The cashier's were very pleasant and showed great customer service. I noticed some people mentioned there are homeless people in this area. I did see a few homeless guys walking by or sitting on the far side of the concrete but none of them approached me. The place was well lit. The location could use a good power wash, but nothing too bad.

Besides the countless homeless people causing a ruckus in the parkinglot, customer service has been seeing a sharp decline.I've been patronizing this Valero a lot this year as it's on the way to my buddy's house, so it's a convenient stop for snacks or smokes. There's a hispanic cashier with long hair and glasses who has always been very polite & kind, though I haven't seen him lately.Today, I stopped in to find a new female cashier I've never seen before, didn't think much of it. I don't know what her problem was, but she refused to sell me cigarettes because the (30 something?) guy in front of me in line tried to buy the same kind, but had an expired ID.Good lord the attitude! She kept going on about "2nd party purchase" because I happened to also want a pack of Marlboro reds. Really left me scratching my head. Luckily there are other locations nearby, but man is it annoying to have to deal with. I think I'm just gonna avoid this dump from now on...
