Saw other reviews in the area for postal passport services and was scared because of how bad the reviews were, went downtown early morning and had a great smooth experience. They treat you how you treat them so be kind (:

Never been to a Post Office that has one person working the counter and doing Passport applications. Most post offices have set passport hours and a person available for that. Waiting over 40 minutes for a simple postal transaction makes one consider using fed ex or UPS instead.

Too much construction, $30 to park, Google did not know where the entrance was, had to go thru security (wow), and only 1 window
Luckily a homeless man told me where to enter the post office and watched my car in a lot: I gave him $2 for 5 minutes.
People are really stupid to live, work, or go downtown San Antonio.

One person working while doing passports and other admin stuff leaves people waiting FOREVER! INSANE! Do NOT recommend. Go to another location unless you have a couple of hours to waste on something that takes 2 mins! And Diane has a very passive aggressive attitude. Just horrible experience overall.

I went to this USPS yesterday and had the worst experience ever. My appointment for a passport was set to be 15 minutes long and start at 1:15. I proceeded to wait until 1:30 until I got up to the window after arriving at 1PM. There had only been two separate customers before me. When I finally got up to the window the lady was rude. I explained why I was there and what time my appointment was and she told me “everyone here has an appointment they’re waiting for.” I wasn’t accusing or even upset at this point but she got defensive. Then she told me to walk down to a the first brown door while she asked what everyone behind me was there for. About 8-10 people had piled up behind me. She proceeded to take 10-15 minutes going through the line of people that had been BEHIND me. She got through the line faster than I thought but I had a set appointment time and at this point I’d been there for 45 minutes. I was starting to get upset. Two people had gotten in line behind me at the door as well. She let us in and said something like “okay I’m going to take your photo” and one of the two people said they already had their photo. Then she made a snarky remark about how she was sooo glad that they had everything they needed before showing up to the post office and how that’s how you’re suppose to do it and it helps her soo much. She wasn’t quiet at all. She was actually really loud like she wanted me and the other person she was taking a photo of to hear that. Mind you I had booked a PHOTO & passport session. It’s not like they didn’t know I was coming. After she took the photo she told me to go to the front. I went to the front assuming I would be the first person she helped. After all I had been standing around for an hour at this point. There was one person sitting at the window. They were also there for their passport appointment. Mind you they had JUST arrived. When the USPS lady got back to the window she didn’t tell them “I’m sorry but this lady has been here for a long time and I’d like to help her first” or maybe something like “I’m sorry but her appointment was scheduled before yours”…. NO. Instead she sat there and checked them out which took another 15 minutes. I stood at this USPS for over an hour for something that should’ve taken 15 minutes. If it had been 30 minutes it would be okay but OVER an HOUR!!!? Worst experience I’ve ever had. The only reason I didn’t walk out is because I really need my passport as soon as possible. I had also already paid for parking. Parking cost me $20 for two hours. I only booked two hours so I could walk around afterwards and maybe eat somewhere. I did not have any time left to do that. If I wanted to add another hour to my parking was it would’ve cost ANOTHER $20. I will NEVER come here again. They are horrendously rude and ridiculously inconsiderate.

Building has security much like the airport because it is also a Court House and Federal Building. People are shocked at this but the building clearly says Court House/ Post Office above the front entrance. Post Office closes at 5:00 p.m. and the building is locked at 5:45 p.m. and closed on all Federal holidays.

Holiday hours weren’t updated so I wasted a lot of walking and time. Beautiful building though.

They Leave early, open late or at will. Packages constantly get lost. You are at their mercy. They don’t do their job! This branch should be closed if they can’t support it. Thanks USPS

The women who took over from the gentleman who just retired in this post office needs to be replaced. She’s been closing at 2, I walk over with packages to ship at 3:30, 4 and she’s been closed. This has happened 4 times in 3 weeks. Get rid of her, I own two stores downtown and have to close them just to ship. This is a compete waist of time

I was there today for my passport application and I strongly advise against their exorbitant photo services. You're better off going to CVS or Walgreen but don't pay for a photo service at USPS, because USPS doesn't have a professional for that.
