By far the worst service I have ever had. First, my car was lost at the dealership for 2 days before it even got processed. Service department has no idea what is going on with customer’s vehicles. I didn’t know my battery was under warranty. I went and bought a new one, voiding my warranty for the battery. I was told by someone there I screwed myself (literal words)! Then they call to tell me the brand new battery was not working. I took the battery to where I bought it. Battery is fine. In between all this mess they could not find my car or tell me what was wrong with it! I finally go pick up my car for them to charge me 200$ for I don’t know what because the guy tells me that my car will have the same issue because the wrong battery was purchased. They didn’t tell me that! They told me the battery was dead. Why not tell me I had the wrong battery when you sent me to get the one I had tested cause “it was no good.” I am livid! I purchased my vehicle from here. I will never purchase another vehicle or take my truck here for anything ever again.

Went to have my stock radio serviced or corrected on my 2016 Suburban due to glitching on the screen changing on its own from the radio to GPS to other screens. But Mr. William Russell was more focused on a $182.86 out of pocket charge to me and made that a priority in our conversation. I made a scheduled appointment 3 weeks ago or prior to my 8 am appointment for 11.15.2023 to be told that it wouldn't be touched for 5 days. I stated that's the reason I made an appointment 3 weeks ago due to my availability and the service departments availability. He stated that it would be 15 days before it would be touched had I not made an appointment. Which makes absolutely not sense because why make a appointment 3 weeks in advance. Then he stated that if the issue didn't happen while it was being looked at that I would be out of pocket the $182.86 to which I stated I have no control when the radio glitches so how does that make sense or how is that my problem that's why the vehicle is here in the first place. To correct the issue which is under warranty an extended warranty to which I am responsible for as far as the $100 deductible that I've paid in the past when I've had issues that needed to be corrected. At which point I took my vehicle with me because he made no effort to help with the situation but made the $182.86 service charge his priority. This is very unacceptable now I still have this on going issue without a resolution and a warranty that isn't being utilized due to Mr. William Russell making the $182.86 charge his main focus. I would greatly appreciate a resolution in this matter as far as correcting the on going issue with the stock radio which is still under warranty.

Do not take your vehicle here - go elsewhere. They will find opportunities to upcharge you for their mistakes and will not communicate or take accountability for their missteps in diagnosing your vehicle. Had a truck in for service where the complete work should have been done the first time, but had to take it back to correct the issue and ended up paying additionally for labor when it should have been done initially. Extremely frustrating and could not get clear updates or answers on when the vehicle would be done and why this wasn't done right the first time. Save yourself the headache and don't waste your time or money.

No waiting great customer service. The people were great. I live outside of Tacoma Washington when I travel this works great to get my services done. This is the second time in three months I have been to San Antonio. Thanks for the service. Also Michelle was very helpful. I will definitely be back.

Still have my car in the shop for 3 months and it's been ready for 3 weeks there is no communication between me and the service advisor. They said it would take up to a month to finish and there was always a excuse on their end on why they still not completed the car and now it's ready for 3 weeks and they waiting on payment issues with my insurance when they should of looked at in the beginning. Worse experience I ever had with a company and especially with a big company like Chevrolet you would think they have their stuff together but guess not.

I took my SUV for an oil change and tire rotation and the guy upfront William was very friendly and helpful. Within 40 mins he let me know my truck was ready but I noticed they did not do my tire rotation ?? so I told him that and he took care of it. This was my first time at this dealership... but I don't know if they like to cut corners or it was an honest mistake.??Trust and confidence mean a lot for me.

The best customer service! I was welcomed as a walk in on a busy Friday. Gilbert Lozada had me checked in quickly and kept me updated on my vehicle. The service team had me in and out of the dealership in under an hour! I can't wait to buy my next vehicle from Vara.

I have sent an email directly to the general manager outlining all the issues but have yet to receive a response. I tried calling directly and was told I'd get a response via email. Tomorrow will make one week.

I recently went in to Vara Chevrolet and did a trade in/purchase of a new vehicle. They had friendly staff and refreshments waiting for us while we waited to be attended to. My sales rep Jacob did a wonderful job explaining all of the paperwork and processes that we were under going. He made it easy to get through and does a great job keeping in touch after the fact to make sure you are happy with your purchase. Would recommend to people in the market for a Chevrolet vehicle.

I have never bought a brand new vehicle and Mr. Art Resendez made this experience wonderful at Vara Chevrolet. He told my husband and I what to expect in price and payment. He was very kind and professional. I love my truck. We were in and out very quickly and did I mention it already I love my truck?.

Vara Chevrolet has been in possession of my vehicle since 19 July 2023. My vehicle was towed there as it was the nearest dealerahip to where I had vehicle trouble. It was an entire month, 19 August 2023, before I was even offered a loaner vehicle as I paid out of pocket for a rental. My vehicle has not been touched since 4 August 2023. This is unacceptable, and I would never recommend anyone to buy a vehicle or get service there. It should not matter if the vehicle was purchased there or not. A Chevrolet is a Chevrolet no matter where it was purchased. I have sent emails and left a voicemail and not a response. Maybe this blast review on Google will be enough to get my vehicle worked on and worked on correctly. If not, I will move up the chain until something happens.*Update 12 September 2023*Spoke with the owner, David Vara, and it was a very interesting conversation. He told me that he prioritizes customers who purchase a vehicle from the dealership when it comes to loaner vehicles and services. Makes so much sense why nobody works on my vehicle until you constantly call or you show up and cause a fuss. He also said there are plenty of people working there that someone should have gotten back with me about my vehicle. I have owned Chevrolet my entire adult driving life, and no matter where I have taken them for service, I was always treated well, and the services were completed in a timely manner. Never have I experienced this. If I had been able to take it back to where it was purchased, I would have, as I would more than likely have had my vehicle by now.

Guess it wont matter much since their star rating is a 1.8. Got a recall for my airbags so i take my vehicle in to Vara Chevrolet. Everything went smooth till i go my truck back and the red light was on to service my airbag. I didnt even leave the parking lot and went right back. They took my truck back and eventually they came back saying my light was on when i brought it in, i told them i would have noticed a red light on. I didnt take it in because my airbag light was on but only because i got a recall notice on airbag. So now I'm driving a vehicle that the airbags don't work and puts me and my family in danger if by chance i get into an accident.

This place is TERRIBLE my wife brought her car here they said they could fix the damage told us they would use ODM partsWe looked at the itemized list and it was all cheap after market. Could not get the front bumper to fit right. Then they would ghost us and not reply back to phone calls. Had to take it to another place and they laughed at the work that was done fixed it with no issues.

I went for my 20,000 mile oil change. The service rep was very courteous & friendly. However, he seemed to be more intent on trying to convince me to let them do an engine check or something about the cabin air filter saying it was recommended that it be done at this mileage more than interested in hearing my concerns about a recall letter I received & wanted them to check. He quickly stated that he had a record of that recall when he pulled up the VIN number & they’d check it.He asked if I had any reward points & kindly helped me find that on the app on my phone only to discover I did have some points coming to me which I said I would like to use toward the charges.It was about 4:30 so I understand that they were anxious to get off work. It only took about 30 minutes for them to finish which was nice. I paid for it & had to look for my car because no one told me where it was. In looking at the receipt, I noticed that under the recall it said “customer will return” to have it checked. So hunted down my rep to ask him about it. He stated that the technician who did that work wasn’t in & it would take about 1-1/2 hours to do the work if it needed to be done. I would need to return, but he didn’t offer that information when I checked out. After getting home I realized they didn’t give me credit for my rewards. ?♀️ It makes me feel like they aren’t listening & don’t really care.
