeply appreciate the school’s commitment to Christian values. The use of “trail markers” throughout the year is such a thoughtful and unique way to guide students in both spiritual and personal growth. It helps connect biblical principles with everyday life in a way children can really understand and carry with them.
And finally, the community here is something special. Parents are invited to be a part of the journey, and it feels like a true partnership. We feel welcomed, supported, and valued.
We’re thankful every day for the impact this school is making on our children and our family as a whole.

My daughter loves it here and so do we. It’s a great place to learn and my daughter has thrived in her classrooms. Both of her teachers have been amazing. We absolutely love Ms Karen. We know she is well taken care of and loved by her teachers.
We highly recommend this school to everyone.

UMPS has been a blessing for our family. The school is NAEYC accredited which was a major factor when searching for a preschool for our daughters. Pastor Holly does a fantastic job helping children understand God's love during Chapel and guides the children in creating their own spiritual foundation in God. The school is filled with nurturing teachers like Ms. Jane, Ms. Natalie and Ms. Kara the music teacher. The caring and helpful staff like Michele, Amanda, and Lari are always quick to respond or reply to anything you may need. UMPS offers a rigorous age appropriate curriculum but still allows plenty of time to learn through play and outside time. Very grateful we found UMPS!

Highly recommend!! Both my boys have had such a good experience. They’ve had amazing teachers that really know and care for them. They’ve both left the school year learning so much, with more confidence, and excited to go to school. Couldn’t ask for more.

We have been at UMPS for 4 years and it has been an absolute blessing for our kids and our whole family. If you are looking for a school that has small class sizes (max of 12 per class with a teacher and an aide in every room), lots of individual attention, plenty of time to learn through play and activities, and just be able to be a kid at school, this is the place for you! Both of my children have loved going to school every day, which an amazing way to start their school experience. The staff is caring and knows each family well, the kids have made great friendships, and they were more than prepared academically for elementary school when we transitioned out. Leaving UMPS is bittersweet for us because it has been such a special place for my kids to start their school experience and it will hold special memories for all of us.

I cannot say enough about how amazing this school, the teachers and leadership are. My children have grown both in the classroom and in their faith during their time at the school. We have been here over 5 years and have had incredible teachers that truly love my kids and celebrate them alongside us. Both the preschool and school-age programs have enriched my kids and given them valuable tools to explore the world around them. The community among parents is very special as well. University Primary has been such a gift to our family!

I can’t express how happy I am with the teachers and staff! This was our first year at this campus, and I only wish I had known sooner so I could have enrolled my child at a younger age. The school goes above and beyond with family nights and offers so many opportunities for family engagement throughout the year. It truly feels like a supportive and welcoming community!

As someone who works closely with early childhood education programs and childcare quality initiatives in our area, I can confidently say this preschool reflects a deep commitment to high-quality standards. As a parent, I specifically sought out a program with NAEYC accreditation, and this school has far exceeded my expectations. The curriculum emphasizes developmentally appropriate practices and intentional instructional strategies that foster both cognitive and social-emotional growth.
What truly sets this program apart, however, is the staff. UMPS has been a blessing for my children. My oldest attended for three years and my youngest has been there for one year. I was looking for a NAEYC accredited program for my kids. There are not that many in San Antonio, so I was very thankful to find UMPS. The curriculum is great, the teachers are kind, and it feels great to know that my kids are in safe hands.

University Methodist Primary School has been a true blessing to our family. The caring, Christ-centered teachers, strong communication, and safe, nurturing environment make it stand out. Our kids love going each day, and even though we live farther away, it’s worth the drive for a school where they thrive academically, spiritually, and socially.
